Founded in 1899 to provide the finest painting and decorative finishing in Baltimore, Chambers has evolved to meet the needs of our clientele. We’ve designed five-star hotels around the world, luxury cruise ships, upscale residences, respectable clubs and commercial spaces, and have had the opportunity to be among the select few who have designed for The White House.

OUR STORY

Chambers hires a young decorator named Billy Baldwin, who is known today as the Dean of American Interior Design.

Roy Chambers is honored to be asked to decorate The White House library for President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy.

Chambers embarks on a journey to design the interiors of three luxurious cruise ships on the Princess Cruise Line.

Chambers is hired to work on the highly anticipated Condominiums at Robinson Landing in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

James H. Chambers, founder of The H. Chambers Company, establishes the first office near Baltimore’s shopping district.
