Running into the new year for Malik tylerPRESCOTT

On December 31, 2014, Malik Tipsword was tragically shot and murdered. After forcing entry into the apartment of Tipsword’s long term girlfriend, police in Pennsylvania arrested Jonathan Burke Berry and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting.

Spending a vast amount of his time volunteering for the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Tipsword was known by many. He was a Youth Minister at Cypress Meadows Church as well and spent many days their helping others connect with God. Beginning last year, Alexis Glasgow and her sister Arianna Tipsword decided to begin an annual 5K in honor of the early passing of their father that takes on the Ream Wilson Trail at Cliff Stephen’s Park.The run was started last year to raise money for the youth ranch that Malik had volunteered so much of his time at. “Our dad took us to Cliff Stephen’s Park all the time, we loved it. Having the run there provides that nostalgic feeling,” said Arianna Tipsword in regards to the location.

After the last donation had been made, almost $2,000 has been raised for the youth ranch. This year however, all funds raised will be going to Relay for Life, which Alexis has been a part of for four years now. A brief talk with Alexis Glasgow gave insight on her inspiration for the race.

“I was inspired to start a 5K for many reasons.

One of my dad’s favorite things was to give back to the community, so all of our proceeds will be going to Relay for Life. I was trying to think of the perfect way to commemorate him, and I feel have honored him in the best way I know how.”

Approximately seventy-five people showed up to the 5K on the morning of New Year’s Eve. Teacher’s from Countryside, Relay for Life participants, and family friends all came to support the girl’s on this day. Sam Licht, Randi Kiser, and Lia Dealvarez finished first for the swim team, followed by Anthony Postiglione with team Monopoly. A beaming $1,250 was raised and donated to Relay for Life from this event.

staff writers On January 21st, 2017 women and men came together to march for women’s equality.One million people took part in the historic Womans March on Washington and millions of other people took part in similiar marches across the globe.

Many famous people also got involved to join the protests. Celebrity performers included singers: Alicia Keys, Madonna and Janelle Monáe.

Speakers and activists spoke out such as Gloria Steinem, Angela Davis, America Ferrera and Ashley Judd.

A few members from the teaching and administration staff at Countryside high school participated in the local march in St. Petersburg.

“It’s important in this day in age to stand up for what you believe in. I also want to give my

daughter every opportunity to succeed,” said Ms. Barthel when asked why she participated in the march.

The marches took place on the first full day of Donald Trump as the official president of the United States. Although some people who joined the marches were protesting in opposition of the beliefs of Donald Trump, the overall theme was just love and support for all women. These marches were advocating for women’s rights everywhere.

“I’m an advocate for a lot of things. I was thinking about my daughters (ages 5 and 7) and students and for other people, as I was sounding my beliefs” said Mrs. Clausen.

Ms. Barthel, Ms. Clausen, and thousands of men, women, and children all over the world participated to share their voice for women’s equality.

Countrysides’ Say goodbye to candy sales library starts a new chapter alexHENRY

staff writer For the 2016-2017 school year, Countryside High School is gaining a revamped library along with a new librarian, Jody Amiot-Priso.

Amiot-Priso has been a school teacher for 20 years and has a masters degree in library sciences, but this is her first year being a librarian.

In her first year, Amiot-Priso plans on revamping the school’s library to make it more functionable and up to date.

In her first year of being a librarian, Amiot-Priso got $80,000 to make changes to the media center. The money came from the Pinellas County superintendent Ward Kennedy.

“We have coined this year the Rebuilding Year,” says Amiot-Priso. “With the money, we will be getting new books that have relevant information to the current times, new furniture, new flooring and new book shelves.”

Amiot-Priso plans to have a section for arts and mechanics where you can build and create robots along with other 3D art creations.

The whole idea of the new library is to create a new collaborative atmosphere for students and to make it a place where students can really utilize their resources. Once the final renovations to the library have been made, students will be able to bring food into a cafe area and eat.

