Insight Raising the Standard Certes team achieves flying colours for recruitment practice standard Seven members of Certes Group, have successfully completed level one of the Recruitment Practice Standard (RPS) examination. The RPS, launched earlier this year by the Association of Staffing Companies (APSCo), is a unique set of examinations for recruiters, promoting excellence throughout the professional staffing industry. The RPS has three levels of assessment based on an employee’s recruitment experience and has been developed to be thorough, challenging and a benchmark for industry excellence. Following the completion of the Recruitment 101 course through Lander Associates, Certes decided to trial the RPS with a group of junior consultants. It is now planning on rolling out the assessment across the whole company. Simon Churan, Managing Director of Certes commented: “I’m delighted that all seven employees passed the test with flying colours. Feedback from them all about the course has been really positive which is why we have taken the decision to roll it out across the whole company for our junior staff. We are also considering extending this to our more experienced consultants in the coming months who are more suited to level two and three”. Fiona Lander, Managing Director of Lander Associates says: “We are thrilled that delegates from our client Certes, following attendance on our Recruitment 101 programme, have sailed through the RPS assessment with flying colours. It’s great to see its investment in its consultants to attend the training course has really paid dividends – not only in helping them achieve their RPS recognition but also ensuring they have the right skills to be successful in their job.” Ann Swain, CEO of APSCo, says: “I’m pleased to hear that Certes is rolling out RPS level one across the board, it’s testament to the robustness of the assessment and value it adds to staffing companies”.
