HAPPY RETIREMENT DAN NEUGEBAUER!
Dan Neugebauer began his John Deere career on November 22,1977 working for Weber Equipment Inc in Parkston, SD as a bookkeeper and was there for 31 years. At that time, there were only ledger books & journals – everything done by hand. The computer age arrived in the fall of 1987.
Weber Equipment also purchased the Chamberlain store in 1987. Weber Equipment was purchased by Noteboom Implement Inc. in Corsica in May of 2008. During his years with Weber’s and Noteboom’s he wore many hats, from Bookkeeping, Settlements, JD Statements, helping at the parts counter, assisting store managers and helping customers in any way he could.
C&B acquired the Noteboom stores in August of 2018, and Dan continued working on the Sales Processing team. I have appreciated having him on my team for the last 6 years. Dan has had a very rewarding career, and he cherishes all his co-workers and customers that he has met over the last 47 years.
Dan is hoping to spend more time with his wife, daughters and their families, watching sporting events and doing a little golfing. Thanks, Dan, for all your contributions over the years and we wish you the very best in your retirement! Please send your congratulations to Dan at neugebauerd@cbequipment and wish him a great retirement
AWARDS & RECOGNITION IN
IDA GROVE, IA
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Spencer, IA Community Impact
Ida Grove recently had four service techs awarded with Certified Technician.
On the day of the flood, we opened the C & B store to be a temporary shelter and kept impacted residents overnight until other accommodations were arranged. Staff and families spent the weekend of the flood plus countless other days and hours working with their neighbors and friends to help them recover. The unofficial number of hours donated by the Spencer team was in excess of 500 hours. Activities included the following: cleaning houses of flood debris, working to volunteer at the shelters by serving food, unloading trucks with supplies, opening their homes to others that needed the help.
This event has made a lasting impact on everyone in the area, and we hope to never see something like this again.
Billings, MT Community Impact
The team in Billings cleaned up a portion of the interstate between exits 446 & 447 in front of the store. They filled over 60 bags of trash!
Pictured right: The Billings team donated over $500 and the store matched their donations. This was to support the local Friendship House with their Dress a child program. We collected enough to provide coats, boots and other winter clothing for 8 Kids.
Glasgow, MT Community Impact
Block of Bucks is a meaningful charity initiative where C&B employees, alongside dedicated volunteers, stand at busy intersections to collect donations from passing drivers. The funds raised directly support the purchase of winter clothing for children in need, ensuring they remain warm and protected during the colder months. This impactful effort transforms community generosity into essential resources for children who might otherwise face the winter without adequate clothing. This year’s event was a tremendous success, raising $27,374— an impressive increase from last year’s total of $17,280.
Idaho Falls, ID Community Impact
The team in Idaho Falls volunteered at the Community Food Basket. They sorted food and helped with 243 baskets to hand out to for Thanksgiving. This food basket helps 16000 people monthly (6000 families) of which 48 % are children. Seniors are also a big part of who this Food Basket helps.
