Street Art changes everything. Again Art have been reserved for the rich, the fortunate, the exception. Great works of art have been stuck in galleries or private collections, collecting dust over the years and giving the owner the monetary values rivalling countries BNP when the artwork changes hand. Street Art takes the giant leap towards art for the masses. Suddenly, you walk out the door in the morning, pass the abandoned house on the corner and are confronted with a work of art from one of todays most celebrated artists. An artist surrounded by a veil of secrecy reaching out to common people through strong, graphical artworks in public places. Street Art is hailed by the public, the media, and even collectors and galleries. On the other hand city councils discuss zero-tolerance. Free speech is obviously limited to orderly fashion and property-rights‌ What you hold in your hand is a documentation of Street Art. The art you see here might be painted over by now, or the building it clung to might even be gone, torn down to make way for capitalisms relentless urban development. This is a last chance to see. Photography has always been able to reveal to us more than meets the eye. These photographs gives you a second look at the reality in front of you, they urge you to explore your urban landscape and they show you the art that once challenged peoples minds. These last a long time after the city council pass by with their hoses.
