Dear Friends and Fellow Golfers,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Tee Up for the Champions of Tomorrow – a fundraising event for the upcoming World Amateur Team Championships (WATC) held from 1-11 October 2025 at Tanah Merah Country Club, Tampines Course.

The WATC is the pinnacle of amateur team golf – often regarded as the “Olympics of Amateur Golf.” It has served as a springboard for many of the world’s greatest players, including Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Lydia Ko, and Annika Sörenstam – all of whom represented their nations at this prestigious event before rising to global prominence.

The Singapore Golf Association (SGA) is proud to join the ranks of past host associations by welcoming the best amateur golfers from 36 top golfing countries. This is a golden opportunity to showcase Singapore’s hospitality, infrastructure, and passion for the game, while providing our own golfers with a world-class platform to compete at home.

SGA is working closely with the host venue Tanah Merah Country Club, as well as Sport Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board, to deliver an event that meets the highest standards of excellence. Our collective goal is not just to host a championship, but to create a legacy – one that inspires future generations and elevates the profile of Singapore golf internationally.

WORLD AMATEUR TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS (WATC) 2025

The Pinnacle of Amateur Golf Comes to Singapore

The World Amateur Team Championships (WATC) is the most prestigious and anticipated amateur golf tournament in the world. Conducted by the International Golf Federation (IGF), the WATC brings together the best amateur golfers from 36 countries, representing the future stars of the sport.

In 2025, Singapore will proudly host the WATC for the first time in its history. Held at the renowned Tanah Merah Country Club, Tampines Course, the event will feature two championships:

Espírito Santo Trophy (Women’s Championship): 1–4 October 2025

Eisenhower Trophy (Men’s Championship): 8–11 October 2025

As the host nation, Singapore is honoured to welcome the global golfing community to our shores. The WATC 2025 promises to be a landmark sporting occasion one that celebrates excellence, sportsmanship, and international camaraderie.
