PHILLIPS Programs for Children and Families, $25,000 Serving all of Northern Virginia Funding helped PHILLIPS explore a social enterprise worker cooperative initiative, an urban indoor vertical farm that grows fresh produce based on a current vertical farm operation at one of its school programs.

Nova Labs+, $7,000 Serving all of Northern Virginia This grant promoted and spurred innovation and creativity for the 5,000+ attendees at the annual Nova Maker Faire held at George Mason University’s Fairfax campus in March 2019.

ENVIRONMENT FUND Protects, restores and improves the natural environment for Northern Virginia, thereby enhancing the health and quality of life of its citizens and the economy of the region.
Piedmont Environmental Council, $30,000 Serving Fairfax County The grant enabled the Coalition for Smarter Growth to hire a full-time policy advocate and organizer to collaboratively advocate for the integrated smart growth solutions that address transportation, land use, climate change, air and water pollution, and human health.
NoVA Outside^^, $10,000 Serving all of Northern Virginia The grant supported the Student Environmental Action Showcase at George Mason University, bringing students together to amplify the youth voice in environmental problem-solving.
