MARKET REPORT Brevard Beachside Market Is Strong The strongest Island market along the Space and Treasure Coast, Brevard Beachside outpaced other local markets both in increase in average price and decline in inventory, reports Coldwell Banker Paradise.

The combination of new home buyers, job relocators and buyers coming from Central Florida and the southern Miami-Dade market, has left inventory levels declining in the double digits. With inventory levels tightening moderate price increases are likely to continue.

The Brevard Mainland housing market is one of the strongest markets along the Space and Treasure Coast. Double digit price increases continue to shrink the dwindling supply of starter homes under $250,000. Brevard outpaced other local markets both in increase in average price and decline in inventory, reports Coldwell Banker Paradise. Sales of single family homes were brisk under $250,000 with prices increasing 15% in single family homes and nearly 20% in condos. However a lack of inventory drove down the total number of homes sold in that price range. Inventory levels continued downward with under a 2 month supply. Buyers looking for that starter home need to act now. Over $250,000, the number of units sold increased from the first quarter of last year, the months of inventory inched downward and prices increased only slightly. The combination of new home buyers, job relocators and buyers coming from Central Florida and the southern Miami-Dade market, has left inventory levels declining in the double digits. With inventory levels tightening moderate price increases are likely to continue in the over $250,000 markets.
