Monthly Report for July Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

Monthly Report for July Ambitions
Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.
How to donate? 1. PayPal donation: szsamerika@gmail.com 2. Direct Deposit to Wells Fargo Bank account Please email us at: szsamerika@gmail.com 3. You can mail personal or business check to: Serbs for Serbs PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 4. Donation boxes: BEOGRAD CAFÉ 2937 West Irving Park Road Chicago, Illinois Owner: Dule Pavlovic
Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs.
NADA’S DELI & BAKERY 7316 West Lawrence Avenue Harwood Heights, Illinois
What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses; • their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.

HELP FOR FAMILY GORANOVIC FROM HERCEG NOVI
A single mother Mirjana with youngest sons Strahinja and Nikola During May, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped the six-member family Goranovic from Herceg Novi. We visited the single mother Mirjana and her five children: Bojan (17), Milos (14), Andjela (12), Nikola (11) and the youngest Strahinja (8) for the first time in late December last year. Our members, along with the priest Drago Pesikan, then agreed to help the family by providing them with machines for the production of mini-donuts. Family Goranovic will be able to significantly improve its household budget during the summer season with the help of the purchased machine. The value of purchased machine amounts to 1,300 EUR.
We call upon all the people of good will to get involved and contribute to the projects of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs which aim at helping the socially disadvantaged multiple children Serbian families throughout Balkan. Monthly Report for July SFS VISITED FAMILUY JURISIC NEAR PIROT
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The conditions in which the family lives are very difficult. Old house is in pretty bad shape. It has a very small garden, where there are almost no conditions for farming. The family cannot afford domestic animals. The Jurisic family lives on social care, and on very small wages that they can earn with difficulties, given that people who call them to work know that they have four children to sustain and that they cannot choose whether to work or not, and they often receive several times less money than agreed, according to their words.
In mid-June, members of the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs from Nis visited the multiple children family Jurisic, which we plan to help in the scope of the project “Trojka iz bloka tournament, which will be held on July 30 in Pirot. Family Jurisic lives in the village of Sopot, which is about ten kilometers from Pirot. The family of Zoran and Silvija has four children: Danijela (16), Danijel (14), Zorica (12) and Sinisa (10). In the following period when family Jurisic is provided with the domestic animals, this facility can change the purpose and become a barn What makes the situation even more difficult is the fact that the Jurisic family is without electricity for three months. The electricity was cut off because after the installation of a new electric meter, even though they were spending the same, the electricity bill was up to three times higher, which they were not able to pay. The current debt with interest amounts over 55,000 RSD. The family was trying to find a solution in agreement with the local self-government and the Electricity Board in Pirot, but none of them wanted to help them. Regarding aid which would mean most to them in order to overcome this difficult financial situation, family Jurisic noted that a few goats, sheep and fowl would allow them to provide their children with food. In this regard, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, call upon all the people of good will to engage and contribute to the project, in order to enable better living conditions to another Pirot family. SFS AT FAMILY ZIVKOVIC FROM PADINSKA SKELA
SFS with family Zivkovic During June, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the seven-member family Zivkovic that lives in Belgrade suburb of Padinska Skela.
Terrible state of the ceiling and walls affected by moisture
Family members are parents Igor and Jelena with five sons: Nemanja (12), Luka (10), Momcilo (7), Dusan (5) and Vukasin (2). Father Igor is employed, while mother Jelena takes care of the children. The biggest problem of family Zivkovic is related to their living space, because they live in part of the old workers’ barracks, where due to poor insulation there is moisture on walls and ceilings. The plan is to renovate bathroom and kitchen, in order to avoid increasingly occurring health problems which the youngest members of the Zivkovic family are facing.
We call upon all the people of good will to engage and contribute to projects of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs which aim at helping the socially disadvantaged multiple children Serbian families throughout Balkan. Monthly Report for July SUCCESSFUL EASTER ACTION IN MACEDONIA
The last and the latest Easter action of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs in the area of present-day Macedonia, formerly Old Serbia, was successfully finished. It included the help to four socially disadvantaged Serbian families: Krstevski, Vasic, Perovic and Guskin, with allocated funds in the amount of 900 EUR. Through the warm early mornings, we traveled again towards Porec to meet family Krstevski from the village of Latovo in the Makedonski Brod municipality in the western part of Macedonia. The previous action of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs also included that long-forgotten area, Porec – small Sumadija, the abandoned area where Serbian tradition and customs were once greatly cherished.
On this occasion too, the route led through detour. Another road is officially nonexistent. The Porec area is wrenched and remote, unrelated to other roads. In order to reach that area, one must come from the western part of the country after Kicevo and move towards Makedonski Brod (formerly only Brod, South).
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 It’s sort of a horseshoe. From that point on through fifty, now abandoned villages where there are only 6,000 souls, one is coming to the lake Kozjak, near the capital Skopje, on the other side of the mountain Vodno. It is leaned against the landscape with the beautiful nature from the western areas towards the central belt of the country. The travel infrastructure is such that it is required to go detour, through Gostivar, Kicevo, to the village of Latovo along the Treska River. On this occasion the host Saso was waiting for us in Kicevo at the entrance to the town, where there used to be a well-known Army Barracks from the time of Yugoslav People’s Army. New mosques have sprung up all over the place. After the last local elections in the town, the mayor is Albanian. We went together to the store of white goods where we picked a refridgerator with the chamber, and other necessary items for the kitchen. A break in the village of Latovo, the village of the Duke Micko is infallible. Hard-working Saso offered us his plum rakija, pouring a glass with a smile, knowing that it is a custom for the Serbs to drink plum rakija, but also that it is rare in Macedonia to taste good plum rakija except for vine rakija. Fish was already ready. The catch was his from the river that runs next to the village. The name of Porec originated from such occurrence: near the river.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Slavica has Serbian, and she recently received new Kosovo documents. Therefore, she also has problems with medical care, because she is everywhere treated as a foreigner. Slavica and her family were provided with a woodburning stove Alfa Plam. With gratitude for the help obtained she said she also needed a two-seater with a bed and a hanging element for the kitchen.
Valentina and Saso Krstevski with the representative of the organization Serbs for Serbs He is grateful for the help. According to him, his household, his wife Valentina and their three children will be able to use the refridgerator and the chamber because they need it now most. During our visit, Hristina (17), Saska (16) and Borce (8) were at school. We talked about their necessities for the future. In a poor home, said Saso, everything is missing, but he would like to have a motocultivator, for better and easier farming. The next destination included in this Easter action of the organization Serbs for Serbs, who carefully record and help the forgotten Serbs in this small Balkan country, was a visit to a single mother Slavica Vasic (1967), born in Gnjilane, which she left in 1999 and found refuge in the Skopje suburb, in the village of Ognjanci near the town of Petrovac (named after king Petar).
With daughter Natasa, son in law and young granddaughter, we were welcomed and received thanks for the donation The last two families we helped live in Skopska Crna Gora, more precisely in Kuceviste, and the hosts are known to us, because they have already been included in the list of families for help.
Slavica and Mirjana Vasic with new Alfa wood-burning stove Slavica has three daughters: Dragana (25), and Natasa (23) that are already married, and Mirjana (20) who is living with her, but her biggest problem is related to the residency status because both she and her daughter are considered as foreigners. The Macedonian state refuses to give them citizenship or to issue the certificate of the identity card for foreigners.

