Social Culture Membership at the Chapel Hill Country Club is an invitation into an exemplary community. Time spent at the club is always a pleasure when you can count on the presence of great friends. With history dating back to 1922, the Chapel Hill Country Club understands the value of the community as a whole. Our family oriented atmosphere is centered around ensuring that members of all ages are involved in club life. Events are planned with the whole family in mind, while also providing separate activities for young and the young at heart. Your membership provides a home away from home throughout the year complete with ďƒžne dining, social activities, parties, athletic opportunities, and peaceful escape.

The heart of the Chapel Hill Country Club is the dining experience. Members are able to ďƒžnd something suited to their mood each time they dine at the Club. Fine dining and comfort food are available anytime our kitchen is open.


Whether you’re coming in from the courts, in need out on the course, looking for a relaxing dinner with family and friends, or a special occassion ne dining experience, Executive Chef Jimmy Reale ensures that member’s wishes are catered to. In addition to our main dining room, Lawson’s Bar is always busy for lunch and dinner, Isaac’s Porch offers a relaxed environment for family night and additional dining space, the Men’s Locker Room is stocked with a full bar, and three beautiful banquet rooms area available for private dining events. Chef Reale presents fresh menus adapted for each season focusing on locally sourced, organic and sustainable ingredients. Chef Reale's globally and locally inspired expertise reects the Southern charm and diverse nature of Chapel Hill. Before the Chapel Hill Country Club, Chef Reale spent ve years as Exective Chef of the four star, four diamond kitchen of the Carolina Inn, and seven years as Executive Chef of the Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center. Dinner reservations may be made for up to 12 people for the Chef’s Table, which includes a full-course meal with entertaining culinary education on the largest stainless steel preparation table in North Carolina in our kitchen.

Recreation

The Chapel Hill Country Club provides golf, tennis and summer swimming for members to stay active and engaged at any age. Our 18-hole golf course provides a scenic and challenging round of golf for players of all ages and skill levels with seven sets of tees. Our course is nestled in the hilly piedmont of North Carolina, and our members are able to walk the course, as well as take advantage of our always well-maintained golf cars. The Men’s Golf Association and Senior Men’s Golf Association, Women’s Golf Assocation and the Women’s Nifty Niners groups provide ways to meet and compete with other members and have fun throughout the year with special events and tournaments. Our new Junior Golf program readies younger generations for a lifetime of the timeless game of golf.


The Chapel Hill Country Club Tennis Program is one of the largest and strongest in the area. Members participate in many leagues and teams for men, women and children. In addition to lessons, tennis programs include our very popular and active youth summer camps and yearround clinics.

In the summer, the pool is the place to be! Families and members of all ages come to enjoy the friendly and relaxing pool-side atmosphere, and cool off in our recreational, kid-friendly pool with beach entry, or plunge in for laps in our competition pool. Our waterpark style slide is always an attraction. The Chapel Hill Country Club is home to the CHCCR Sharks Swim Team. The Sharks compete against other private club swim teams. Our pool is open 7 days per week from Memorial Day until Labor Day.


Spring

The course and grounds come alive with color. Mothers and daughters enjoy an afternoon tea, and children make a mad dash for Easter eggs at the World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt! Laughter, music and enticing aromas ll the air on Friday nights with Fridays on the Porch. Parents and couples enjoy ne dining and time with friends while children build friendships, play, create and dine at Kids’ Club. Experienced players and those looking to learn a new game are excited to get out again and partake of the recreational facilities. It’s easy to spend the entire day at the club with golf, tennis, cooling off at the pool, swim team and dining available at the pool and in the clubhouse.



Summer

Lightning bugs ďƒ&#x;ash in the distance while members enjoy an evening picnic of Southern summertime bliss and music lifts spirits under a star-ďƒžlled sky. Waterfall sounds from the fountains and waterpark style slide provide a relaxing and fun-ďƒžlled days at the pool. Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day provide reasons to have golf and tennis tournaments, more fun at the pool and special all-American buffets. Summer brings the club together with new friendships that last a lifetime with golf, tennis, swimming, dining and special Summer activities. Summer Camps provide days of fun, learning and friendships for our young members in a comfortable and familiar environment with personalized attention. As summer winds down, families spend a night camping on the golf course for one last celebration of summer fun!



Autumn

Summer's enthusiasm spills over into autumn as nature creates yet another spectacular backdrop for club activities. Cool breezes and brilliant color refresh your perspective. Families look forward to candy apples and rides at their very own fair. Tents are pitched and marshmallows roasted at the annual campout. Families gather for an extravagant Thanksgiving. Autumn is ideal for outdoor play: athletic groups celebrate with end-of-year tournaments and camaraderie, and golf and tennis enthusiasts take full advantage of warm sun and cool breezes.



