Will Flores Neumann University Junior - Left Field Kennett Square, PA/Kennett HS Flores has led the Neumann offense as the Knights are off to a 7-3 start. The junior is batting .333 (11-for-33) with a double, triple, and five RBIs. He also leads the Knights with 10 runs scored in the young season, and is a perfect 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts. In a Feb. 17 split doubleheader with Rutgers-Newark and St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn, Flores went 5-for-8, with three runs scored and a pair of RBI’s.
CSAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK Russ Gilliam - Neumann University So - Brick, NJ/Monsignor Donovan
Gilliam got off to a strong start for the 7-3 Knights, going 3-0 with a 1.48 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 18.2 innings. In Neumann’s season-opener against Rutgers-Camden on Feb. 17, Gilliam went 5.2 innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out 10 to earn the win. On Feb. 26 at Virginia Wesleyan, he threw a complete game (7 inn) five-hitter, allowing one unearned run and striking out nine to earn the win and become Neumann’s all-time career wins leader. On Mar. 4 against Haverford, he improved to 3-0, after throwing six innings and allowing two runs (one earned) while striking out five.

HONOR ROLL Rob Rogers - Jr - RHP - Keystone College
Rogers earned the win for the Giants’ in their 7-1 victory over Hampden-Sydney in the Ty Cobb Classic on February 18th. The junior started and worked five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and one walk, while striking out eight.
AROUND THE LEAGUE Centenary Cyclones (3-3)
The Cyclones braved every weather condition in the past week from 60mph winds and snow to beautiful sun on their way to a 3-3 record over the past eight days... After falling two games to Penn St-Abington, the Cyclones swept Arcadia in a two-game set before splitting with St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn this past weekend to remain at the .500 mark... The Cyclone offense shined in its last game as they put up 13 runs in a seven-inning game against the Bears to take home a 13-2 victory with the help of three Cyclone home runs... This week, the Cyclones look to make up a game at New Jersey City University on Wednesday before heading down to Florida to take part in the Florida Coast Spring Training with six games scheduled.
Immaculata Mighty Macs (0-0)
Gwynedd-Mercy Griffins (1-3)
Gwynedd-Mercy opened its 2012 season on the road, falling to third-ranked Kean, 13-0, on Feb. 26... The Griffins spilt a pair or games in Florida on Saturday with regional foe Pitt-Greensburg, winning game one 16-6 and losing game two 14-4... On Sunday Gwynedd fell to St John Fisher 10-5 under the lights at Chain of Lakes Stadium... The Griffins continue their swing through Florida this week with five games in the Sunshine State.
Keystone Giants (1-1)
The Mighty Macs saw their season-opener with Lancaster Bible, scheduled for this past Saturday, rained out. Immaculata will begin the 2012 campaign on Tuesday, facing off against Guilford in Greensboro, NC.
The Giants started their 2012 season at the Ty Cobb Classic in Virginia. They opened play with a 7-4 loss vs. Southern Virginia on Feb. 17, before bouncing back the next day with a 7-1 victory over HampdenSydney... A third game vs. Stevenson was cancelled because of an impending snow storm... Pre-season First Team All-American Esteban Meletiche and Miquel Castano each picked up three hits in six at bats to pace the Giants. Meletiche also drew four base on balls in the two games.
Marywood Pacers (1-0)
Neumann Knights (7-3)
Senior Shane Miller hit two doubles and picked up three RBI and junior transfer Michael Ciavarella earned the win on the mound as Marywood University defeated NYU-Polytechnic 12-8 to open the Pacers' season on Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn. Mike Pinelli led the Pacers with three hits while Mike Diskin picked up two RBI as Marywood rallied from an 8-3 deficit to pick up the victory.
Philadelphia Biblical Crimson Eagles (0-0)
The Crimson Eagles’ season-opening doubleheader, scheduled for this past Saturday with Cazenovia, was rained out. Philadelphia Biblical will now open up the season this coming Saturday with a doubleheader vs. New England College in Laurel, MD.
Neumann has started the 2012 season 7-3... One highlight was defeating #3 Kean 4-3 in extra innings on Friday. Bobby Callan had the game-winning RBI... Russ Gilliam has been impressive on the mound, going 3-0 early on. He has a 1.48 ERA in 18.2 innings and 24 strikeouts. Gilliam also set the career record for wins, currently with 18... The Knights are in the middle of their annual spring break trip. They will face Cedarville College on Monday, the Coast Guard on Friday and wrapup the trip on Saturday with a doubleheader against Scranton.
