Q. It is a pleasure to interview with you. Tell everyone who you are and what you do?

A. I’m Malik Wilson, a Television Personality from Mebane, North Carolina. I graduated from North Carolina A&T State University (The GREATEST HBCU on Earth) with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. While at NCAT, I played football and won a few national championships. Upon graduation, I played a short tenure of professional football before becoming an on-air personality, which I love and enjoy deeply!

Q. What motivated you to be a TV host/ Journalist?

A. As a kid I was always into being the center of attention, in a positive way of course, but I enjoyed making people laugh, sharing factual information, and sharing my outgoing personality, so, being on TV was just a way I could do all of that, plus so much more. I also enjoy using my platform to be a voice for so many who feel they don’t have a voice or simply want to be heard.

Q. Tell us about this new App Clubhouse and what your experience been like on this app?

A. LOL. Clubhouse.. Clubhouse is a really great APP if you use it correctly. Great for networking and sharing and learning important knowledge from professionals in their respective fields that you probably couldn’t receive elsewhere. It’s raw, unedited conversations that are priceless. Me and Cece actually met through my first-time using Clubhouse. We were on that APP for maybe 10+ hours, but we’ve grown to become great cyber friends. I’ve since created a Club called International Media Family, which Cece is a part of, and we basically give anyone in media whether on tv, radio, podcast, etc. a safe place to learn and even talk everyday life outside of the usual hustle and bustle that we ALL go through.

Q. What are your goals for 2021?

A. My goals for 2021, first and foremost, is to continue building my spiritual relationship with God, but also to continue elevating in my career, find a new contract as a TV Host, and also devote more time and resources to helping those around me to succeed.

Q. We talked about this on the new app clubhouse. What has been the most embarrassing moment you have had in your field of work?

A. Most embarrassing moment? I have a ton, lol I think that comes with the business of live TV, right? But, to keep it brief I’d say ONE OF my most embarrassing moments would be when I got to my live shot 5-minutes before I hit live… and let’s just say I wasn’t prepared on the topic and literally froze when my producer said “you’re on air, talk.” because I didn’t know what to say and I was unprepared.. lol, but that was when I first got in the business last year… My ad-libing has since improved and I can talk on almost anything in a second notice all thanks to that day!

Q. Let’s talk about your podcast “The Hot Seat” and the motivation behind it?

A. The HOT Seat Podcast features celebrity and public figure interviews with me co-hosting with my former NCAT football teammate, Justin Cates. Every guest visiting the world’s most ENTERTAINING Podcast is grilled with their signature blend of honesty and humor. The results are the best interviews to be found on the internet. He recently picked up a contract with the CFL so he’s been a little busy transitioning from the media world back to the sports world so we’ve been a little slack doing interviews, but we’ll be back stronger than ever when the time is right. In the meantime, I’ve started a new YouTube series called “Who’s That Guest?” which basically is a spinoff of The HOT Seat Podcast only I am the host. But you guys can check it out on my Instagram @ Malikwilsontv AND from there slide over to YouTube and subscribe for the best interviews by me!

Q. You also was an Athlete. Tell us how you got started and why you no longer play?

A. Yep, I was kind of influenced to play football. I began playing later than most. But I was a sophomore in high school when I first picked up a football and even got a starting position on the varsity team. Simply put, from there I went on to be pretty good, picking up a scholarship from North Carolina A&T State University (The GREATEST HBCU ON Earth) which is a division-1 program. From there, I went on to play in the Canadian Football League where I ultimately got hurt and decided I wanted to pursue my career in the TV world.

Q. Tell us who has been your biggest supporter in life?

A. My family, friends, and fraternity brother!

Q. What is an invention that does not get a lot of love but has greatly improved the world?

A. Plastic silverware, plates, and cups! A guy like me is always on the go and I don’t have time to be washing dishes 24/7 and I REFUSE TO watch dishes pile up in the sink.
