Monthly Report for August Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of
www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.

Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs.

HELP FOR FAMILY MARKOVIC FROM STARO GRACKO
SERBS FOR SERBS with Markovics in January 2015
Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS finished another big action of help to the seven-member family Markovic from the martyr village Staro Gracko on Kosovo and Metohija. In the dilapidated house hit by the shrapnel father Milan and mother Ljiljana live with their children Sofija (4) and Stefan (2). Three older members of the family also live with them.

HELP FOR FOUR FAMILIES IN SABAC
Representatives of the Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS visited four socially disadvantaged multiple children families near Sabac to which it provided household furniture and livestock in the previous period. The help was delivered to families: Gligoric (seven children), Simic (four children), Pajic (six children) and Krsmic (four children). The total value of the action was 112.647 dinars.

Joka is a single mother of four children: Ljubomir (14), Stefan (12) and twins Ivana and Ivan who are 10. We found the mother returning from harvesting blackberry for a wage. On this occasion we donated freezer to Simics.

On this occasion we provided concentrate and chickens for family Gligoric whom we also helped in our previous action five years ago.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 Since Biljana is seriously ill, all household and children duties fell on Ljiljana who is very hardworking. She is working for a wage daily trying to provide elementary means. Ljiljana wanted to breed animals, so we provided 2 pigs, a goat and 20 laying hens.

The children are: Natalija (14), Aleksandra (11), Ivana (10), Bojana (9), Luka (8) and Miljana (4). The family is very modest and hard-working. It used to breed a dozen cows, but now they are on the edge of survival. Despite his great desire to work and provide better life for his children, the father cannot achieve that because he needs to take care of them daily. We provided a washing machine and made everyday Sinisa’s duties a bit easier, and concentrate and chickens so that the children have something to eat for a while.

Serbs for Serbs with Krsmic family The last family is consisted of two sisters, both single mothers. Biljana Krsmic run away from her abusive husband with her minor son Nikola (17) and came to her sister Ljiljana Krsmic who has three children: twins Goran and Zoran (15) and daughter Divna (14).

