The program provides the student with a broad-based education in installing, operating, troubleshooting and repairing, commercial, mechanical, electrical, fluid-power, electronic, robotic and integrated manufacturing systems.

Beginner’s Pencil Drawing

Dive into autumn and learn a new skill. Develop your ability to draw in this guided class. Instructor Betsy Bangley will lead you through a series of activities designed to help you learn how to capture the world around you with a pencil on paper. Start by playing with art materials to find out how to make a variety of marks, lines, and shading types, move on to sketching everyday objects, and build up to exploring perspective and textures. Painting with Acrylics

This course is suitable for all levels of ability. It will cover the techniques and philosophy that are fundamental for creating a painting with acrylics. Preparation, composition, color theory, perspective, and individual style will be addressed. Along with several practice paintings, participants will select an image of their choice for a final painting. Students must bring acrylic paints and brushes. One 11 x 14 canvas will be provided. T-shirt Quilts

This class is a hands-on class that outlines the preparations needed to make a T-shirt Quilt. You will use and master Rotary Cutters, Rulers, pressing techniques, interfacing, and utilization of sewing machine and serger methods. You will be able to bring your machine, or you can use one provided at the Sewing Original Stitches classroom location in Midland, PA. **Students must bring T-shirts and Interfacing**

(Interfacing is a material that’s placed between layers of fabric to add structure, support, or stiffness to specific areas of a garment or project. It is often fused to the fabric using heat, a process known as fusing, to ensure it stays in place.)
