2016 SEASON PREVIEW The Coast Guard men’s lacrosse team enters their second season at the varsity level with high hopes for the 2016 season. The Bears return 14 players from last season’s team that went 4-10 overall and 2-5 in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play. Coast Guard brings in 18 talented freshmen who will be looking to make an immediate impact on the men’s lacrosse program. The weather has already cooperated better this season for the Bears as they have been able to practice outside and get a better feel for game like conditions earlier in the year. “We really could not get to any situational lacrosse until spring break last season,” commented second year head coach Ray LaForte on the better weather during preseason. “Being outside, the team had been able to settle in better.” Starting on the defensive side of the ball, Coast Guard has depth in the goalie position as sophomore Kurt Caminske returns from last season registering three of teams four wins and posting a 9.99 goals against average with 74 saves in 10 appearances. Joining Caminske will be freshmen Trey Johnson and Connor Hoehle. “We clearly have three college level goalies for the upcoming season,” added LaForte on the trio of goalies. Sophomore John Behnke is the only returning starter for the Coast Guard defense from last season. He will be joined by two freshmen, Ryland Chapman and Mike McCaslin to make up the starting back line. Freshman Tom Bleifuss will split time between defense and being a long stick midfielder.

Senior Jeff Bors will highlight the Bears defensive midfield, moving up from defense, for the 2016 season. Bors has good control with the long stick through the midfield last season and was third on the team last season in ground balls (34) and first in caused turnovers (13). “The whole reason we moved Jeff (Bors) up to long stick middie is because he is the best guy with the ball on ground,” said LaForte about Bors. Joining Bors in the defensive midfield is senior captain Kyle Carosotto who was second on the team with 38 groundballs and senior Robert McKenna who will be sliding into a more defensive role this season.

The Bears have been lucky enough to have Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player, Adam Rand working with the team this season. Rand has been one of the top face off specialist in both NCAA and MLL history. Through the attacking midfield, the Bears will have a mixture of young and old as senior Justin Huemme and brother, sophomore Matt Huemme will be joined by sophomore Alec Groff, 2015 team rookie of the year, and freshmen Anthony Wyler and Benner Guertsen. Justin Huemme was second team all conference last season leading Coast Guard with 22 goals, seven assists and 29 points, while Matt Huemme had 13 goals, six assists and 19 points. Wyler comes in as one of the top players from Maryland playing at The Boys’ Latin School and will be another scoring option in the midfield for the Bears. Guertsen is a large, athletic body with great awareness in the midfield and he will force defenses to make matchup decisions. The Coast Guard attack will see a number of contributors. Junior Blaise Curtis has had an excellent preseason while senior Trent Moon has improved immensely since last season. Freshman Jack Pope will join Curtis and Moon as a scoring threat early on in his career. Freshmen Cole Hudson and Ian Logan will also be contributors, getting runs at attack. Coach LaForte also spoke highly of his senior class, helping bridge the gap between the large freshmen class and the veteran group. Senior Louis DePaolis has been a go to guy for many, if not all, of his teammates. “The spiritual leader of our team is Lou DePaolis,” commented Coach LaForte. “Whether he could play basketball or not you would want him on the basketball team, whether he could play football or not you would want him on the football team. He is a magnetic personality among his peers.”

“We are talented, but young. They (the back three) will wind up playing against guys with a lot of college experience, so they will need to be able to learn quickly,” said LaForte about the defense.

Coast Guard will look to replace all conference face off specialist Nick Chicoine from last season with several new faces. Freshmen Colin Cashin has shown great speed in the circle while freshmen Jeff Porter and Matt Nagle will also take face offs this season.

When asked about the team captain (Justin Huemme and Carosotto), LaForte said, “Carosotto and Huemme are an ionizing group of captain. They have opened the door for 18 freshmen to show up, feel welcome and contribute. Without their ability to surround the group, we would be in trouble. They are really good captains.” The Bears looks to blend a strong veteran upper class with a talented group of freshman who will be in the hunt at the end of the season for a postseason berth.

REAR ADMIRAL JAMES E. RENDON ACADEMY SUPERINTENDENT FIRST YEAR Rear Admiral Rendon assumed the duties of the 41st Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, June 1, 2015. He reported to the Academy after serving as Director, Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF West), the U.S. Pacific Command’s executive agent for planning and conducting counter-drug strategy in an area of operations covering more than 105 million square miles.

