Event Recap Spirit Training Conference
On August 19, 2023, I attended the Spirit Training Conference. When I got there we were introduced to the spirit team and then split up into groups. In these groups we learned the different chants that we will be shouting out at FRN. My group was really welcoming and made sure everyone was included and knew the chants! During the break times they provided otter pops and water since we were out in the heat. At the end of the event, we had a spirit battle. Overall, this was a very quick but enjoyable event.

Event Recap
Karoke DCM
The karaoke DCM was so much fun, it was amazing for august. I got to meet so many new people including our own members. All of cchskc sang last friday night by katy perry together which was a sort of bonding experience. Our club even got to sell and raise money for ptp(pediatric trauma program). Also at the dcm we did origami service and get well cards for an advisor named Mr. Lane, best wishes to him and his family.

Event Recap National Night out
I volunteered the whole day at the national night out. It was really hot that day, but there were cooling stations, sprinklers, and the pride center if you needed to cool off. I mostly helped out with setting up everyone's booths and running simple tasks. The entire event was really fun. They had games, food trucks, a karate display, and a band. I met a lot of new people and made new friends. I think a highlight would be talking to the pride center and partnering up for future volunteer opportunities.

Event Recap
Cesar Chavez Club Rush
On August 22nd, we had our club rush which turned out to be successful with the interest of 70 people who signed up wanting to be a part of Key Club! About ten minutes before our second period ended, the Key Club board was called out by ASB to help set up our table. After setting up about two large posters, our flyers, and having our spirit stick out, we finally had students of all grades swarm as soon as the bell rang. The many questions circulating around our little canopy made me feel exhilarated but also out of breath as I also walked around to advertise our club. By the end of Club Rush, we all felt exhausted but content because we managed to pique a lot of people’s interests and gather lots of sign ups. In all, I can say that our club rush flourished!
