Freelance: Frontyard Upgrade Proposal

Planting Upgrade of Residential Area Address: 8 Jilakin Loop, Canning Vale, WA 6155 Design Proposal: Chai Xin Yi Client: Mr. Ricky Date: 14 September 2020 The following proposal is an indicative suggestion for the site. Further assessment of the existing conditions would be helpful to determine if the proposed plant palette is suitable. 1

Then & Now Previous Scheme

Current Scheme

Planting Strategies The planting upgrade proposal for Mr. Ricky aims to address the front yard facing Alexandria Boulevard and Jilakin Loop. The proposed plant palette consists of low maintenance plants which will need full sun (mostly), part shade (for some), low water requirements. As the in-stock plants available in Benara nurseries are limited at the moment, I hope that the final outcome would make the front yard beautiful again and allow visitors to feel welcomed upon arrival at the same time.

Cost Estimate The plants selected are mostly ‘in stock’/ ‘in production’ as shown from the Benara website. I managed to email Benara to request for September’s Tradelist on 14/09/2020. The pricing information can be referred from the attached: [Current Plant Availability List- September 2020] I have highlighted the proposed plants’ names that co-relate to the plants in the Tradelist. Unfortunately, some plants could not be found in there, but similar species can be replaced in Mr. Ricky’s garden, so it should not be too much of an issue. Apologies about this as there is insufficient information available for me to do a rough estimated costing for total plants proposed. 15