Prior to this assignment, Rear Admiral Rendon served as Assistant Superintendent of the Coast Guard Academy, the Superintendent’s direct representative to oversee day-to-day operations. Prior to his first Academy assignment, he served as Director of Staff to the Vice Commandant.

career. He served as Commander, Sector Northern New England in Portland Maine, as well as, Chief Response, Fifth Coast Guard District in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Rear Admiral Rendon is a cutterman with afloat tours as Deck Watch Officer aboard Durable, a 210-foot cutter home-ported in Brownsville, Texas; Executive Officer aboard the Patrol Boat Ocracoke in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, and Commanding Officer of the Surface Effect Ship Petrel in Key West, Florida. Other operational ashore assignments consist of staff advisor, Seventh Coast Guard District Intelligence and Law Enforcement Branch in Miami, Florida, Operations Officer for Group Key West, Florida, as well as Commander, Coast Guard Group Mayport in Northeast Florida.

Rear Admiral Rendon served as Aide de Camp to the 20th Commandant of the Coast Guard. He also completed a Congressional Fellowship in our nation’s Capital, where he worked for the House of Representatives, Government Reform Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy and Human Resources, followed by a two-year assignment as Drug Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the House.

Rear Admiral Rendon’s personal awards include a Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (6), Coast Guard Commendation Medal (3), Coast Guard Achievement Medal, and a variety of other unit awards and service ribbons. He is authorized to wear the Cutterman’s Insignia and the Boat Forces Operations Insignia.

A 1983 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, Rear Admiral Rendon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois. He also completed study at the National War College, Class of 2005, where he earned a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy.

TIM FITZPATRICK DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS FIFTH YEAR Tim Fitzpatrick is in his fifth year as Director of Athletics at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and on his watch the USCGA’s athletic program has seen growth in several key areas.

programs. Additionally, Fitzpatrick managed IU’s external units, including marketing, ticket operations, licensing, merchandising, website, and publications.

In addition to securing a comprehensive, five-year shoe and apparel agreement with adidas America for the academy’s 23 NCAA sports, he oversaw a rebranding initiative that has resulted in new logos and marks and created an athletic booster organization, the CGA Bear Club, as an annual giving entity to fund athletics “margin of excellence” projects and initiatives.

Additionally, he negotiated a 6-year, $21,000,000 shoe and apparel agreement with adidas America and administered the Hoosiers’ multi-media partnerships with Learfield Sports and the Big Ten Network. During his tenure, Indiana realized a ticket sales revenue increase of 15-percent over annual budgeted projections.

Under Fitzpatrick’s guidance, the department now conducts an annual women’s professional development seminar (the Women’s LeadHERship Symposium), which features prominent national leaders in women’s athletics for female USCGA athletic staff members as well as attendees from colleges and universities throughout New England.

Prior to the Academy Fitzpatrick was the Director of Athletics at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for two years prior, after spending the previous four years as the Deputy Athletic Director at Indiana University. At Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, Fitzpatrick secured major gifts for construction of a new outdoor tennis center, as well as renovation of the university’s baseball and softball stadiums. He additionally served on the NCAA’s Division I Women’s Basketball Issues Committee while in south Texas, and executed a strategic plan which increased the department’s corporate sponsorship revenue by nearly 40%. While at Indiana, he was responsible for internal administration of the department, oversaw capital construction and facilities management, and had oversight of the football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball

He arrived at West Point from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, where he served as the associate athletics director for external affairs and executive director of the athletic foundation during the 1998-99 academic year. Prior to Army and Charlotte, Fitzpatrick served in a similar role at the University of Pittsburgh. Fitzpatrick was a senior associate athletics director at the University of North Texas from May 1994 to June 1996. He was instrumental in UNT’s transition from NCAA Division I-AA football to the Big West Conference. He gained considerable experience as Assistant Commissioner of the Southwest Conference from 1992-94. Fitzpatrick began his athletic administration career as the assistant marketing director at Army before moving on to Virginia Commonwealth as the director of marketing and Ticket Sales (1984-87) and Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Public Relations from 1987-92. A 1981 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a bachelor’s degree in English, Fitzpatrick earned his master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio University in 1982.

