What’s New in Canberra

WHAT’S NEW IN THE CAPITAL?

There’s always something new to discover in Canberra, from ways to conveniently get around, ways to wow delegates, and new ways to look at history.

EXPLORE A NEW EVENT EXPERIENCE AT THE MARION AT REGATTA POINT

Nestled in a stunning lakeside setting at Regatta Point, The Marion is Canberra’s new high-end function space, launching in 2022. The luxurious venue is named after Marion Mahoney Griffin, the sometimes-forgotten visionary behind the design of Canberra’s skyline. Here you’ll find a meticulously designed interior, breathtaking lakeside alfresco spaces, and bespoke catering packages.

DISCOVER A NEW WAY TO LOOK AT HISTORY

Take a tour through the National Triangle and unearth Australia’s hidden history on the new She Shapes History tours. While women’s contributions are not always immediately visible in the history books, your guide will walk you through the story of the nation from the perspective of Australian women. Hear stories of friendship, survival, creativity, rebellion, and love.

ELEVATED MEETINGS, FUNCTIONS, AND CONFERENCING

The brand new Two24 Conferencing by Work Club has brought a new level of gathering places to Canberra for business leaders and changemakers. The meeting, conference and function venue is conveniently located in the heart of the city. With artfully appointed spaces fitted out with unique designer pieces, Two24 Conferencing by Work Club offers state-of-the-art conferencing technology for both in-person and hybrid meetings, while light-filled spaces provide an ideal setting for corporate entertaining, with premium concierge and catering options.

MAKE THE MOST OF EASIER CONNECTIONS

Canberra already boasts easy connections and low travel times, and faster connections between venues or meetings are now even easier thanks to Canberra’s network of shared e-scooters. More than 1,500 e-scooters are available to hire across central Canberra and the Belconnen Town Centre, and the ACT Government plans to expand this to all the major town centres in 2022, including Gungahlin, Woden, Tuggeranong, and Molonglo, as well as e-scooter connection options between the centres.

ENJOY NEW WAYS TO DINE

Never judge a restaurant by the number of seats. Tucked underneath A by Adina in the buzzing new Constitution Place precinct, Mu Omakase by Canberra’s award-winning Chairman Group offers an elevated yet intimate dining experience for just 12 people. Sit side-by-side with your fellow diners as you enjoy 12-20 courses, carefully selected by the chef based on the bestin-market that day, and served to you by the chefs themselves.
