Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, Lil' Moe to Headline This Year's Juneteenth
Singer, songwriter, rapper, Lil’ Moe will be the headliner at this year’s Juneteenth Festival to be held Saturday, June 17.
Rochester Mayor Malik Evans made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday.

Lil’ Mo, formally named Cynthia Karen Loving, is best known for her 2001 single "Superwoman Pt. II." She first gained recognition from being featured on Rap Star, Missy Elliott's record-breaking hit single "Hot Boyz."
Her more recent work includes appearances in the reality television series R&B Divas, hosting the Washington, DC based WKYS radio show 'The Fam in the Morning with DJ Quick Silva', and VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York.
Hosted by the Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commission, the festival is celebrating their 50th year. Sponsors include the City of Rochester, the 19th Ward Community Association and Branches Freelancing.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 17 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at 353 Court Street in downtown Rochester from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Visit www.RochesterJuneteenth.com for details and updates.
Black Girls Do Bike

7p.m.: National Ride of Silence (Liberty Pole, Liberty Pole Way)
Join Black Girls Do Bike Rochester and Monroe County cyclists in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.

Onsite registration starts at 6p.m., followed by a preride ceremony. Ride starts at 7p.m. sharp. The only requirements besides a bike to participate in this ride to raise awareness are the ability to ride along at about 10 mph and the desire to quietly celebrate the fallen.