Monthly Report for August NEW BATHROOM FOR FAMILY GOCIC FROM NIS
www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 The residents of Nis felt the mission of “Trojka iz bloka”! During the last year, after the detailed and dedicated work of the ORNAS members, they picked and helped the seven-member family Milojevic, and during this year they helped the seven-member family Gocic! It is easy to calculate a wonderful number – ten children received better and easier life thanks to countless good hearts of their fellow citizens from Nis!
Charity organization Serbs for Serbs together with the Student-Pupil Association ORNAS from Nis have successfully organized sport-charity project “Trojka iz bloka” for two years in a row in the city on Nisava. During the summer we helped the seven-member family Gocic who is living in the Gornji Matejevac village in the Pantelej municipality. The family is consisted of: mother Milena, father Milan and children Iva (7), Ugljesa (5), Vera (4), Nada (4) and Dimitrije (3). We helped them in renovating and equipping the bathroom. The project was realized with the help of the Sport Association of the City of Nis. The total value of help was 114.335 dinars.
The manifestation which celebrates life and the hope for better tomorrow and the community of good people for two years has succeeded in proving and demonstrating its most precious qualities; from the perfect tournaments to the noble and timely help for the socially disadvantaged multiple children families.
We have already mentioned the Gocic family from Gornji Matvejevac near Nis on the “Trojka iz bloka” website shortly before the tournament which took place on May 16 on the fields of Elementary school “St. Sava”. On that occasion we presented the problems of the Gocic family to the Nis public and proposed the idea of the young people from ORNAS to resolve the problems. Said-done. Family Gocic now has a new bathroom with renovated and refurbished space in the family house in which three generations live and have complex needs.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 The noble idea and mission of the sport-charity tournament “Trojka iz bloka” is to provide good conditions for taking care of the hygiene and thus create better conditions for growing up, taking care of themselves, better worldview and better future. New bathroom of family Gocic The parents, grandparents and the children who now have a bathroom on the lower floor and another room for children can say thanks to proud sponsors and participants of the tournament “Trojka iz bloka” who collected 104.050 dinars and thus afforded them the easier life in which they can continue fantasizing of further improvement!
These children now know they are not alone, and that the whole city is ready to stand on its feet and help! In a few years, with the help of God, these children will be young people who will be able to come to “Trojka iz bloka” in Nis and help someone in the same manner they received the much- needed help. Their father Milan wasn’t fortunate in his business, so the hand of help offered by the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs and ORNAS came to the right house in which little is needed to come back to the way of progress. We have offered that hand together! Monthly Report for August AID DELIVERED TO NIKADINOVIC FAMILY
In mid August, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited and helped the six-member Nikadinovic family from the village of Cvetke, near Kraljevo. The single mother, Ljiljana, raises five children – Filip (19), Stefan (18), Petar (12), Jelka (7), and Bogdan (5). The aid delivered to the Nikadinovic family consists of two pregnant sows and ten laying hens to the total value of 60,000 Dinars.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 The family had two bereavements in a very short period of time – Ljiljana’s father-in-law and husband died, leaving the children without their grandfather and father. The grandfather had worked in France and built a big and nice house, which the family inherited, but the burden of managing the household is all on Ljiljana now. With welfare of 11,800 Dinars and child benefit for the three youngest ones of 10,200 Dinars, one cow and garden they cultivate, it could be said that for now their living conditions are hard and modest. But life goes on and the future should be as bright as possible for the children. It is a difficult task, but Ljiljana has tremendous support. Well brought up and hard working children help their mother as much as they can, and when representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs came to visit the family, the oldest sons were not there – they were at work somewhere, working hard for a daily wage to help their mother. The youngest of the Nikadinovic family were at home and they did not hide delight at receiving the aid, when two pregnant sows increased their family’s treasure!

When asked by our organization what she needed, Ljiljana simply replied – a sow and several laying hens. We found an honest livestock salesman, who asked us to wait for about a month when he was to get young laying hens, so he would not sell this poor family old and worn out hens. The sows had arrived before the organization representatives visited, and to our great satisfaction, the youngest members of the Nikadinovic family, together with their mother, had their picture taken and they did not hide joy. www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 Tough years are behind this brave single mother. And now, with the help of good people and donors from all around the world, a helping hand was offered to her by the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, and the future does not look so gloomy any more.

His mother’s wish of getting the hens became clear to us then. Apart from the food and chickens, by having hens, she provides her youngest son with great joy of growing up in the village.

NEW BATHROOM FOR FAMILY BABIC FROM PRIBOJ
On August 16, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited and helped the six-member Babic family from the village of Gracanica, near Priboj. Obrad Babic and his wife, Bojana, have been blessed with four beautiful children, Andjela (12), Tamara (11), Miljan (7), and Zagorka (2). The Babic family got a completely new and furnished bathroom. Funds for this action were raised during July, at the “Trojka iz Bloka” Tournament in Priboj. The total cost of the action was 202,538 Dinars.
New bathroom One of the best “Trojka iz Bloka” Tournaments this year was held in Priboj, on June 14, and it will be remembered by the incredible energy and by huge number of young people who were present at the tournament! The sports-charity project has now been completely finished – the bathroom has been built for the Babic family from the village of Gracanica, near Priboj. There are four children in the Babic family, and we have built the new and nice bathroom in the house they are currently building. One of the sponsors of the Priboj Tournament – the “Dekor Priboj” Company had carried out the work, and representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the Babic family and made sure the work had been done properly.

This big help came at the right moment for the Babic family – money they have saved on the bathroom will be used for other numerous things to be done on the house, but most of them will have been finished before the winter. Winter is one of the big reasons why this hard working family is building the house – to live closer to school, which is now far away and the children have to walk there through big snow. Children are our future! The Babic little ones now have a brighter future ahead.

