HEY KIWIN’S! Every other month, Cal-Nev-Ha KIWIN’S treasurers submit a Treasurer’s Report Article (TRA) detailing their successes and failures from the past two months while sharing words of advice for other treasurers. Having served as KIWIN’S District Treasurer over the past term has been an incredible honor especially after reading all of of the inspiring stories each treasurer shares. It is one of my favorite things to do and I want to say thank you for every treasurer who has ever submitted a TRA. Congratulations to those of you who are featured in this compilation, but even if your TRA isn’t featured, don’t fret because there will certainly be a part 2 for the latter half of the term and your words are certainly valuable! As a side note, there are some articles here from treasurers who made their own layouts (kudos to them) and that is credited on the top of each page. So without further ado, jump right into The TRA Textbook where you will certainly find some amazing fundraiser ideas and laugh at the sincerity found in each article.

Halloween Movie Night This Halloween Movie Night was an idea that came to me after being discussed during the October bi-monthly Treasurer call. We will be selling popcorn and drinks for $1 each. We will be costing $3 at the door for entry into the movie night at our local K-hall. After a vote at one of our general meetings, our members chose Coraline as the movie to be watched. I really think that now I'm getting a hang of being Treasurer. At first I was really nervous about organizing fundraisers and getting stressed over having all the clubs expenses hanging on my shoulders. Now I understand how to organize fundraisers and have turned in Early bird dues. After a fundraiser was cancelled due to complications, I am currently planning a tie-dye fundraiser and our benefit concert. Although we haven't had a benefit concert since I've been in the club and I don't know what to do, I hope we will have one this year and hopefully it be a good and successful project. Hearing what other Treasurers are doing helps me to think about what I would like to do. My school's ASB is tough on what we can and cannot do but I'm learning different ways to tweak them into loosening their grip among the clubs. Currently, I am thinking of a fun fundraiser for Thanksgiving or is related to Thanksgiving.
