Will Flores Neumann University Junior - Left Field Kennett Square, PA/Kennett HS Flores has led the Neumann offense as the Knights are off to a 7-3 start. The junior is batting .333 (11-for-33) with a double, triple, and five RBIs. He also leads the Knights with 10 runs scored in the young season, and is a perfect 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts. In a Feb. 17 split doubleheader with Rutgers-Newark and St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn, Flores went 5-for-8, with three runs scored and a pair of RBI’s.
CSAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK Russ Gilliam - Neumann University So - Brick, NJ/Monsignor Donovan
Gilliam got off to a strong start for the 7-3 Knights, going 3-0 with a 1.48 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 18.2 innings. In Neumann’s season-opener against Rutgers-Camden on Feb. 17, Gilliam went 5.2 innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out 10 to earn the win. On Feb. 26 at Virginia Wesleyan, he threw a complete game (7 inn) five-hitter, allowing one unearned run and striking out nine to earn the win and become Neumann’s all-time career wins leader. On Mar. 4 against Haverford, he improved to 3-0, after throwing six innings and allowing two runs (one earned) while striking out five.

Rogers earned the win for the Giants’ in their 7-1 victory over Hampden-Sydney in the Ty Cobb Classic on February 18th. The junior started and worked five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and one walk, while striking out eight.