A change that has already been put into motion is the free book section. There, students can browse for books they like and keep them.

The free books are there for students to grab if they see any they like and they get to take them home. While students can get free books, they can also donate new or gently used books too.

Selling candy in school is one of the ways organizations raise money for their causes. It also gives students the snacks they can not find in the school vending machines. The most common organization is Relay for Life. Students can often be caught with boxes full of candy bars and teachers with tables filled of snacks such as pastries, candy, and chips. The selling of the treats will come to an end on Febuary 1st.

“Regulations regarding competitive sales (fund raisers) during the school day dictate that schools must not sell foods or drinks that do not meet the minimum nutritional requirements set in place by the USDA,” coming from an email sent to teachers by Principal Gerald Schlereth. sxThe school and admonistration were trying to be as lenient as possible; this process stopped when the federal government got involved. The school was going against federal regulations and could get in serious trouble for straying away from these rules.

“As far as the issues the seller will lose money and there is nothing that can be done, when it comes down to it, it’s the law and we just have to follow the rules,” Mr. Zornes said.

Sadly, as of February 1st, the unauthorized goods will be missing from the school’s hallways and classroom.

“Service members are being kicked out of the military and striped of their medical benefits when what they really need is treatment for PTSD, TBI, or suicide attempt,” states Journalist Jeremy Campbell with Tegna media (based at WXIA Atlanta, Ga). Charlie Foxtrot was an issue affecting many people, and being voiced by very little.

“Charlie Foxtrot implies that it is not only disorganized, “ Campbell continues, “ there is also very little hope that whatever the objective is will be reached and there is a very high probability that everyone will regret their involvement later.”

In this case, we are talking about veterans and their less-than-honorable discharge.

This affects so many lives because of the fact that they were released due to “trauma related injuries like PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).” Reporter Jeremy Campbell claimed that, there are tens of thousands of veterans that have no access to VA medical services because of their discharge status.

Our service men and women are trained to fight people, but they are not actually trained on how to deal with such traumatic experiences, such as killing people and watching their friends die out Graphic by: on the battlefield.There Thomas Booth have been over 300,000 people who were kicked out of the military with a less-than-honorable discharge since 2001.

The military often associates PTSD and TBI with deliberate misconduct, and service members are kicked out because of them.

“These service members are effectively stripped of the honor they earned while fighting for our country,” claimed 9news.com.

Members released with a less than honorable discharge are twice as likely to attempt and or commit suicide. People aren’t often treated for their medical and mental issues caused by the war because, “How can you treat an injury that you can’t see,”claims a VA Psychologist Mike Martin. At basic training, most soldiers are taught to recognize the signs of PTSD, but the camps are more concerned about a soldier's physical and psychological training more than their mental capabilities of going and handling the weight of war.

Nicolas Jackson was apart of the U.S. army from 2004 to 2007. The military accused him of going AWOL (Absent Without Official Leave) when serving at Fort Carson, claiming he was searching for his wife. It turned out that she left Colorado without him.

His discharge was other than honorable because he went missing while serving in Colorado. He kept having headaches and passing out, as well as pain thrown on top, but he didn’t want to tell anyone about it. The V.A. claimed

to not have any record of him being a veteran, and when the hard copy papers were shown, they told him ‘my computer says it’s not.’ A V.A. psychologist claimed that if a veteran who has an other than honorable discharge, that they, by law, are not aloud to treat them. After five years and $15,000, Nicolas’ discharge was upgraded, but fewer than 10% of veterans succeed in finding evidence to upgrade their discharge status as Nicolas and his family had.

Imagine being constantly surrounded by bombs and dead bodies... and then going back to everyday life (video 1/5 9news.com 3:14).

“I had to take close up photos of every person that was torchered and killed,” claimed Kristofer Goldsmith (U.S. Army 2004-07).

