My name is JieMei Zhang. Everyone calls me “Jamie”. I am originally from China. I worked at CESL for almost three years. I was a Student Activity Coordinator Assistant. My job was to plan for wonderful activities around Tucson to help students to relax and to practice English at the same time. I love my job! I really wish I could work there forever. I was a student at the University of

Arizona and I majored in Nursing. I graduated in December 2012, and was recently married. I will, hopefully, become an RN at the University of Arizona Medical Center. I hope to see everyone again, however, not in the hospital :) ______________________

Patrick Su Wang I am Patrick and I am from China. I study dance at the University of Arizona. I studied English at CESL for about one year. I just started my university classes this semester and started working at CESL. The school for me is wonderful! Studying at the University of Arizona is a totally different experience. I have a lot of new knowledge that I had never dreamed of before. My dance class is going well and I am practicing things I have never previously tried. I can study whatever I am interested in studying at this university. This surprised me very much. It helps me to develop myself fully. I would say that I like this university and I like America. The best and most surprising thing is that I was offered a job at CESL. I am a Student Activities Worker, which is my dream job and my first job in the USA. On my job I can meet people from many different countries and make new friends. It is a lot of fun to plan activities for students. When I studied at CESL I used to participate in many activities and now I am helping to plan them!

Welcome Back Miye! CESL teachers were thrilled to have a visitor arrive from South Korea. Miye is a well loved CESL alum who recently returned to Tucson for a visit with her former teachers and a trip down memory lane!. It was great to see you Miye! ______________________ 38 Colombian teachers study in the IEP

We welcomed a group of 38 teachers from Colombia into our IEP this spring. They were a welcome addition to our classes not only because they were outgoing, enthusiastic, and diligent, but also because they were teachers who really appreciated seeing methods used here at CESL . They will certainly be missed by their CESL instructors and students alike.
