Refugees and humanitarian aid program 1-1 Introduction and work experience Al Mesalla since establishment worked as humanitarian unprofitable organization, working in many directions with vulnerable groups, in the different programs many projects and activities had been conducted targeted the beneficiaries from this project.

From opening vocational and illiteracy courses until providing social and legal support for the survivors of gender violence, and that is good experience in the human right sectors, supporting women, strengthen venerable groups, social, economical and political development.

Al Mesalla organization working with villages and urban people, and has initiative working with internal displacement, especially Christian, Muslims in the middle and south of Iraq, as they displaced to Kurdistan region after the violence in 2006 after burst of both of shitte Shrinks “ Emam Ali Hadi and Hassan Al Askari” Al Mesalla within framework of services and aid projects, was one of the organizations provided cloths ans other house material aids to Syrian refuges whom left their country to Kurdistan region after the violence occurring there.

On the basis of experience, expertise, and our believes of the rights of refugees, provide basic live needs, health for the refuges and their families, and in the sector of supporting refugees and attempts to create better live and services, they need serious work to success aid and to guarantee support refugees process, Al Mesalla created and designed new program under the name “refuges and humanitarian program” specialized in providing aid to refugees and improve their humanitarian situation.

1-2 Regarding to the program The program of refugees and humanitarian aid, supported by international human rights laws and local laws in Iraq and Kurdistan region, Al Mesalla attempt to provide humanitarian aid to refugees as they left their country to Kurdistan region because of the war in their country.

The activities of this program will be in the shape that protect the health of refugees, and in another hand strengthen venerable groups, in order to develop their ability to face refugee’s situation, in order to depend on themselves, and that will be through training and encourage then within new society.

result of violence in their place moving to safe areas, and provide support to the Iraqis, whom left Iraq because of previous wars and they would like to return to the country.

1-3 Supports of the program of refugees and Humanitarian aid Al Mesalla organization and within the framework of the project of refugees and humanitarian aid work in two directions in order to provide supports, first direction is providing financial aid and the second direction is providing non financial aid and the both direction depending on some standards:    

Age standard “children, youth, old people”.

Social standard “dissociation families, families without dependence and divided families”.

Gender standard.

Standards of health situation “ people in need, disable, and chronicle disease”.

1-5 What we can do?

Al Mesalla organization will provide supports to the purposes groups with the support from all the sectors and programs within the frame work of the project of refugees and humanitarian aid as follow: 

Monitoring and protecting human rights, education rights, health rights, good life, freedom of transportation, return rights, discrimination rights, economic rights, protecting rights and the rights of humanitarian aid.

1-6 Mechanism of work The program of refugees and humanitarian aid depending on more than type of work and more than one mechanism to achieve its goal:        

Survey, researches and evaluate situation Provide direct legal support for the people in need for it Monitoring, documentation of the violation of Human rights, and publish report in this field Conducting special debate, workshops for social, psychological and legal awareness Implementing campaigns and advocacy Training, and adult education Aid campaign Publish and media