Family of Srecko and Ljiljana Perovic has four children: Anastasija (10), Svetlana (6), Petar (9) and Kristijan (4) and it has received help in the form of electric stove and basic foodstuffs: oil, sugar, flour, candies, hygiene... The oldest Anastasija also had a gift for us, a drawing she specially prepared.
Mother Lenka and daughter Ivana Guskin with a new washing machine Family of Zlatko and Lenka Guskin who have three children: Nikola (18), Aleksandar (16) and Ivana (12) were provided with a new washing machine. Father Zlatko once had a cow, but he says he had to sell it. He is now growing pigs and chickens, but he would like to buy goats because of his children. He had to sell the car recently because of the debts of the household. The biggest problem still remains the need for better medical care of the sick mother Lenka and for additional tests, treatment and surgery of which the family simply cannot find minimum money to make it happen. Monthly Report for July SFS VISITED FAMILIES IN OBRENOVAC
At the beginning of July, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited two multiple children families in the area of Obrenovac. The Radosavljevic-Milic family consists of the parents, Dragan and Sanja, and their children: Sofija (13), Vasilisa (5), Nikolaj (4), Jovan (3), and Lazar (1). The priority for this family is to fix the roof, because it is in very bad condition. The second family is the Boskovicfamily, consisting of the parents, Nebojsa and Tatjana, and their children: Danilo (17), Stefan (16), Jovan (6), Katarina (5), Stefan (21), and Marija (15). The priority for this family is to provide the bathroom.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Before marrying Dragan Radosavljevic, Sanja had a daughter Sofija.
Worn out roof which needs urgent fixing Both parents are unemployed; the father works as a painter when he manages to get some work. They receive welfare of 19,000 Dinars and child benefit of 10,700 Dinars. Although they did exterior insulation of the house in 2013, their biggest problem is the mold on all the walls and ceilings, and the reason for the mold is the roof construction, which is in very bad condition and needs urgent replacement.