He has launched an external program for sale of corporate sponsorships and partnerships, established a Faculty Affiliate program, began the annual Celebrate New London football game initiative and was the driving force in the men’s basketball teams appearance in the Armed Forces Classic on ESPNU last season.

Fitzpatrick came to IU after spending the previous five years as COO and associate athletics director for external operations at the U.S. Military Academy.

COAST GUARD ACADEMY NITCHMAN TRACK & FIELD COMPLEX The Track & Field Complex was constructed in the summer of 2007 first used for the men’s and women’s soccer games that Fall. The FieldTurf surface lies on the banks of the beautiful Thames River and is also home to the men’s and women’s track & field program.

COMMANDER JOHN MERRIMAN GYM Merriman Gymnasium is home to the women’s volleyball program and the men’s and women’s basketball programs. The gym holds three basketball courts used for varsity practices and games, as well as intramural competition. The 1200-seat facility has been home to numerous league and regional championships.

ROLAND POOL Roland Pool is home to our men’s and women’s swimming and diving program. The eight-lane, 50-yard pool is also used daily for athletic training programs for our cadet-athletes, physical education courses, as well as military training programs necessary to carry out the missions of the Coast Guard for all cadets.

NITCHMAN BASEBALL FIELD Nelson Nitchman Field is home of the Coast Guard Academy baseball team. The picturesque view from the field overlooks the Thames River.

NITCHMAN SOFTBALL FIELD Nelson Nitchman Field is home of the softball team. The Bears have enjoyed tremendous success winning three of the last four NEWMAC tournament championships and going to the NCAA tournament four straight seasons (20092012).

CADET MEMORIAL FIELD Cadet Memorial Field was made into a FieldTurf surface in 2004 as a gift from the Class of 1952. The facility features a twostory press box that includes two coaches rooms, a room for radio broadcasting and video recording, space for media personnel, and two lounge lounge areas for additional seating. The 1500seat stadium overlooks the Thames River and the Gold Star Memorial Bridge.

Coast Guard Athletics has two weight rooms, each featuring state-of-theart equipment for our cadets and cadet-athletes to use to improve their overall health and fitness. The facility in Roland Hall is dedicated to freeweight exercising while our Billard Hall facility holds our nautilus, cardio, and other guided machine equipment.

Shaakira Hassell

Strength and Conditioning Coach Hassell, in her first season at the Coast Guard Academy, was most recently the fitness manager at XSport Fitness in Chicago. She has a degree in Self-Designed Sports Science from Beloit College in Wisconsin where she was the class president as well as master’s degrees in Health and Physical Education from Valdosta State and Sports and Fitness Management from Troy University.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

She was the tactical strength and conditioning coach at Fort Bragg from 2013-2104 and prior to that the strength and conditioning coach at IMG Academy in Florida from 2011-2013. Hassell began her career as the strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Georgia Southern during the 2004-2005 academic year before moving onto Valdosta State as graduate assistant for two years. She then served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Troy University from 2007-2011 before taking the position at IMG Academy. Hassell played for both the Chicago Force and the Atlanta Xplosion Women’s of the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL) and her Atlanta team won the 2006 IWFL Championship. She was also a member of the US Virgin Islands Women’s National Basketball team practice squad.

RAY LAFORTE HEAD COACH SECOND SEASON Ray La Forte is entering his second season as men’s lacrosse coach at the Coast Guard Academy. The Bear’s men’s lacrosse program is being elevated from club status and will compete at the Division III level in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). La Forte spent last season as associate head coach of the Coast Guard club lacrosse. The team went 11-5 last season, won the Pioneer Club Lacrosse League Championship for the first time in school history, and qualified for the MCLA lacrosse championships for the second year in a row. Before coming to the Coast Guard La Forte worked as an assistant lacrosse coach at Ithaca College. While at Ithaca he worked under hall of fame head coach Jeff Long and alongside current University of Maryland head coach John Tillman and 2006 National Coach of the Year Rich Barnes who led Cortland State do a national championship in 2006. La Forte served as the head JV coach for the 1995 season and then moved up to assistant varsity lacrosse coach from 19961999. While serving as assistant coach he was in charge of riding game and man down defense. The Bombers qualified for the 1998 NCCA Tournament. Ray has also been on the Football coaching staff as offensive coordinator the last ten years and defensive coordinator six years before that. He has also served as assistant track and field coach where he mentored Adam Scalese to six All-American finishes in the hurdles. Ray, his wife Michelle and children Michael (15), Mason (12) and Madison (8) reside in Waterford.

