A. My name is Nikki Burnett also known as Nikki B. I’m a Wife, BasketballMom & entrepreneur. I’m a real estate specialist with 20 years of experience in Real Estate Sales, Construction & Investments. I’m the CEO of Modern Luxury Real Estate, an investment firm specializing in vacation rentals found on Airbnb & VRBO. I’m also the mom and manager of NBA prospect Nimari Burnett who is a McDonald’s All American, Gold Medalist & University of Alabama basketball player.
Q. Who or what motivated you to be the woman you are today?
A. My determination to be self-sufficient, successful & independent constantly motivates me to be the woman I am today.
Q. How has the experience been being a BasketballMom?
A. The experience of being a BasketballMom has been very rewarding over the years. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to just about every city in the United States as well as Asia to support and cheer my son on. I launched a clothing company, BasketballMom back in 2011 & later got picked up for a TV show on the Lifetime network in 2017…all in the name of being a BasketballMom.
Q. How do you define your purpose in life?
A. My purpose in life is to be the best mother & businesswoman I can be. To nurture my son to become the best basketball player, businessman & philanthropist.
Q. Was there a time in your career you felt like you wanted to give up?
A. Yes, there have been times when I wanted to give up on real estate. I was burned out of being a realtor & showing multiples houses to buyers that didn’t know what they really wanted.
Q. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A. The best advice I’ve ever received is to not rush things. Things will present themselves when the timing is right. The second-best piece of advice I’ve received is to only pursue the things that you are passionate about.
Q. Tell us some goals you are working on accomplishing for 2022?
A. In 2022 my list of goals is: To pass my Nevada real estate test… Start my E-commerce business… Write my first Airbnb book & film my course that will teach others how to get into the short-term rental business.
Q. How would you describe your future in three words?
A. In three words I would explain my future as: Successful, Millionaire & Well-Traveled
Q. Are you working on any new events or projects?
A. I’m speaking at a few events this year and working on several real estate projects in Nashville, Scottsdale, Houston & Dallas Texas.