Kristofer was a sergeant before his 21st birthday, claiming that he was really good at his job (photographing dead bodies in Iraq). He claimed that taking pictures of the dead bodies wasn’t the only thing that had led to the PTSD, but also things like getting shot at, and hearing the bullets get shot off vehicles next to him, and hearing explosions and not knowing if his friends were okay. He attempted to take his own life the night before his second deployment.

In one of Jeremy Campbell’s interviews, Kristofer claimed he was punished for attempting suicide and that, “they had threatened at one point to charge me with damaging government property, meaning myself, which is ridiculous.”

Kristofers discharge status was general in reason of a suicide attempt, and was told that he was not a veteran after serving.

His case is currently awaiting another appeal review.

This is important to many students going to serve because the same thing could happen to anyone of them.

According to Jeremy Campbell’s research, he claimed that, “28% of our troops come home with PTSD, TBI, or both, and the symptoms can be misunderstood.”

Any students who planning on enlisting after graduation, or in the future need to know everything that they are getting themselves into.

“If not resolved, high schoolers could be losing potential mentors to the shackles of PTSD or even suicide,” expressed Jeremy Campbell.

If this problem did not get solved, then many of our enlisting students would be facing more than they bargained for. But thankfully, it did.

Capitol Hill passed Fairness for Veterans about a month after the video documentary about the issue. A mom and two veterans went on an emotional adventure to get the Bill passed by telling their stories to a Congressional audience. After reaching out and sharing, the Bill reached Obamas desk to where he signed it, and made it official. Veterans will now be able to live without the weight of Charlie Foxtrot.

Teen’s public display of affection disturbs students alexHenry

The halls are always littered with students, but along the walls and lockers couples are showing an excessive amount of affection between every period and lunch. The students enjoying their personal space have been bothered by the display of too much affection.

“It’s gross, and people are always in the way of my locker,” said sophomore Sydney Avery.

“I try not to pay attention to it.” said sophomore Anthony Lamberto Some students aren’t as bothered with the excessive amount of public affection the others, even if they aren’t included in the act.

“It bother me whatsoever; sometimes I get this wild urge to just stare them down as they swallow each other; it makes me feel like I'm apart of the relationship,” said junior Franchesca Feliciano.

The couples that share a little too much, should just keep it to themselves. Outside the walls of school preferably; most people do not want to witness that.

Countryside students abuse bathroom passes maddiMiller

Everyday, students are constantly abusing the bathroom hall pass just so they can get out of class. This reoccurring problem is affecting their other classmates who truly need to use the bathroom but can not due to the policy of only one student out of class at a time a time, although teachers are not allowed to deny a student to use the bathroom even if another student is using the pass.

Maria Fern states, “I believe teachers should allow any student to use the bathroom but can still keep a time schedule.”

This idea will not only benefit students by being lenient about letting them go freely, but also still give the teacher power over how long each student takes.

In some cases, teachers overreact to students “abusing the pass” but what if the student had an emergency? Whether it was a bathroom or a personal emergency, a student should not be penalized as long as they inform the teacher on why they took so long.

Anthony Postiglione agrees that “Students should not be punished for taking too long using the bathroom if they had a good reason why.”

Even though teachers can be too strict about bathroom privileges, there are a handful of students who do abuse their rights. This is why we have faculty monitoring the halls during class so the school can prevent abusers and class skippers. In this case, if a student is intentionally wasting time in the halls, they deserve a punishment.

“I think students who abuse the passes should be punished” says Haley Yavorsky, “but the students in class who have to go should have the right to go.”

Keep an eye on Carlos Williams at future basketball games madisonANDERSON

The players on this year’s Countryside’s boy’s varsity basketball team are all exceptional. With multiple wins under their belts, the team is fantastic and well rounded. However, there is one player in particular who stands out: junior Carlos Williams. This 6’2 basketball star has had various colleges interested in his athletic ability, including his favorite and school of choice, Florida State University.

Williams started playing basketball when he was four years old and joined Countryside’s team in freshman year. He absolutely loves the sport

and wants to create a career out of his talent.

Williams is also a great team player.

