CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS 2015 South Dakota Special Education Conference

“Raising the Bar to Achieve Results for All!” Please consider presenting at the 2015 South Dakota Special Education Conference. This updated conference will feature state-of-the-art, innovative and creative best practices to promote college, career and life readiness for all students. This year all sessions will again be 75 minutes in duration. The conference will be held over the course of two days running from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. The planning committee has identified four topical areas which will be featured during the conference and encourages presentation proposals in these areas. Topical Areas • College & Career Readiness: Focusing in on transition planning, adult services, and employment. • 21st Century Learning: Using technology in the education setting to promote greater outcomes in all students. • Instructional Practices: Effective programs, strategies, and methodology that have proven successful in achieving results. • Positive Behavior Approaches: Addressing the school climate issues of challenging behavior, bullying, and behavior support plans. Registration Information • Presenters and co-presenters are required to register for the conference. - Presenters and co-presenters can attend one day of the conference for free or can attend the entire conference by paying a reduced rate. - Presenters whose proposals are accepted will be sent a presenter specific registration form. • Presenters and co-presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
