2nd TEAM ALL COUNTY GIRLS SOCCER

Coach’s Note: Speedy outside winger. She was a defensive player in other formations and was eager to understand her role as the season progressed. She became an offensive threat as she scored 3 goals and had 2 assists. Her Harford tech goal demonstrated how dangerous she was for us

Coach’s Note: Bri finished the season with 6 goals and 5 assists, while missing 3 games with a knee injury. She has breakaway speed up top and regularly draws defenders to her, which opens up the rest of the team. She cleans up a lot of our attack by being in the right place at the right time and does a superb job at being our first defender when the opponent is trying to bring the ball out of the back.

Coach’s Note: The best communicator on our team, constantly talking and moving off the ball. Has a very high soccer IQ. Sophomore starter for the second year, she was the second leading goal scorer on our team finishing with 7 goals and 2 assists.

Team Captain’s Note: Maddie was a great teammate and addition to the team this year, coming in as a freshman with skill, speed, and great energy. She is a fast, versatile player who gives constant effort which allowed for her to score 6 goals this season along with an assist, including a game winner in double overtime against Havre De Grace . She played a major role in our offense while contributing on defense as well. Will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in her next 3 seasons!

Coach’s Note: Eli is a three-year varsity starter at midfield. Technical player who controlled the middle of the field for Elkton. Team leader that works tirelessly the entire game defensively and transitioning the offense. Eli tallied two goals and five assists on the year. Eli played in all 11 games for Elkton this year.

Coach’s Note: I have been lucky to coach Kamryn since she was 8 years old and as a coach you couldn’t ask for a better player. Her joy for the game and energy she brings to every session is infectious to the entire team. Her vision on the pitch and game awareness makes everyone around her better. Perryville High School, and myself, are lucky to have a player with not only Kam’s talent but also the joy she brings to everyone around her.

Coach’s Note: Senior captain who has started with us since freshman year. An overall solid player who is very consistent. She is the unsung hero of midfield. She finished the year with 4 goals and 2 assists.

Coach’s Note: She was a midfield this year with the formation we played. She was dominant in gaining possession and then transitioning it into offence. She managed 18 shots with 1 goal and 4 assists. Earning her a 2 nd Team Susquehanna Division selection.

Coach’s Note: The heart and soul of our back line. The best communicator in the back who consistently helps the back line keep their shape, shift, step, drop, etc. She has had a wonderful season, really stepping up as a leader this year. Consistently makes great tackles and good passes under pressure.

Coach’s Note: Sarah finished the season with 1 goal and 2 assists as our center defender. She makes good decisions on when to step to win the ball or when to drop to stop a break. She is great at winning balls in the air and can handle physical play. She organizes our back line well.

Coach’s Note: Julia only played 7 games this season before tearing her ACL. She was a notable loss to our team as a center defender. She is a smart player who transitioned from midfield to center back this year to fill a void. She wins 50/50 balls and is the one we call upon when we need to mark the opponent’s best players. She is our leader on and off the field and continued that leadership when stuck on the sideline.

Coach’s Note:

Leeann is a three- year varsity starting keeper. Tallied 2 goals as a field player and an impressive 106 saves on the season in the net. Posted two shutouts. Commands the box with her speed and aggressiveness. Shows versatility by playing in the field. Possesses strong work ethic and leads by example. An exceptional all around athlete that is irreplaceable in the net. Leeann played in all 11 games for Elkton this year.