“My favorite part about basketball is competing with my teammates,” Williams said.

Even though he has one more year of high school left, he still has an extremely promising career ahead of him should he choose to follow it.

With an average of 16 points per game, Williams is a fantastic player who will not disappoint in any of the games he participates in.

While watching Countryside’s matches against other schools, make sure to keep an eye out for number 11!

On December 17th, 18th, and 19th, Countryside high school produced a modern retelling of the 1958 play The Crucible by Arthur Miller.

Though the play followed a similar plotline of the original, it was set in a Christian school and the characters were made up of students and teachers alike.

The play at Countryside was student directed by junior Reegan Fabian but also supervised by Kimberly Florio, the drama department head.

When asked how she came across the play, Fabian stated, “I came across the play in my sophomore english class and fell in love with it.”

The play would be the first one she had ever directed as well as star in.

“Being the director and the lead in the play was very stressful but also very fun. I just had to make sure I wasn’t blaming myself for the little things that didn’t go as planned.”

Kim Florio had the main say in everything but she tried staying away from it as much as possible to allow Fabian to let her visions come alive.

“Getting to take all of my ideas and see them come together,” Fabian said about being the student director.

When asked what her favorite part of being the student director was, she responded, “I never heard the word ‘no.’”

As the student director, her jobs included casting, set design approval, as well as picking out the perfect costumes. Florio loved the idea of having a student director and knew Reegan would do an excellent job with the play.

When Reegan first approached Florio with the idea of doing a modern retelling of The Crucible for their fall production, she was opposed to the idea first since they had already done the show 10 years ago.

“At first I said no! I didn’t want to do it again since I did it 10 years ago. I prefer comedies but Reegan was such a dramaturg. She studied it and gave me every reason to use it for the 2016 fall show”.

Overall, the play did very well in Florio and Reegan’s eyes.

“I think it came together beautifully. It was well received and our updated version made it more interesting and I personally appreciated the fresh take since I did the show already”.

In the end, they sold a total of 300 tickets and made $3,000.

Nhi Truong sailed to Alabama on a soccer scholarship madisonANDERSON

Senior, Nhi Truong, a dedicated soccer player, made a verbal commitment to the University of Alabama in December of her junior year. This accomplishment could not have happened without commitment and dedication in meeting challenges.

Truong began playing soccer at the age of six.

She was influenced by her dad who also began playing at a young age, but she really liked the sport from the beginning. Truong’s father coached her and her brother, Tom, until she was 12 years old. In addition to playing for Countryside’s soccer team as a Cougar, Truong also played club soccer as a Charger for many years.

“It is always fun getting to know the girls and having the opportunity to play the sport that I love,” Truong says.

Truong had to overcome a serious injury during her junior year. She tore her ACL and went

through complications while recovering. After her surgery in January of 2016, she started physical therapy and began to gain her strength back.

After playing soccer at Countryside for a few years, as well as flag football during her freshman and sophomore year, Truong began deciding where she wanted to go for college. She got offers from a few different colleges including the University of Alabama, Louisiana State University, Florida State University, and Florida Gulf Coast.

After visiting the University of Alabama during the summer after her sophomore year, Truong decided upon the college of her dreams.

“I just really loved the school and could picture myself going there,” Truong says.

Truong wants to major in Exercise and Sports Science and get a degree in physical therapy.

Truong graduated after first semester and went up to Alabama to start her classes and begin training with her soccer team.

Robert Finke placed high in swimming competitions randiKISER

Swimming since the age of 5, Robert Finke has made many accomplishments in his swimming career already. He is one of the fastest swimmers in the state of Florida and all around the world.

This past summer, Finke swam three events at Olympic Trials; 400 Freestyle, 400 IM and 1500 Freestyle. He placed 6th in the 1500 Freestyle prelim swim with a time of 15:15.52. Top 8 swimmers get to come back for a finals swim. Robert being 16, was the youngest to make it back in that event and placed 7th overall out of 97 swim-

mers.