DAVE FRABONI ASSISTANT COACH SECOND SEASON

Dave Fraboni is joining the Coast Guard coaching staff for the teams first year competing at the NCAA Division III Level.

During the spring of 2014 Fraboni was an assistant coach at Saint Michael’s where the team was one year removed from an appearance in the NE-10 semi-final. A 2013 graduate of New England Division III power Springfield College, Fraboni gained coaching experience the between 2011 and 2013 with Springfield’s Peak Lacrosse Camp, where he coached players of all skill levels, ranging from youth to rising high school seniors. A four-year member of the men’s lacrosse team at Springfield, Fraboni appeared in 21 games for the Pride, recording three goals and an assist from the midfield. During his career, Springfield won the Pilgrim League Tournament each year to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Fraboni earned his bachelor’s degree in general studies with a sports studies concentration and also a minor in coaching.

MIKE HIGBIE ASSISTANT COACH SECOND SEASON Lieutenant Michael Higbie graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 2009 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mike joined the men’s lacrosse coaching staff as a defensive assistant in 2013. He now coaches the midfielders and shares defensive coordination with his college teammate and fellow Lieutenant Pat Powers. As a player for the Academy, Mike was a four year starter at Long Stick Midfield (LSM). He served as captain during his senior season and also earned first team All-Conference honors. Before returning to the Academy as a teacher, Mike served onboard Coast Guard cutters in Charleston, S.C. and Woods Hole, Mass. SENIOR - DEFENSEMAN ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND Bors led the Bears in caused turnovers last season and was third on the team with 34 ground balls. He will look to continue to dominate on the defensive side of the ball as a long stick midfielder. He is a Mechanical Engineering major. BEFORE CGA Jeff attended Broadneck high school in Annapolis, Maryland and played lacrosse for head coach Clay White. In the final year of club lacrosse at the Academy Bors made PCLL second team defense in 2014. He is a Dean’t list student at the Academy. His father, Jim Bors, was a nuclear submarine for seven years. GETTING TO KNOW JEFF Jeff ’s favorite athlete is Kirk Cousins who is the quarterback for his favorite pro sports team, the Washington Redskins. The most used app on his phone is facebook and is he could meet anyone, living or deceased, it would be Winston Churchill. His favorite video game is Super Smach Bros. and if he could visit any sports stadium on earth it would be the Colosseum.

SENIOR - MIDIFIELDER WESTECHESTER, NEW YORK DePaolis was third on the team with 16 goals last and fourth with 21 points. Louis will look to continue to make an impact in the Bears midfield this seaosn. He is majoring in BEFORE CGA Depaolis played both hocked and lacrosse while he attended Forham Prep for high school. He was a member of the National Honor Society in High School. Louis is the only son of Lou and Anne Marie DePaolis.

SENIOR - MIDFIELDER EAST GREENWICH, RHODE ISLAND Kyle will serve as team captain for the 2016 season. He was second on the team with 38 grounds balls last season and also forced seven turnovers. He was named team mvp last season. Carosotto majors in mechanical engineering. BEFORE CGA Kyle attended East Greenwich High School and played lacrosse for head coach Brian Trapani. He served as team captain his senior year and was named all division. He also ran for the schools indoor track and field team and was all division also. Carosotto was also a member of the schools Unified Volleyball team who were national champions. Kyle is the second generation Coast Guard lacrosse player as his father played at the Academy and went on to serve in the Coast Guard as a civil engineer. GETTING TO KNOW KYLE If Carosotto could meet anyone dead or alive he would meet Michael Jordan. His favorite athlete is Derek Jeter and his favorite snack food is trail mix. The most used app on his phone is snapchat and his biggest pet peeve is people who grind their teeth.

