Senior Living Environments The senior living environments designed by CDH Partners offer choices that provide accessibility, independence, and a better quality of life for this growing population. Our facilities address a full range of solutions—from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing care, memory support, rehabilitation services, and hospice care. Each of these spaces are designed to be welcoming and highly functional for today’s maturing adults. Our professional services will assist you in meeting the most current life safety requirements for your facility. It is our desire to design environments that help our client’s dreams become reality. This is our passion and this is our goal.
Quality of Living We utilize an integrated collaborative approach. This means our team works together with your team to provide strategic design, planning, and cost effective solutions. We integrate materials and systems that promote a better quality of life for the residents, who live in the communities we design. We plan our senior living environments with sustainable principles in mind. This means the buildings and the campuses we design are specifically planned to preserve our environment by employing strategies that have a positive impact on our environment. This optimizes the potential of the sites while minimizing energy consumption and enhancing indoor environments. The result is an optimal balance of cost along with greater environmental and social benefits.
Continuous Care Environments Our design solutions reflect the latest technology and residential preferences. We create spaces for senior adults who are still active, as well as, for those who require a greater level of skilled nursing care within a service-enriched setting. Many of the communities we design also include memory care units. Gathering spaces, therapy rooms, and dining areas are located within a shorter walking distance of resident areas. Interiors and many of the furnishings are memory-cued to help residents remember their location and maintain a greater degree of self-sufficiency. Our approach to design includes resident safety, along with a greater degree of care and activity. Floor textures and wall colors are specifically chosen to promote wayfinding while creating a warm residential environment that feels like home. Our team also seeks opportunities to take full advantage of the surrounding environment and natural lighting. One way this is done is by bringing the outside inside. Large windows allow natural light to fill our facilities. We also integrate natural surfaces and resources for environmentally rich spaces. This approach has been proven to improve the lives of residents and also the lives of those who work in a CDH designed facility.
Hospice Care Environments Our hospice facilities offer the comforts of an inviting residential community within a highly sensitive environment. We design these spaces to include areas where families can be together. Some of our facilities include gardens, small chapels, and libraries that are places of respite for families. Residential and hospitality features help to filter the necessary equipment panels, which add warmth and home-like atmosphere to our hospice care spaces. Thought is given to every aspect of patient care—from arrival, to daily care, to the needs of families. Patient rooms are detailed with furnishings that create comfort and peace.
Architecture
Engineering
Before we begin a project we sit down and listen to your team describe the needs you have for your project. There are no preconceived ideas of what your new facility should look like. Each new project represents an opportunity for us to explore a multitude of exciting possibilities and to create environments that offer residents choice, accessibility, independence, dignity, and a higher level of care that leads to a better quality of life.
Our architects, engineers, and designers work as an integrated team. They talk to one another about your project on every level. We believe that open lines of communication offer greater coordination of the entire process including design, drawings, and the specifications. As in other areas, we incorporate a holistic approach in our engineering designs.
As a matter of stewardship, we employ sustainable design strategies for the long-term investment our clients make toward high performance buildings. At CDH, we also understand the importance our designs have on those who use them and the communities where they are located. This is why we strive for excellence and push beyond the standard design status quo.
Our CDH team reviews each project as we coordinate the levels of systems and finishes. We balance the scope, the budget, and the schedule of your project. Our multidisciplinary approach to building design is shaped by the client’s needs and financial goals. We have a proven record of success in this area, and we are committed to doing quality projects that are completed on time and on budget.
We also consider the impact our facilities have on the surrounding communities. Our goal is to create spaces that positively impact the lives of those who use our facilities and those who live near them.
Interiors
Planning
Interior design is essential to the design process, and our design team is committed to bringing life and breath to your project. Along the way, we provide unique holistic detailing that increases the sustainability of your structure. This includes space adjustment, surface materials, and lighting—where fixtures reflect the atmosphere, use of the room, or to help promote a sense of residential well being.
We help our clients evaluate the current use of their site and space. Our professionals conduct thorough interviews with your key leaders and stakeholders. We consider the demographics, site related information, future programming needs and other issues, before making our recommendations on how to optimize the use of available land or buildings.
At CDH, we also take a collaborative approach to designing interior spaces. We push beyond aesthetics to create comfortable and healthy environments. We are intentional in our design and in using sustainable design philosophies. When it is sensible, we use recycled and reclaimed materials, or materials derived from resources that are rapidly renewable.
It is our keen examination and straightforward planning strategy that enables us to do the very best job of addressing your present and future needs. Whether it is the construction of a new facility or re-purposing your existing facility, our goal is to solve the problems you are facing by bringing creative insight into the design process.
CDH has served the assisted living community for over 22 years. We are the longest continuous industry member in attendance at the annual meeting of the Georgia Assisted Living Federation of American (ALFA). Since our inception, we have partnered as a guide to our clients throughout the building process.
