Whiteriver Group is an Irish business that first started distributing flooring in 1997 and have since grown to become the market leaders in laminate and engineered flooring in Ireland. The name of the company was inspired by the White River which runs through Dunleer, Co. Louth.

Over the years our company has also broadened its product range to include internal doors, mouldings and composite decking. The company was started by Brian Wogan and is now lead by his sons Iain and Bernard Wogan.

Panel construction

The panels for our laminate flooring are made up of at least four sturdy layers. These guarantee the durability and excellent quality of Whiteriver. This is how we create long-lasting floors for all requirements.

The upper surface of the flooring features a particularly wear-resistant overlay protection film.

The overlay protection film is pressed together with the individual, hardened decorative film to form a hard-wearing surface.

The base layer is a wood fibreboard.

On the underside of the base board, a moisture-resistant stabilisation film ensures the structural stability of the laminate flooring.

Revitalize your home

Timber floors need a minimum 10mm expansion gap around all edges where the floor is meeting skirting or fixed structures such as kitchen islands. This is essential for natural movement of the floor as room temperatures change throughout the year. The quick fix DIY solution is to leave a gap at existing skirting and cover with a small angled piece of timber known as “scotia”. The professional installer and discerning home owner will take the opportunity to add another dimension to their project by replacing the skirting and cutting the base of the door frame. This effectively allows the floor to float under the skirting and door frame for a flawless finish and makes installation easier.

White primed skirting and architrave continue to grow in popularity. Each length is pre-primed ready for you to add your own finish. Choose crisp white for clean lines or contemporary shades to match surrounding decors.
