All it took was a simple Facebook message to spark a connection for Brianna and Raimondo. “I was Ray’s cousin’s hairstylist at the time. She tried getting us to meet twice, but it just never worked out,” Brianna reminisced. After days of chatting online, they exchanged phone numbers and planned their first date at Starbucks on September 20, 2019. From that moment, Brianna knew she had found the one.
Fast forward to a seemingly ordinary day at a local park. Ray, known for his knack for car shopping, told Brianna they were there to check out a car for a friend’s sister. She didn’t think much of it, especially when Ray suggested they take a walk while waiting. But as they approached the gazebo, everything changed. Ray pulled Brianna close, whispered, “I love you,” and then dropped to one knee to propose with a 2-carat, double halo oval engagement ring adorned with diamonds on the band.
After Brianna’s older sister got married at the Windsor Ballroom, it was a no-brainer for the duo to follow in her footsteps, knowing the food would impress their Italian guests. Their vision for the day was light, airy, and romantic, with a touch of boho charm brought to life by a color palette of dusty rose, terracotta, eucalyptus, and gold accents.
Brianna and Ray exchanged vows in the courtyard, with the ceremony officiated by Ray’s cousin, who added just the right amount of humor and sentiment. The bride wore a strapless lace gown by Maggie Sottero, featuring a plunging sweetheart neckline and a fit-and-flare silhouette with a cathedral train. She completed her wedding day look with simple jewelry, a beaded veil, a crystal headpiece, and Badgley Mischa shoes. The groom sported a classic black Vera Wang tuxedo, while the groomsmen wore bow ties that coordinated to the bridesmaid’s mismatched Azazie dresses.
Following the wedding, the newlyweds embarked on a Caribbean cruise that sailed to the Bahamas, Saint Thomas, and Saint Maarten. Before setting sail, they also spent time at Walt Disney World, making their honeymoon even more magical.

When the time came to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted a venue that felt intimate and personal— something reflective of their shared love for being on the water while honoring their heritage. Joe and Joconda fell in love with the cozy atmosphere and incredible views of the Sundancer Cornucopia Cruise Line. It was during a dinner cruise on the Cornucopia that they met Lorri Pina, the Catering Manager, whose attention to detail and willingness to help customize their experience sealed the deal. “Lorri understood our vision and made it clear she would help us create something truly special.” Plus, the cruise’s deep connection to their family history made it even more meaningful. As the night ended, guests stepped off the boat and were greeted by a gelato cart serving traditional Italian favorites likes Pistachio, Nutella, hazelnut and frutti di bosco, along with Lucuma–a fruit from Peru, honoring Joconda’s heritage.