“Trials was a lot of fun and exciting. It was a great experience that will definitely prepare me for next time,” said Robert Finke.

When High School Swimming came around, Finke became a State Champion in both his individual races. Placing 1st in both individual events is a very big achievement, especially as only a Junior. He swam 200 IM with a time of 1:49.34 and 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:22.92.

Overall, Finke is a very talented student athlete. To keep up good grades and train as hard as he does is quite the accomplishment.

Countryside High School softball team will finally have a field to call their own. Ever since the school has had a softball team, they have had to play their practices and games at the Countryside recreational fields.

According to the Athletic Director Coach Blumer, 37 years ago, when the school was first built, a softball field was not a part of their original game plan.

When the Cougars went to state’s last year, attention was garnered from the superintendent and he decided a softball field needed to be built.

In spring 2017, the players will be able to walk onto their own field and play the game they love to play. Their cleats will be able to leave their mark on their own legacy.

“I am so excited to finally have a field of our own, especially since it is my senior year,” Senior, Makenzie Griffin said.

The cost for the game will be only $4; the same as most school sports games.

The next time students need something to do in the spring sports season, they should venture to the new softball field to cheer on their peers.

As the movie Field of Dreams states, “If you build it, they will come.”

ountryside cougars 2017 girls soccer team posses for their team picture.

The Lady Cougar Girls Soccer team went 10-3-1 for the 2016-17 season. This season the team took things to the next level defeating some of their biggest rivals including: East Lake, St. Pete and Seminole.

After finishing the regular season as the number one seed in their district, the Lady Cougars had the first round of districts where they beat Pinellas Park 7-0.

In the semifinals of districts they played East Lake, their biggest rival, in a nail biting performance. The score was 0-0 at the end of regulation which then went into two overtime periods.

There was eventually a face off of penalty kicks which ended in a massive victory for the Lady Cougars.

The Lady Cougars team then moved on to the district finals to play for the title for the first time in 11 years.

The final game was played against St. Pete, which ended in a devastating loss of 1-0. The Lady Cougars unfortunately did not claim the title of District Champs but were runner up and advanced to the first round of regionals.

“Going to play at regionals was a huge achievement especially because it had been 18 years since our team played for that title,” said junior Delaney Lynch.

After traveling all the way to Bloomingdale High School, the Lady Cougars came up short for the last time with a difficult loss of 2-1 during the last five minutes of the game.

Coach Duffy, the head coach, has transformed the girls soccer program over the past three years into a game changing team. These ladies have proven to Countryside High School that their cougar pride is alive and is not a force to be reckoned with.

This is a common phrase heard around the month of January. Resolutions are made on New Years to make a promise or goal that are to be “accomplished” in the upcoming year. Some commonly heard resolutions are: to lose weight, to get over an ex, to eat healthier or to cut out fast food items. As the end of January approaches, it is time to check up on those thoughtful resolutions. Here are a few responses Countryside students had when asked the question: “How have you been doing with you New Year’s Resolutions?”

“I ate healthy for the first day then slipped and a donut fell into my mouth and that was the end of my diet,” said senior Matthew Monaghan

“I have eaten healthy all month... well except for that time I went to Chick-Fil-A...” said junior Lily Conte.

Christmas socks rock Countryside’s socks off meganJONES

Each pair of Christmas socks shows a student’s individuality and creativity through clever designs of reindeers, santa hats, and crazy colors.

Fun socks can be found in places such as Target, Icing, and Walmart. The best part is... they can be found for as little as a dollar, allowing high school students to share their holiday spirit on a budget.

“They’re so festive and comfy, and it just fits the time of year!” said Sophia Landa. “I love fuzzy Christmas socks because they’re comfortable and soft.”

Students around Countryside cannot wait until next year to debut their new, festive socks.

