BEYOND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

CEMS AT A GLANCE

“CEMS students and alumni are responsible and ethical individuals with a natural curiosity about the world in which they live, giving them the basis from which to develop a sustainable global mind-set. The CEMS MIM develops that curiosity into a powerful cross-cultural understanding through studying, working and living in multiple international locations. This gives CEMS MIM graduates a high level of maturity to successfully adapt to the globalised workplace.” Roland Siegers CEMS Executive Director

CEMS is seeking students who are not only successful academically, but also display a high standard of ethical conduct, who are able to draw upon cultural diversity with respect and

empathy, and who show professional responsibility and accountability in relation to society as a whole. All these criteria are required to become successful international managers.

Selection criteria for the CEMS MIM programme include: / Enrollment in an M.Sc. programme at a CEMS member school / A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s-level education in Management, Economics or related fields / High intellectual potential / An international openness and interpersonal competence / An aspiration to succeed responsibly and ethically in an international business environment If you meet these criteria, you will be invited to a selection interview or assessment center with academic and corporate representatives. They will assess your skills, qualities and potential, not only to excel during the programme but also your ability to make a meaningful contribution to the working world after the programme.

THE CEMS MIM PREPARING RESPONSIBLE LEADERS CEMS is an association committed not just to producing future management talent but also responsible international business leaders, mindful of the social impact their work will have.

Eugenia Bieto CEMS Chair Director General of ESADE Business & Law School

“Our institutions must train leaders capable of embracing globalisation, understanding the social impact of business, cultivating the entrepre neurial spirit and fostering the creation of more sustainable business models. The CEMS Alliance is a clear example of all this – the best way to build a better future for all of us.”

Gregory Whitwell CEMS Deputy Chair Dean of The University of Sydney Business School

“Responsible business leaders critically examine the fundamental role and purpose of business. They see societal issues as business challenges and commit to resolving them. They are ever vigilant in questioning norms – not always to overturn them – but to see if there is not a more effective and more just way of doing things. This is the mindset we seek to encourage in CEMS graduates”

Sandra McManus, University Programs Team Google

“The large number of CEMS Alumni we have working at Google denotes a great link between our organisation’s set of core values and those of CEMS. We are delighted to be a long serving corporate partner of CEMS.”

Robin Hodess Group Director, Advocacy and Research

“The partnership with CEMS offers us the unique opportunity of engaging with an international student community of future business leaders. Creating awareness among CEMS students of corruption risks as they start their careers will equip a new generation of business leaders to confront and tackle corruption risk. The benefits for ethical and sustainable business will be many.”

Ben Henkes Global CEMS Lead & Consultant, A.T. Kearney

A.T. Kearney is grateful to get the opportunity of engaging with the CEMS community around the globe on multiple events and activities – particularly as a partner for CEMS business projects in several office locations. We are proud that this cooperation led to two “Business Project of the Year Awards” in a row (University of St. Gallen & A.T. Kearney Zurich).