JUSTIN HUEMME SENIOR - MIDFIELDER SHERBORN, MASSACHUSETTS

Justin will serve as team captain for the 2016 season. Huemme was first on the team in goals (22), assists (7) and points (29) last season. He was a second team all conference midfielder. Justin had a season high five points against Mitchell last season. Huemme is a Mechanical Engineering major and the son of Janelle Oveson and Chad Huemme. BEFORE CGA Huemme attended Dover-Sherbown and played lacrosse for coach Bryan McLaoughlin. He was also a member of the schools golf team and was team captain his senior year. Justin’s brother Matt is also a member of the Coast Guard Lacrosse team while their mother (Janelle) attended the Academy and was a member of the Pistol team. GETTING TO KNOWJUSTIN McKenna’s favorite TV show is Vikings. If he could meet anyone, living or deceased, it would be Elon Musk, founder of Tesla. The most used application on Justin’s phone is 8tracks and his biggest pet peeve is people who chew with their mouth open.

SENIOR - MIDFIELDER CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA McKenna was second on the team in goals (17), tied for third in points (21). He also took advantage of manup opportunites, leading the team with five goals. Robert is a management major and is the son of Captain Robert McKenna and Caroline McKenna. BEFORE CGA Robert atteneded Xavier in Madison, Connecticut where he was a member of the lacrosse team. He was also a member of the National Honor Society for for his excellent work in the classroom. GETTING TO KNOW ROBERT McKenna’s favorite TV show is a toss up between House of Cards and Game of Thrones. If he could meet anyone, living or deceased, it would be Mark Wahlberg. The most used application on Robert’s phone is Clash of Clans and his biggest pet peeve is obnoxious people.

DAN FIORVANTI JUNIOR - MIDFIELDER COMMACK, NEW YORK

Fiorvanti was second in faceoff win percentage at .462. With senior Nick Chicoine, graduated, Dan will see more opportunities to take faceoffs this seaosn. Fiorvanti also is a member of the Coast Guard wrestling team. He is a civil engineering major.

BEFORE CGA Dan was a member of both the wrestling team and lacrosse team at Commack High, serving as team captain his senior year for the wrestling team.. Fiorvanti’s grandfather served in the Navy. Daniel has two older brothers, Tim and Greg and an older sister Michelle and it the son of Ed and Janice Fiorvanti. GETTING TO KNOW DAN His favorite food is chicken parmesan with spaghetti and his favorite snack food is oreos. Dan’s favorite TV show is Jeopardy and his favorite movie is Goodfellas. His favorite actor is Steve Carell and his favorite band is the Foo Fighters. A New York Jets fan, he lists the greatest coach to ever live as Dan Gable. If he could meet anyone living or deceased it would be George Washington.

BLAISE CURTIS JUNIOR - MIDIFIELDER RIVERSIDE, MARYLAND

During his sophomore season Blaise was tied for third on the team with six assists. He will look to play a larger role in the Bears offense this year. The son of Paul and Mary Curtis is a Mechanical Engineering major. BEFORE CGA Curits was a four sport athlete at Aberdeen High School where he was a member of the Soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and volleyball team. He was captiain of the lacrosse team his junior and senior year and captain of the volleyball team his senior year. He was honorable mention all conference his senior year and offensive MVP for the team his junior and senior year. Blaise was also an honor roll student. GETTING TO KNOW BLAISE Blaise’s favorite food is grilled cheese and his favorite TV show is Game of Thrones. If he could meet anyone, living or deceased it would be the Wright Brothers. The most used app on his phone is Instagram adnd his biggest pet peeve is chapped lips.

KURT CAMINSKE SOPHOMORE - GOALIE SAYVILLE, NEW YORK

Caminske played in 10 games last season starting seven making a team high 74 saves. He had a goals against average under 10 (9.99) and was in goal for three of the team four wins. Kurt, the son of Kurt and Barbara, is a Civil Engineering major. BEFORE CGA Caminske atteneded Sayville High School in Sayville, New York where he was a member of the lacrosse team. He was also a member of the High School honor roll every yearfor for his excellent work in the classroom. GETTING TO KNOW KURT Kurt’s favorite band is Zac brown band and his favorite college team other than CGA is the Virginia Cavaliers. The most used app on his phone is Pandora and if he could visit any stadium he would go to the National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo. His favorite place to visit is Grand Cayman to go Scuba diving.

