From the Principal The Royal Commission As the first of the two weeks of hearings in Perth by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse draws to a close, it would be impossible for anyone not to be moved by the submissions that have been heard. The Commission is a good and powerful instrument which it is hoped will provide meaningful acknowledgement and support for the victims.

All people hope that the work of the Commission helps to facilitate justice, peace and healing for the victims of abuse. It is also hoped that it will provide further reassurances about the many measures that are now in place to ensure the safety of all children today and into the future.
