LIFT BEAM

Your scanner in case of fire The new LIFT Beam The infrared optical beam fire detector ensures active early fire detection in lift shafts. The system includes an infrared transmitter and receiver in one device: A clearly marked beam is guided to a reflecting prism, which reflects the beam onto the receiver for analysis. An alarm will be triggered if the beam comes into contact with smoke. The LIFT Beam, specifically developed and tested for use in the lift shaft, is CE-certified in accordance with EN 54-12.

An additional module that packs a punch: As a supplement to the new BK-AIO central unit, it is the complete intelligence in the smallest design. The LST Lift-Status-Transmitter recognises the presence of passengers in the lift car and regulates the air quality in the lift shaft and, therefore, the car as well. Ventilation mode and duration can be adapted to the requirements of the building’s users at any time.

An integrated temperature sensor measures the ambient temperature exactly where the measurement is the most important: Directly in the car and not at a random point somewhere in the shaft. The air quality sensor is integrated in the LST from where it transmits the information about the hygienic air demand wireless via radio transmitter to he receiving unit. The transmitter features a built-in acceleration sensor. This enables it to determine the movement of the lift and transmit this information to the receiving unit. A lift breakdown is determined intelligently via an innovative sensor system. The module can be supplied with the 230 V AC supply voltage located on the car roof via an integrated separate fuse. A lithium battery is available as an alternative which serves as an autonomously functioning voltage source for approx. 3 years.

By monitoring the lift use, the LST automatically determines changes in the use of the building and automatically adjusts the ventilation to the need. It is a closed unit that communicates with the BK-AIO central unit or with the remote LSR radio receiver using a wireless LST radio transmitter. If no information about the status (e.g. breakdown, travel, stop) of the lift is available via isolated contacts, this module initiates a demand-optimised ventilation of the lift shaft. Features: • Ventilation times and other functions are set via small switches without requiring a tool. • LEDs inform about the status of the transmitter as needed. • For quick installation and commissioning, the transmitter also features only plug-in connections. This enables BlueKit速 solutions for the lift shaft smoke extraction to perfectly adapt to the respective conditions and individual requests. If you should ever lack something, simply contact us!

Automatic fire detection : smoke extraction system or optical smoke detector In addition to the new LIFT Beam, we naturally continue to offer our MICRO-SENS速 smoke extraction system: the alternative fire detection with the proven detector module. The smoke extraction system is complemented by the matching intake pipe set. The optical smoke detector is primarily used for monitoring the machine room and the main evacuation level and, as such, supplements the fire detection elements for the lift shaft in a meaningful way.

As an addition to the permanent monitoring of the lift shaft by the smoke extraction system, it must be possible to trigger an alarm on the main evacuation level by a smoke vent button and initiate the smoke extraction. In accordance with the current requirement of the Model Building Code (MBO - 2013), it must be possible to operate a lift shaft smoke extraction from at least one suitable location.

Alarm notifications: flashing lights, alarm sirens or fire bells Whether acoustic or visual signals: We manage an extensive program of different signal emitters.

Sensor system: timers, control keys, weather sensors Additionally, we manage a large selection of different buttons and key switches for manual ventilation requirements, but also automatic intelligent sensor systems, such as external temperature sensors and timers. As an option, the ventilation function can also be supplemented with the use of rain or wind sensors and a wind direction-dependent controller.


CLOSURE FLAPS

BlueKit® Stopping heat losses effectively using BK-Factory closure flaps Closure flaps prevent the uncontrolled escape of heat and energy through permanent openings. The installed flaps ensure effective ventilation regulation as well as safe smoke extraction if necessary. This requires that the functionality of the system will also be ensured under inclement weather conditions (storm, rain, snow or extreme temperatures). DIN EN 12101-2 / Specification for natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators, is available as testing basis. The dimensions of the smoke exhaust vents are regulated by the individual state building codes and the requirements of the lift standards. The location of the smoke exhaust vents must be selected so that the smoke exhaust is not affected by the influence of wind (MBO / LBO).

ZVEI / VDMA guideline

We offer a large variety of options for implementing the aforementioned requirements:

Roof cap for installation on the flat roof of buildings The element was developed specifically for the exhaust of combustion gases and for ventilation purposes. The roof cap meets the requirement of the «inclement weather ventilation“ as well as a safe smoke exit without being impacted by wind. A louvre window is integrated in the base as a closure element.

The roof cap is available in three sizes: • 0.10 m²: 450 x 450 mm • 0.20 m²: 600 x 600 mm • 0.39 m²: 800 x 800 mm

Louvre windows specifically for vertical installation in the side walls
