Finish Enhancements, A-La-Carte Package and Distressing Options Available in Premier Series Distressing Options Available in Centra Series
Finish Enhancements
Spattering (fly-specking): Random distribution of small, pigmented “specks” on the finish surface, which is sealed with our catalyzed sealer and topcoat.
Cow Tailing:
Subtle, straight and curved streaking available in four optional contrasting colors and randomly applied to finished areas of the cabinet.
Waterspots: Available only on stain finishes, this finish enhancement utilizes “stain droplets” instead of Spattering materials to produce a more subtle effect than Spattering.
Dry Brush Edges:
Available for stain finishes and those solid colors that have our Glaze Choice or Glacier Elect options. Dry brushed glaze highlighting is applied to produce a broader glaze effect on doors, drawer fronts, and profiled mouldings.
A la carte Distressing and Finish Enhancements on Premier Series
On Mouser Premier Series cabinets, a designer or customer may create a unique appearance with a mixture of aging characteristics selected from the A la carte Distressing offering of 17 individual techniques. These distressing techniques are hand-crafted by Mouser artisans and authentically replicate the aging characteristics of wood. For the ultimate in customization, most of these A la carte Distressing techniques are available in “Light, Normal and Heavy” intensity levels. Additionally, Mouser’s four finish enhancements, Waterspots, Dry Brush Edges, Spattering and Cow Tailing, may be selected individually or in any combination to create the desired style and overall appearance of the cabinetry. They may even be used in conjunction with the A la carte Distressing options to produce that one-of-a-kind design.
Distressing Options
Cobblestone Distressing: A subtle distressing option utilizing sanded corner wear and rock distressing to make cabinetry appear slightly aged and well worn.
Rustic Distressing: A distressing technique to make cabinetry look as if it has withstood the elements of time.
Heirloom Distressing: Combines physical distressing techniques to give cabinetry the look of precious, aged heirlooms.
Weathered Distressing: Our most aggressive distressing package simulates wood reaction to many years of wear and tear and exposure to the elements.
Premier Overlay / Inset Constructions are Ply-Core Plywood Veneer Interior and Ply-Core Plywood MapleLam Interior
The Premier Series offers two construction methods of framed cabinetry: Ply-Core Plywood Veneer Interior and Ply-Core Plywood MapleLam Interior. Both types of construction are available in Cherry, Maple, Painted Maple, Select Alder, Knotty Alder, Hickory, Walnut, Quarter Sawn White Oak, and Red Oak.
• Face Frames – 3/4” solid wood with dowelled or blind mortise and tenon joinery • Cabinet Construction – Ply-Core plywood with veneer interior or Ply-Core plywood with
MapleLam interior, a simulated Maple wood grain laminate • Adjustable Shelves – 3/4” Ply-Core plywood in wood veneer or MapleLam laminate • Dovetail Drawers with a Lifetime Warranty – constructed of 5/8” thick solid Beech sides, front and back with a 1/4” thick veneered MDF core bottom – 1/2” heavy-duty bottom is optional – Maple and Walnut dovetail drawers are optional • Drawer Slides – Blum, full-extension soft-close drawer slides with a load capacity of 100 lbs. static / 90 lbs. dynamic are standard on drawers and are covered by a Lifetime Warranty • Door Hinges – concealed, 6-way adjustable soft-close hinges are standard on overlay cabinets – barrel hinges or concealed, soft-close hinges are available on inset cabinets • Cabinet Ends – all finished cabinet ends are constructed as 3/4” flush finished ends with lock miter joinery at no additional charge • Door / Drawer Styles – doors and drawer fronts have been engineered in solid wood –
MDF+Plus center panels, doors and drawer fronts are optional for solid color finishes – optional edge profiles and panel shapes are available • Finish Palette – a wide range of popular wood stains, solid colors, wood stains and solid colors with glazes, and striated solid colors are offered – custom stains and custom solid colors are available
Framed Construction Features
Dovetailed Drawers - Mouser offers a beautifully crafted dovetailed drawer with 5/8” solid wood sides and a fully captured bottom. The drawer box is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Face Frames - All Mouser framed cabinets have solid wood face frames with dowelled joinery or blind mortise and tenon.
Drawer and Slide Options
Dovetail drawer boxes are 5/8” solid wood sides, back and front, mounted on Tandem Blumotion Soft Close Full-Extension Concealed drawer slides with a 100 lb. static/90 lb dynamic load capacity. Drawer bottoms are 1/4” plywood, fully captured with optional 1/2” bottom available. Dovetail drawers are standard on both the Plywood MapleLam Interior and Plywood Veneer Interior constructions. Additional slide systems include the Heavy Duty Blum Softclose Tandem slide with a 150 lb. static/135 lb dynamic load capacity and the Fulterer full-extension 100 lb. or 200 lb. ball bearing slide systems. All drawers and drawer slides provided on Mouser Cabinetry are covered under a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Door Construction - Mouser produces doors using the mortise/tenon joint (shown above) and the blind mortise and tenon miter joint assembly methods.
Lock Miter Joinery
Lock Miter joinery is a construction feature on all Mouser Cabinetry. This unique joinery eliminates visible seams on the cabinetry and is standard on everything from flush finished ends and integral wainscot panels to door end cabinets and wood hoods. Mouser’s Lock Miter joinery is craftsmanship at its finest.

Laminate Option: 1/4” laminate interior back on MDF material in place of the standard 1/4” core plywood back. H. Standard, four-sided drawer box has 5/8” solid Beech dovetailed sides, a fully captured 1/4” MDF core plywood bottom (optional 1/2” bottom available) and Tandem

Laminate Door Style Cabinets:
Color coordinated PVC edge banding on the face of the cabinet case to blend with the laminate door and drawer front selected. Option: Finished interior available on cabinet interiors and bottom exterior of Wall Cabinets when ordered with Frame & Lattice Doors. Cabinets without door; receive matching wood veneer edge-banding on the cabinet face to match the cabinet interior.
