Stc<de*tt As people walk across the Central Baptist College campus, they should expect the unexpected to jump out in front of them. Strange things happen in the cafeteria.

This involves anything from food fights to the singing out of the melodius birthday song (NOT!). In the Student Center people can see the ever famous and delicate Wall-ball being played. In the gym people can see many kinds of creatures. Anything from a blind referee to

people with painted faces doing back flips across the court. At the beginning of the year one could have seen

students playing "Red Rover,"the well known elementary game. Many of these things, if not all of them, seem to be very crazy, but that's okay because we're a\\ in this together.

During the summer of 1993, improvements were made on Bruce Hall such as new windows

and sandblasting of the bricks. But none of the re-building will ever match all of the long-lasting memories on the inside.

Many friendships are made between the girls living in Bruce Hall that will last a lifetime. Along with these friendships come times of problems and burdens, but the problems and burdens make the friendships stronger. Bruce Hall is also a place filled with love from the dorm parents. Stanley and Cynthia Payne are more than just dorm parents. Their Christian love is shown

through the hospitality and willingness to always be there forthe girls. Their children,Kayla and Nathan, often bring smiles to everyone.

Head resident and family, Stanley, Cynthia, Kayla, and Nathan Payne. Kayia and Nathan Payne add a special atmosphere with there smiling faces. Mom and Dad Payne show Bruce Mali what "P.D.A." is ail about. WARNING

- Beware of the wrath of Cynthia Payne. '

The IMPACT team has played a very big part in the recruiting process for CBC the pastfewyears. IMPACT means "Involving More People and Christ Together." The IMPACT team is a drama group that performs at fifth quarters, youth meetings, lock-ins, and church services. Through their drama they present how Christ can make a difference in our lives, and they also help to recruit prospective students for Central Baptist College. This years Impact team members are: Christi Snow, Tren Groat, Mark Livingston, Kim Otwell, Stacey Epperson, Dave Vandergriff, Andy Johnson, Cito Dickson, and Kevin Paul (sound man). The group is

fp

under the direction of Admissions Counselor,Jeff Riddle.

The theme for this year is "Making a World of Differ ence." The skit starts out in the junior high years and goes through the college years. Through this time the kids begin to see that, with Christ, they can make a world of difference. They went on a spring tour to Missouri, where the had four performances over the weekend, and also performed at Dawson McAllister's "See Ya At The Party" nation wide youth rally. Director Jeff Riddle said, "The IMPACT team is fast becoming the most effective ministry for CBC in the 90's."

ET

k The IMPACT team meets in the Confer

ence Room just to feel Important for a while. Jeff Riddle conducts the IMPACT

team meetings. Christi Snow hieps out on Registration day by typing names on I.D. cards. "Hey! It's fun and we get paid," exclaims Kim Otwell.
