Ragle has potential to qualify for post season competition in open events or as a member of a relay. Senior captain Jessica Mulroy’s strongest event will be 3k steeplechase but has posted an 18:56 in the 5k. Mulroy potentially could move up in the long distance events with in the region. Junior Bonny Turnage had an outstanding cross country season as the Bears second finisher at the regional championships. Turnage could be a point scorer in the mile and possibly the 3k.

SEASON PREVIEW

Gabrielle Troise and Alexia Troise both burst on to the scene last season making an immediate impact on the team as freshman. The Troise sisters traded off holding the school record in the discus during outdoors while Gabrielle also set the outdoor school record in the shot put. Senior captain Tara Larkin and freshman Karen Hovey are potential championship qualifiers in multiple throwing events for the upcoming season.

In the mid-distance events sophomore Ashlee Johnson returns as a strong 800 runner who will play an important role in the 800 as a possible championship qualifier as well as a relay runner in both the 4x800 DMR. Junior Gretchen Krause had an excellent cross country season as she was the Bears top finisher during the Championship season.