Winter

Action at the club never stops, and even though colder temperatures may limit outdoor play, the clubhouse is always bustling with activity. Private parties and member events for young and old make December a month of endless Holiday celebration. For those who enjoy North Carolina’s mild winter, the golf course and tennis courts are open whenever weather permits. Family Night, Friday Buffets and Kids’ Club, numerous holiday events, the Snow Ball Gala, Valentine’s Day, the Super Bowl and other winter traditions make the Chapel Hill Country Club a great way to get out and socialize in chilly winter months. Our replaces are always ablaze and waiting for you!

Application Process

Membership at the Chapel Hill Country Club is by invitation only, and all applications must be accompanied by two letters of sponsorship from current members. Please enclose a $250 application fee payment. Application fee is non-refundable New membership applications are reviewed on a monthy basis by the Membership Committee which will then advise the Board of Directors. You will receive a response within 30 days of receipt of your application, but typically more quickly.

Upon acceptance, the ďƒžrst installment of your initiation fee will be due. If the Board does not approve your application, you will receive a refund of any payment toward your initiation fee. Inititation fees for approved members are non-refundable. The Chapel Hill Country Club limits the total number of memberships for each category. If your desired category is full, you will be advised of available membership options.


Golf Membership

Golf Members have access to all the club has to offer. Regular & Corporate Resident Memberships Initiation Fee: $20,000 Monthly Dues & CIP: $590 per family or $510 per individual Legacy Resident - available to children and grandchildren of current members Initiation Fee: $15,000 Monthly Dues & CIP: $590 per family, or $510 per individual Business Associate - must be designated by a current Corporate Resident Member Initiation Fee: $15,000 Monthly Dues & CIP: $590 per family, or $510 per individual Non-Resident - requires that you live 40 miles or more from the club. Initiation Fee: $1,000 Monthly Dues: $247.50 per family, or $207.50 per individual

Sport Membership

Sport Members have access to all the club has to offer except Golf. Initiation Fee: Monthly Dues & CIP:

$9,500 $455 per family, or $397 per individual

Social Membership

Social Members have access to the pool & dining facilities. Initiation Fee: Monthly Dues & CIP:

$7,000 $365 per family, or $343 per individual

______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Legacy, Business Associate, Junior, & Non-Resident rates are available for both Sport and Social Memberships. Quarterly dining minimums are $200 per family, or $100 per individual. Monthly dues listed above, with the exception of Non-Resident, include the monthly $95 Capital Improvent Program (CIP) fee.


Voting Memberships Regular Resident Membership... ...includes access to all facilities and programs of the club. Regular Resident Members gain the right to vote when the full initiation fee has been paid. Corporate Resident Membership... ...mirrors the Regular Resident Membership with a few exceptions. Corporate Resident Memberships are transferable. Corporate Resident Members may sponsor Business Associate Memberships as described below. (The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the number of Business Associate Memberships in any category.) Corporate Resident Memberships are not eligible to be placed on inactive status. Junior Resident Membership... ... is available to individuals under age 40 and couples of which the older spouse is under age 40., and includes access to all facilities and programs of the club. Junior Resident Members will gain the right to vote when the full initiation fee has been paid. Initiation fee is payable in percentages on each anniversary up to age 40, with a minimum of 5 years amortization. For example, a member who joins at age 38 will have until age 42 to pay the balance of the initiation fee. This category allows phased increases in monthly dues to allow for growth into full membership. Monthly dues are staggered as follows: Ages 34 & under pay 50% regular dues Ages 35-37 pay 80% regular dues Ages 38-39 pay 90% regular dues

Non-Voting Memberships Sport Membership... ...includes the dining, social, tennis, and swim programs of the club for couples and families. These members may convert to Regular Resident Membership by paying the balance of the initiation fee at the time of conversion. Social Membership... ...includes the dining, social, and swim programs of the club for couples and families. These members may convert to Regular Resident Membership or Sport Membership by paying the balance of the initiation fee at the time of conversion. Business Associate Membership... ...is available in any membership category as an add-on to a Corporate Resident Membership. The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the number of Business Associate Memberships. Business Associate Members receive a 25% discount of regular initiation fees for the category chosen. Initiation fees are payable 1/3 at joining and 1/3 on the ensuing anniversary dates. The Business Associate Membership is transferable. These members may convert to Regular Resident Membership by paying the balance of the initiation fee at the time of conversion. Junior Sport & Social Membership... ...available to individuals under age 40 and couples of which the older spouse is under age 40. Includes access to sport and social facilities and programs of the club, commensurate with your elected category. Initiation fee is payable in percentages on each anniversary up to age 40, with a minimum of 5 years amortization. For example, a member who joins at age 38 will have until age 42 to pay the balance of the initiation fee. This category allows phased increases in monthly dues to allow for growth into full membership.
