Mixed-use Development Chicago, Illinois
This project consisted of designing a mixed-use development in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The site is between Monroe St. and Madison St. (North/ South) and Peoria St. and Sangamon St. (East/ West). Mary Bartelme Park is directly to the south of the site. The intent was to create a development that would benefit the local economy, other residences in the community, and the developer. The development consists of five key components: a boutique hotel, a music school, a health club, retail spaces, and an integrated parking structure.

Placemaking: City of Metal Benton Harbor, Michigan
This project is located in the Arts District of Benton Harbor, Michigan. The area is home to many artists, musicians, and small businesses. Locals within the area are very committed to providing opportunities for people of all ages to express themselves creatively. The intent of this project was to create spaces/ places for people to utilize and enjoy. The “City of Metal” was created by my classmate, Aryana Robinson, and me. We chose to use shipping containers as residential and commercial spaces. A large gantry crane would occupy the center of the site. The crane would opperate on tracks and be used to move around the containers, if need be.