When there is will and great energy, no task is difficult. The task in Priboj was done immaculately. The beautiful “Trojka” led to the beautiful bathroom through the energy of young people from Priboj, who selflessly took the time and did their best to help their neighbors in need. And there are lots of people in need in the hills of Serbia, and the village of Gracanica is one of the furthest from Priboj. We had already written about the Babic family and their living conditions on the “Trojka iz Bloka” site, but there is no harm in repeating that the father of the family, Obrad, works day and night, despite his health problems; that they are in a difficult financial situation, but that they do not ask anyone for anything, and they are struggling every day for a better tomorrow. This struggle has been rewarded now and the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs has become their ally!
The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs would like to thank all proud sponsors, donors, and technical sponsors, who have contributed to the happy ending of the Tournament in Priboj! HELP FOR DUNJIC FAMILY FROM N.PAZAR
This summer, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped the five-member Dunjic family from Novi Pazar. The aid for this family consisted of windows and doors, to the total value of 73,001 Dinars. This was very important for them, because now they can finish their house. The single mother, Sladjana, and her four daughters, Dajana (7), Milica (6), Dusica (4), and Jelena (3) have a hard life, worsened by the tragedy of losing the head of the family, the husband and the father, in a traffic accident last year.
They have had lots of problems since then, but thanks to their closest relatives, neighbors and friends, they have managed to move on and continue with their lives. The mother, Sladjana, turned to faith and found big support in the Djurdjevi Stupovi Monastery.
Life must go on, and children are our future. This specific aid, consisting of doors and windows, has a wider meaning – we give the children nicer view of the world and we open doors to a better and nicer future. They are growing up, surrounded by their mother’s love, and now they know there are good people throughout the world who are there for them through difficult times.

PROJECT OF FAMILY DJORDJEVIC FINISHED
First visit of SERBS FOR SERBS to family Djordjevic in Sevce village
Family Djordjevic Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS has successfully finished big charity project of helping family Djordjevic from the Sevce village in Strpce municipality on Kosovo and Metohija which commenced at the end of 2014. During our first visit and initial help we delivered, the family somehow managed to “keep up”, but after the death of grandfather Bozidar and father Milorad in short notice at the beginning of 2015, Milenko (21), Milica (18), Danijel (13), Kristina (9) and Ivana (8) together with mother Radmila and grandmother Bozidarka were faced with uncertain future.
Thanks to big charity action for the reconstruction of the Djordjevics home, members of the organization SERBS FOR SERBS from Canada commenced a big Christmas campaign IN TIME FOR BOZIC through which they raised part of the necessary means (approximately $2,500), and the other part came from the donations from Germany, USA, Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and numerous other countries worldwide.Great number of individual donors decided to support the project of reconstruction of the Djordjevic’s house to provided them with a decent home and help them to overcome great family tragedy and difficult situation in which they are in.

Thanks to the cooperation of the organization SERBS FOR SERBS and its friends from the Eparchy charity organization “Majka devet Jugovica” which provided artisans and delivered the necessary construction material, in the beginning of June the works on the reconstruction of the Djordjevics home commenced.

BATHROOM AND LAMINATE FOR FAMILI ILIC
New house Association of the young artists Ras and Charity organization Serbs for Serbs commenced last year the big action of building a house for the six-member family Ilic from Novi Pazar. Serbs for Serbs helped in mid-July by equipping the bathroom and setting the laminate on the first floor of the new house. Members of the family Ilic are parents Slavo and Vita, their sons Mladen (28), Sladjan (26) and Dragan (23) and a grandmother. The Ilics still live in the distant village Sebecevo in the old house. The total value of the action of help is 340.397 dinars.

