A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Families:
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We are beyond grateful that you have invited us to be partners in the education of your children and we look forward to making this, our 149th year, our best yet. Please know that we hold this partnership as sacred as we work to ensure that our year is filled with learning, new adventures, and growth
Our annual Club Rush for students takes place on Friday, September 20 New families, clubs offer fantastic opportunities for students to get involved in activities and spend time with students who share their interests and passions There are more than 75 student-led clubs to join ranging from faith- and service-based clubs, academic teams, to artistic interest clubs, and cultural affinity groups There is something for everyone and we hope you will encourage your sons and daughters to jump right in and join a few
We also invite all our families to get involved in the many volunteer activities and community events at Christian Brothers We have the Lasallian Parent Ambassador group, the DEIB Parent Committee, opportunities to volunteer at our various arts events, and everyone’s favorite community event – the CB Extravaganza! If you have never experienced the extravaganza…I encourage you to join us for the party with a purpose! The CB Extravaganza brings wineries, breweries, restaurants, caterers, live music, and so much more to campus to provide vital support to CB’s tuition assistance fund. Bring a neighbor, bring a friend, come out and experience a wonderful night that raises much needed funds to support our students. More information regarding volunteerism can be found here.
I am pleased to share that we have welcomed several new members to our CB community this year including counselors Amy Archer, Kara McGuire, and Suzanna Shenk-Tiffany. New to our classrooms are Jeff Wilson (Math), Joshua Keeney (Religious Studies), Dominque Brown (English), and Vanessa Michel (Spanish) We are grateful that these wonderful educators have accepted our invitation to serve the Christian Brothers community
I look forward to seeing you soon, whether it be in the morning drop-off loop, at a game or arts performance or at the LPA or DEIB meeting, or at the Extravaganza I look forward to connecting artner with you on this Lasallian educational journey!

Monitor these early weeks of school and make certain your son or daughter attends to the following tasks:
Juniors and seniors should consider scheduling visits to the colleges they haven’t seen at this point They are each allowed two excused days to visit colleges but must complete the proper paperwork in advance Seniors will soon be refining their list of “target”, “reach” and “likely” colleges and initiating the application process. Make sure your student listens to and reads the daily announcements, watches KBFT, and checks Schoology in order to hear about all events including college evenings presented by specific colleges/universities and dates and times for our college application workshops. Remind them to sign up on Scoir for any of the many college rep visits that will be held on our campus.
