Nisho is an activist, and a teacher in her spare time. She sees the children as hope for the future in a chaotic world, and hopes to guide them towards a more peaceful existence The design places emphasis on freedom of motion through distinct pathways. The overhang represents the embracing arms of a guardian, mentor or parental figure, guiding and nurturing the youth through development until they are ready for the next phase in their lives. The various levels hints at the diverse aspects of life, and the physical exploration of these levels implies that in order to experience these aspects, one must leave their comfort zone. Overhang serves as “embracing arms” which nurture, guide and protect while allowing spatial and idealogical freedom.