The help consisted in providing machines for washing and detergents (for cars, carpets, furniture etc.) and construction material. The machines for washing will enable regular income for family Tot in the forthcoming period. The total amount of help was 415.000 dinars. AID FOR ARSIC FAMILY FROM VUCITRIN IN KOSMET
In mid-August, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped the seven-member Arsic family from the village of Grace, in the Vucitrn Municipality in Kosmet.

The parents, Miodrag and Desanka, have three sons: Boban (16), Goran (26), and Grujica (28), who is married to Cveta (23), and they have a 3-month-old daughter, Andrea. The aid consisted of purchasing an electric stove and a freezer, to the total value of 60,000 Dinars. The action of helping the Arsic family was supported by the employees of “Prvi Partizan� company from Uzice through the donation of 50,650 Dinars.

Monthly Report for August PERFECT „TROJKA IZ BLOKA“ IN KLADOVO
www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 The help provided in the sport-charity project is dedicated for family Nikolic from the Sip village near Kladovo. The family has seven daughters who live in very difficult conditions. We will try to persuade that this is not a dream, that they are surrounded by wonderful and noble people who will try to help them in the best possible way. All details related to the action will be timely published on the “Trojka iz bloka” website. Kladovo decided to resolve a big problem, and they made the big tournament – a spectacle which commenced by playing the anthem of the Republic of Serbia. After that the gathered crowd was addressed by Mladen Matijasevic on behalf of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs and Bojan Bozanovic who is president of the Basketball Club “Djerdap Kladovo” and who after his speech officially opened the tournament by shooting three-pointers together with basketball player Nemanja Krstic.
On Thursday July 23 on the fields of the Elementary school “Vuk Karadzic” in Kladovo the first “Trojka iz bloka” was organized! The tournament was organized by the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs and the Basketball Club “Djerdap Kladovo”, while Kladovo responded on the best possible manner – over 1.500 people came to the field, over 150 people applied for shooting, and 201.660 dinars and 30 EUR were collected! These incredible numbers are result of the tremendous work and effort of amazing people from Kladovo! That is not the end! We also expect to receive the payment from the Kladovo Municipality as well as several other companies from the town of big heart. One can always bet that Kladovo will do the right thing!

Monthly Report for August Charity organization Serbs for Serbs thanks its proud sponsors, donors and technical sponsors, as well as bold volunteers who gave their contribution in making the tournament in Kladovo into one of the most successful tournaments of the sport-charity project “Trojka iz bloka”. Great success for great mission of “Trojka iz bloka”! BC “Djerdap Kladovo” gathered really great number of good people who have helped in every possible manner – sponsors, donors, technical sponsors, volunteers of the Red Cross, Motorcycle club Kladovo, KUD “Polet”, Association of Nature Lovers “Divljina”, volunteers on the field who are the club’s cadets… The biggest financial support to the tournament was provided by the proud sponsor Rhine Danube Sheepyard by donating 100.000 dinars, as well as other sponsors such as My Trendy Phone – 12.000 dinars and Agrar – 10.000 dinars. The donors in Kladovo were also: Kafanica Elite and Comi-Prom – 6.000 dinars each, Café Zero – 3.000 dinars, Lord Café – 2.000 dinars, and tavern “Kako je sudjeno” and Casa Romaneasca – 1.000 dinars each. www.serbsforserbs.org 2015 The atmosphere on the tournament showed the spirit in Kladovo among the people – it was evident from the number of people that came to the tournament and in the number of people who have supported it and who will support it afterwards. We expect to receive the payments from the Kladovo Municipality, companies Tekijanka and Conal-Group, as well as trade unions of “Sloga” and HE “Djerdap”. We really needed good sound equipment, because the boys from the Motorcycle Club Kladovo had a special concert in one part of the field and showed the technical possibilities of their machines. The official DJ of “Trojka iz bloka” Sale L from THC La Familija magnificently responded by his choice of music for everyone who gathered on the tournament, and he even occasionally silenced the music in order to hear the bikers “play”. Great fun in Kladovo! Boys and girls from KUD “Polet” decided to shoot three-pointers at the same time, which caused laughter in the audience, as well as Stefan from THC La Familija who decided to leave his mike and try to take away the ball from the best basketball freestyler Nemanja Blazic Tricky. Bore and Stefan supported and called everyone to shoot, and they were giving funny comments on shooting and music competition. They also called Uncle Dzo to rap his songs in the pause between the shootings, and at one point they called everyone to greet the girls and the mother of the family Nikolic who came on the field to thank gathered people. Due to the great excitement they were moved and full of impressions, and they quickly left.