As the holidays come to a close, students at Countryside have expressed their holiday spirit through fun socks. All throughout the hallways are socks decorated with snowmen, reindeer and elves. But these socks don’t just celebrate Christmas; socks have been spotted around the school celebrating Hanukkah with dreidels and menorahs. These fun socks allow students to express their holiday spirit, all while remaining in dress code.

“They’re comfy and have really cute designs,” said sophomore Sam Fineo, “I like the fuzzy Christmas ones with snowmen on them.”

Moana makes a splash in theaters julesTRUONG

In Disney’s newest animated movie, the audience is taken into the world of Moana, a young teen who embarks on a journey across the ocean to save her people and her home island. Along the way, she needs to find Maui, a demigod with the power of shapeshifting thanks to his giant fish hook. His job it is to return the heart of Te Fiti to its original resting place with Moana as his sailing guide. Moana, as it is so rightfully named, is composed of a multitude of absolutely brilliant pieces that all come together to form one wonderful masterpiece that anybody able to should go see as soon as possible.

Moana is composed of absolutely stunning animation that is obviously well loved with the amount of detail that has been given to each

aspect. The water looks ridiculously real and, in many other interviews and reviews, critics have commented that the animators have absolutely nailed it on the head despite water being some of the most difficult things to animate.

The sky above the ocean is also a gorgeous collection of colors depending on the time of the day. Ranging from a beautiful blending of oranges for a sunset to a star dotted starry night sky, the world above the water reflects upon a beautifully animated ocean to give each scene an absolutely gorgeous composition.

This only touches the tip of the iceberg of animation that Moana contains. The islands they visit that have foliage are wonderfully vibrant and the characters are all animated with a careful eye. The character’s hair reflects real Pacific Islanders with lovingly animated long, frizzy

locks that still move in a realistic fashion. Overall, the animation in Moana is absolutely stunning and makes for a fantastic visual adventure.

Another reason to go see Moana is definitely for the original soundtrack. Featuring many songs written by Hamilton’s Lin Manuel Miranda, the songs are all catchy and beautiful to listen to.

Dwayne Johnson, who voices Maui, has his own song that he sings, and if you were unsure of his singing capabilities, they should be blown away by his song, You’re Welcome. Other hit songs include How Far I’ll Go and I am Moana that are sung by Auli’i Cravalho who voices Moana.

Overall, the movie is an absolute treat to watch, and is one of Disney’s best movies in recent years. Though Moana will probably be out of theaters, make sure to watch it on Netflix or buy the DVD to show support for the wonderful movie!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has put Harry Potter fans in a frenzy. Magic and wizards are revived in this major motion film centering around Newt Scamander, author of one of Harry’s textbooks titled Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them.

An aspiring magizoologist, Newt finds himself in New York with a magical briefcase filled with magical creatures in a society where wizards are hidden and many of these creatures are considered nothing more than pests. Newt is a loveable yet awkward and blunt character who stumbles through the magical community of America.

While Newt is there, an evil wizard, Grindewald (Johnny Depp), causes panic and unease throughout the magic community, as well as Mary Lou Barebone (Samantha Morton), a political activist who calls for a “New Salem” in the New York City streets. She convinces her followers that witches live among them and are the reason for much of the destruction around them.

In this setting, Newt meets many new friends, such as a No Maj (muggle) baker, Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), and a Magical Congress of the United States of America agent, Porpentina--Tina--Goldstein (Katherine Watson) as well as her sister, Queenie (Alison Sudol). With their help, he must recapture the escaped magical beasts and uncover the mystery behind the sudden magical disturbance in New York.

Throughout the movie, there is heavy use of computer generated images (CGI). The generated creatures are vibrantly colored and full of life and imagination. The creatures are so beautifully captured, it is almost as if they are real. One of the creatures the audience immediately falls in love with is the Niffler, a small, cute marsupial that collects shiny objects in its bottomless pouch. This is the first creature to escape from the briefcase and in doing so steals the hearts of viewers.

Inside the briefcase where Newt keeps his magical menagerie, the CGI takes the film to an entire new level of wonder and fascination. New creatures fill the screen in their vibrant and otherworldly forms, all as surreal as they are lifelike.

