FALCON FAMILY NEWS

A MESSAGE

FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF LASALLIAN STUDENT LIFE

Dear Families:

This time of year, a special word resonates: hygge It is an old Danish word that evokes comfort, being home, sitting next to a fireplace with your cozy socks and pumpkin spice latte, slowing down the fast-paced life, and connecting to the most essential thing of life: relationships

There are two places where faith-filled students find a home: school and church This year, the LSLO has launched an initiative to invite the parish priests of our surrounding churches to celebrate chapel Mass with students who belong to their faith community. Connecting school and parish is a hygge moment.

November begins with the Solemnity of All Saints. This feast reminds us that we are all saints in the making and belong to a family cheering us on to everlasting life. Celebrating the champions of faith and aspiring to be like them is a hygge moment.

November also calls to mind those who have died. We will remember them in all our chapel Mass this month. Remembering them gives us the profound sense that they are still alive and that in death, "life has changed, not ended "

As we step into November, I encourage your senior student to seize the unique opportunity of the November Kairos This week-long retreat is not just an event, but a transformative experience that bonds students together and helps them reflect on their future and the importance of meaningful relationships The faith-filled experience will be at Alliance Redwoods, amidst the serene beauty of Sonoma County's majestic redwoods

Hygge, a Danish concept of comfort and connection, is not just a word but a feeling that we strive to create within our school community. Let's embrace all the faith-related events and initiatives that CB offers, as they are designed to foster this sense of comfort and meaningful relationships.

Live Jesus in our hearts!
