2014 Brevard Island Year End Real Estate Report Whether you’re thinking about buying a home, selling your home, or you’re just curious about your home’s value, it’s important to know about trends in the real estate market that could impact your home’s value and your financial security. Unfortunately, information about price appreciation and sales activity that is published by traditional media forums is very general and may not be consistent with what’s happening in your neighborhood or price point. Information contained in this report is designed to give you greater insight into trends that are occurring in your neighborhood, by price point. In general, real estate activity on the island remained strong in 2014. For example, Single-family home sales were up and inventory was down for properties sold under $1 million. Condominium sales also posted solid gains, with inventory dropping. It’s interesting to note the average price changes were mixed, depending on the price point. With inventory levels below 6 months for properties listed for under $500,000, prices should increase for both single-family and condominium sales in 2015. Higher priced properties could experience minimal price appreciation because inventory levels have remained stubbornly high. Call us today for information about your home’s value.