For Harry Potter fans, there are hidden easter eggs throughout the movie, all references to the Harry Potter books as well as fun hints as to the creation of Newt Scamander. These small but wonderfully placed details give the viewers a sort of nostalgia for the old Harry Potter series, using old symbols and metaphors in this new feature film.

Four more movies are to stem from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, giving viewers and Harry Potter fanatics a reignited sense of anticipation.

For the first time in eight months, anxious ABC fans eager to get their “Thank God it’s Thursday’s” back await 8pm. Some of television’s favorite shows have been on a break for quite a while now leaving off with intense cliffhangers and suspense. Returning with a bang, here is what went down on this week’s thrilling premiers.

Grey’s Anatomy returned for the second half of its 13th season on January 26th. The season left off with original Greys star, Alex Karev, settling a plea deal for an abuse case in which he took part in. Meanwhile three of the doctor’s took a trip to a local high security prison where they worked together on a dangerous patient.

A rollercoaster of emotions and activities took place in their time there with a high risk patient. The patient, Kristin Rochester, jumps on Dr. Eldredge and breaks her finger. The episode turns into an emotional moment when Kristin is pushed into early labor, to save her unborn baby with a tumor. Kristin’s mother refuses to see her daughter while she is in labor.

Kristin has her child while handcuffed to

the table until her wrists are raw. The doctors leave the hospital crushed and exhausted, and find out that Alex Karev took the plea deal, and will go to prison. The episode ends with all three doctors struggling to hold back tears.

Scandal began with Frankie Vargas becoming the President Elect. Just as he steps on stage to thank his voters, he is shot on scene.

Olivia Pope suspected the person behind this to be Cyrus. This left President Fitzgerald Grant with the important decision of deciding who would take his place in the coming year, either Mellie or Cyrus. When Olivia arrives at the hospital to console Vargas’ wife, she sees that

Cyrus is completely stunned and unable to interact. This convinces her that she was wrong, and causes Fitz to choose Cyrus as the next President of the United States.

The episode ended with breaking news; Cyrus did have Frankie Vargas killed. Tune into Scandal, Thursday’s at 9pm, for more exciting twists and turns!

How to Get Away with Murder opened with a flashback of Frank and Wes, sitting in Frank’s car. Wes tells Frank that the police are investigating Annalise, and he is thinking about cooperating with them. The police then begin to question Annalise, who thinks they are accusing her of murdering him, but actually, the police just want information on Frank.

The episode consists of Frank trying to convince the police that he was responsible for the housefire and Wes’ death. Frank is ultimately arrested at the end of the episode. In the last few minutes of the episode, it is revealed that Bonnie is partially responsible for Wes’ death.

Dylan Stevens is a 17 year old internet sensation. He uses various computer programs, including Photoshop, and Lightroom to create photographic masterpieces. He then shows them off on Instagram to his almost 15,000 followers. He has been using his primary tool, Photoshop, since he was thirteen years old.

“I love messing with people’s facial features with Photoshop,” Stevens said. “I enjoy highlighting and contouring the important qualities in the pictures I take.”

Stevens had a photo of his recently featured on the Mountain Outlaw magazine that is based in Big Sky, Montana.

The magazine found him on Instagram (@itsdylanstevens) and directly messaged him wondering if they could use his photo for the front cover of their winter issue.

The picture chosen for the magazine features half of Stevens’ face pressed against half of a wolf hybrid with a lot of emphasis on their eyes. To use the picture, Mountain Outlaw paid him $350.

For another photo that was taken in August of 2016, Stevens gave himself blue hair with sailboats on top. Said photo has received 1,000 likes on Instagram and is also the cover of this issue.

“I was inspired by a painting I found online and I wanted to recreate a more realistic and surreal look,” Stevens said.

Dylan’s photos have helped inspire many other artists into creating their own work. After high school, he hopes to got to college to study photography and digital design.
