Executive Summary Raising Right was the identifying project with the goal of creating an environment of artistic collaboration among students. Raising Right was our purposed non-profit facility that would help parents and guardians to raise children. This project used real world skills of communication and teamwork by combining our skills and working together. Though only a purposed idea we strive to make this business is able to be implemented into the real world. This project was entirely student led and we self delegated roles in order to execute the project. I was Creative Director and managed all of the departments and work with group heads and CEO’s. The final deliverable was the funcual website rainginright.org. This report covers my part of the project and the deliverable I contributed and the details of my role. Job Description
Creative Director As Creative Director, I am was in charge of managing all of the departments and helped them collaborate with each other. I helped facilitate discussions among them and ensure they provided good deliverables throughout the quarter. The department heads would then contact me for further questions and concerns. I also worked with the CEO’s and Operation Manager to help make sure the whole project ran smoothly. That meant getting together outside of class and deliberating and presenting our ideas to the class. I was also part of the marketing department team as well. It was my duty to come up with the company's mascot and the company's name, Raising Right, was created by me and chosen by the marketing team. Additionally, I was tasked with writing the copy for the website for which the graphic design team could then use. I also wrote the script for both editions of the recorded radio advertisement the audio team put together.

The Problem There is no standard education for helping and guiding parents and guardians raise their children. While after school programs exist for the children's learning parents have little resources other than personal experience to help their parental decisions. Children raised in a lower income families have a higher chance of obese, being involved in crime, and child abuse. 1 2
The Solution Raising Right is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving new parents and guardians knowledge and resources to help them raise their children. We provide educational seminars and classes to instruct individuals on the fundamentals of caring for your child. We translate the complex task of raising a child into easy to understand formats so families from all backgrounds have the chance to give their child the proper care they deserve. Our goal at Raising Right is to ensure every parent has access to information on childcare and a trustworthy source to get their questions answered. This program would provide the necessary guides families need in order to successfully raise their child to be healthy and happy to the best of their abilities. Daycare will be provided for families who take our seminars and, in addition, books and phamlets will be available for their use. Seminar topics would include cooking, justice law, discipline practices and more. Staff will be CPR trained and knowledgeable in sources that families could access to gather further information.
The Results If funded, Raising Right will empower families by giving them the tools and knowledge on the best practices of how to raise their child. The long term goal would be to see child obesity decrease in the area and a lower crime rate over the next ten years. Short term goals for families that take our program include increased family functionality, increased education and knowledge of parental skills, and higher marks in the children's school.

The Deliverables To jump start the program, we have started the process of starting the community of Raising Right by having a working website (shown below) and the preliminary research necessary to start.
The Website raisingright.org Our website is a free scrolling, two page site. All information is located on the landing page, except the “Donate” takes the user to a separate page. Once we receive funding, the donation page will be operational for use to give. Included on the site is an “About Us”, “What We Offer”, and Podcasts. In between each section, is information about our organization such, as how we offer daycare and who is teaching our cooking seminars.

Name and Logo
As part of the Marketing team, I created the name for our organization as well as helped with the logo. The name quickly allows the viewer to understand what our organization is about and the alliteration gives a certain ring to it. I went with the penguin as our logo because penguins are wonderful parents in the animal kingdom who share dueled responsibility of their chick. As I collaborated with the graphic design team we decided blue would be the perfect color as it installs trust, that is the reason so many bank logos are blue.
