With an influx of a strong underclass and an experienced upper-class the Bears will look for an eventful 2017 season. After a third place finish at the NEWMAC cross country championships the Coast Guard distance crew is looking forward to getting back on the track. Burchill will be counted on as a key member to the Coast Guard distance crew and will also be looking to make an impact come postseason competition. Junior Ashlee Johnson leads the way in the middle distance events as she was the fastest 800 runner during the outdoor season (2:17.62). She will be an asset in all relays for the Bears during championship season and will also make an impact in her individual events.