The magic of “Trojka iz bloka” in its best edition in Kladovo! The tournament continued until we proclaimed the best, until Ivan Nojinovic shoot the most threepointers and won the gold medal and a trophy “Trojka iz bloka – Kladovo”. The silver medal went to Aleksandar Lazarevic, and the bronze to Vukasin Cvetkovic. These boys were the best shooters, and all people on the field were part of one of the best tournaments of “Trojka iz bloka”! FIRST “TROJKA IZ BLOKA” IN MALDENOVAC
On Friday, July 31, starting at 7PM, another successful “Trojka iz Bloka” was held at Keni’s basketball courts in the May 25 housing development, in Mladenovac. Despite the bad weather and heavy rain two hours before the contest, numerous Mladenovac residents came to support this sports-charity event. The tournament started with the performance of the national anthem of the Republic of Serbia “Boze Pravde”, and after that people were addressed by the representative of the “Trojka iz Bloka” project, Milos Simovic, who thanked all guests for responding in large numbers and filling the bleachers of Keni’s court. Great fun was ensured by young and popular rap musicians from Belgrade, Uncle Joe, known as Ujak Djordje, and Rene, as well as the official DJ of the most famous rap group “THC la Familija” and the “Trojka iz Bloka” Tournament, Sale L, and the best basketball freestyler in Europe, Nemanja Tricky Blazic.

We owe big support and thanks to the basketball club “BB Basket” and their coach Boris Bosnic from Mladenovac, without whom the tournament on Friday evening would not be the same. There were 65 contestants who entered for the contest, and the most successful were Novak Radovanovic with 20 points (3rd place), Bosko Preradovic with 21 points (2nd place) and the winner of the tournament, Dusan Milanovic, with 22 points.

NEW “TROJKA IZ BLOKA” IN BOLJEVAC
On Sunday, August 2, another successful “Trojka iz Bloka” was held at the sports grounds of the kindergarten in Boljevac. Extraordinary sports day passed in a great atmosphere and it was also the day which the town celebrates as its Slava – Saint Prophet Ilija. Representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs attended the morning Liturgy at the Saint Prophet Ilija Church, and after that, they were hosted by the mayor of Boljevac, Mr Nebojsa Marjanovic, who thanked them for coming to Boljevac again and organizing another sports-charity spectacle. With the support of the mayor and the Sports Association of Boljevac, as well as numerous donors, another and even better “Trojka” was held in Boljevac! 77 contestants entered for the tournament, and a lot more people came to watch this sporting event. Together, they raised 56,550 Dinars! Congratulations, Boljevac residents!

Acknowledgement for “Serbs for Serbs” from city of Doboj On Wednesday, August 19, the city of Doboj celebrated its Slava, the Transfiguration of the Lord, and on this occasion, a formal acknowledgement of the city of Doboj was delivered to representatives of the Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS for selfless help and contribution to the humanitarian work in helping families hit by the disastrous May floods in 2014 in that city. In the course of previous year, the organization had provided valuable aid for over 70 families, consisting of appliances, furniture and construction material, as well as several tons of aid packages consisting of food, water, clothes and hygiene products in the first days following the flood.
On August 26, representative of the Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS Milos Simovic was a guest on TV KOPERNIKUS, on the “Serbia on line” show. He presented the work of the organization as well as conducted actions of help.