MATT HUEMME SOPHOMORE - MIDIFIELDER SHERBORN, MASSACHUSETTS

Huemme was fifth on the team in both goals (13) and points (19) and tied for third with assists (6). Matt became a go to goal scorer for the Bears last season and will look to increase his totals this season. His brother Justin is also a member of the men’s lacrosse team. The Operation Research and Computer Analysis major is the son of Janelle Overson and Chad Huemme. BEFORE CGA Matt was a two time state champion in lacrosse at Dover-Sherborn High School playing for Coach Brian McLaughlin. He served as team captain his senior year. Huemme’s mom also attended the Coast Guard Academy and was a member of the School’s Pistol team. GETTING TO KNOW MATT If Matt could visit any stadium in the world he would go to Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite tv show is house of cards and he believes the greatest coach to ever live was Chuck Knoll. The most used app on his phone is music and he believes the best pizza is found in Medfield, Mass. at Royal Pizza.

BENNER GEURTSEN FRESHMAN - MIDFIELD RODMAN, NEW YORK

Guertsen was named a Brine All American and Academic All-American while attending Souther Jefferson High School is Rodman, New York. The son of David and Melanie is studying Mechanical Engineering. BEFORE CGA Benner was a three sport athlete at South Jefferson playing soccer, basketball and lacrosse. He led the lacrosse team in scoring in both his junior and senior year finishing his high school career with 56 goals 28 assists. Geurtsen graduated from South Jefferson with High Honors. Benner’s grandfather Archie Thames served in Korea (Infantry), his grandfather Desmond Parker served in Vietnam (Infantry) and his cousin Zach Geurtsen is retired from the Coast Guard (AST).

Hudson played high school lacrosse for the famous head coach Tom Marechek at the Friends School in Baltimore. Marechek is a member of NCAA, National Lacrosse League and US Lacrosse Hall of Fame and his number 42 was retired by the professional lacrosse team the Philadelphia Wings and hangs from the rafters in the Wachovia Center. Cole, son of Wayne and Amanda Hudson, will be studying Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. BEFORE CGA Cole played attack at Friends School of Baltimore. Hudson graduated with High Honors. He has two brother, Pearch and Scott and his Grandather served in the Army. GETTING TO KNOW COLE Hudson’s favorite college sports team besides the Coast Guard is Maryland and the greatest coach he believes to ever live is Vince Lombardi. His favorite book is A Walk in the Woods. his biggest pet peeve is complaining. The most used app on Cole’s phone is Swellinfo and he believes the best pizza is made by Finelli’s Pizza in Ellsworth, Maine.

FRESHMAN - ATTACK VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA As a senior in high school, Logan won the US Lacrosse Bob Scott Award. This award recognizes a player who goes above and beyond in service to his team, school and community. Ian exemplified the fundamentals of lacrosse, worked hard to improve his game and is a lead both on and off the field. Logan is an Electrical Engineering major. BEFORE CGA Ian attended Ocean Lakes High School and played lacrosse for Chris Renshaw. He was first team all conference and a Brine National All American. Logan was captain of the team his senior year. Ian was an AP Scholar with Honors. His father Frank is a retired USN LCDR and a F-14 Pilot. GETTING TO KNOW IAN Logan’s favorite TV show is the Office and his favorite food is beef quesarito with no sour cream from Taco Bell. If he could meet anyone, living or deceased, it would be Michael Murphy. The believes the greatest coach to ever live is Dom Starsia and the most used app on his cell phone is mail.

ANTHONY WYLER FRESHMAN - MIDFIELD FULTON, MARYLAND

Anthony comes in as one of the top lacrosse recruits from the hotbed of Maryland playing for one of the top pre school teams in the nation. Wyler played in the Brine National High School All American Lacrosse Classic representing Maryland. BEFORE CGA Wyler played for head coach Bob Shriver at the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland. In 2014 the Boy’s Latin School was national champsions. Anothony was captain of the lacrosse team in 2015 and was also captain of the wrestling team in 2013-2015. His sister, Esmerelda, is currently serving as First Lieutenant in the Air Force and is stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Boston. GETTING TO KNOW ANTHONY Anthony’s favorite food is chicken parmesan and his favorite TV show is the The Simpsons. If he could visit any stadium in the world it would be M&T Stadium in Baltimore and his favorite snack food is 100% whey protein. When Wyler was younger he was featured in an Old Bay Spice commercial.