Monthly Report for July VISITING FAMILIES IN SMEDEREVSKA PALANKA
On Tuesday, July 6, representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade headed to Smederevska Palanka to visit two underprivileged multiple children families: Bosnjakovic family with four children and Djuric family with three children. Both families live in hard conditions without regular income, so we are going to try to provide them with the necessary aid. First we visited the Bosnjakovic family, consisting of the parents, Sasa and Ivana, and their four beautiful daughters: Milica (9), Milena (8), Marina (4), and Marija (1). Sasa had had a heart attack, so now he has stents and he cannot work anymore. They do not receive welfare, so they live solely on child benefit for their three children (7,500 Dinars) and occasional daily wages.
Due to financial problems, their electricity debt has amounted, and the electricity has not yet been cut off because of the baby. The house they live in is very bad condition. The house is full of mold and the roof is leaking.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Apart from that, they need new beds, a washing machine, a fridge, an electric stove, a freezer, a wardrobe, a table, some chairs.Serbs for Serbs charity is going to try to provide them with some of these things, thanks to the funds raised at the “Trojka iz Bloka tournament held in Smederevska Palanka, and the donation of Serbs from Windsor in Canada, more precisely Church-School Congregation of New Gracanica Diocese.
After the Bosnjakovic, representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the Djuric family, consisting of the single mother, Slavica, and her three children: Tamara (12), Uros (7), and Milos (5). A tragic accident befell this family in 2013, when the head of the family died working in construction.
Since then, they have been struggling to make ends meet, living on the family pension to the amount of 20,000 Dinars. That is not enough to cover their living expenses, so they also have difficulty paying electricity bills. They need to have their bathroom renovated, the second floor, which is currently unusable, insulated, at least one room for the children, an electric stove, laminate for a room on the first floor. We are going to try to provide some of these things for the Djuric family as well, using the funds donated by the Church-School Congregation of New Gracanica Diocese in Windsor.

NEW PROJECT – CHILDREN PLAYROOM IN KRAJINA
The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs launched a project of reconstruction and equipping the educational playroom for children in the wider area of Zegar in Dalmatia. The project aims to provide a place where meager children of different ages in those areas can gather, play and learn. In cooperation with the local priesthood of the Diocese of Dalmatia who is the creator of this project, works on the renovation of the space of future playroom had begun.
A small house in the ownership of the Diocese of Dalmatia will be transformed into a place for play and learning, given that apart from the elementary school in Zegar there is no place where the children can gather. The plan is to rearrange the yard and install playground equipment and to capacitate three rooms in the interior of the house, each of which would have its purpose.
One room would be provided for the youngest children, another room would be provided for the school-age children, while the third room would be provided for the informal classes in which the children could learn more about Serbian history and tradition, religion and the Serbian language and letter. The project certainly deserves attention and it should be for the benefit of the whole meager Serbian community from that area.
The estimated financial value of the entire project is around 5,000 EUR, while the real value in the sense of preservation of culture and national identity of our children in Dalmatia is simply immeasurable. We use this opportunity to call upon all the people of good will which have Krajina in their hearts to support this project which is financially modest, to brighten the childhood of our children at least a little bit and at the same time encourage them not to forget who they are and to which people they belong.

SFS AT FAMILIES IN CACAK AND KRALJEVO
On July 7, 2016, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade and Toronto visited two multiple children families in Kraljevo and Cacak. We first visited family Vasic with five children in the village of Vrdila near Kraljevo. They need a greenhouse. Then, in Ljubic near Cacak, we visited family Pavlovic with six children who primarily need to replace the roof construction.
Vasic family from Vrdila near Kraljevo consists of parents Bogdan and Ana Marija and children Ognjena (20 years), Vasilisa (16), Petar (12), Stojan (9) and Momcilo (2). Bogdan and Ana Marija are from Belgrade, but they decided to take an unusual step – to leave the city and go to live in the village. They first lived in a village near Vranje and last year they moved to Vrdila. He is a sculptor, and she a painter, and now they do not have a secure job, that is any regular income, so they rely solely on their own livelihood. They breed turkeys, sheep and chickens and hens and grow plums, raspberries, onion, etc. They want to build a greenhouse in the future period, in which they can grow vegetables and flowers for their own needs and sell.

This hard-working and upright family certainly deserves the support of our organization, so we will to try to provide them with greenhouses and other necessary assistance in the following period. Father Branko, mother Zorica and children Kristina (21), Stefan (18), Andrea (17), Sara (15), Uros (13) and Kristijan (6) live in a small home. They have a children's allowance and earn by working for a wage.
The funds for this will be provided thanks to the donation of Serbs in Windsor. The family has already expressed its wish to help other families through our organization when it gets fully back on its feet. Pavlovic family house where it is necessary to replace the roof construction In a conversation with them we learned that their most urgent need is to replace the roof construction as it is currently leaking all over the place, and afterwards buying a new washing machine, two bunk beds, a small greenhouse, etc. Our organization will try to provide at least some of it in the following period, thanks to the funds collected at the tournament “Trojka iz bloka in Cacak and of the means of Serbs from Windsor, Canada. In order to ease them the difficult living conditions at least to some extent, we provided aid in the form of two sofas, a closet and a water heater in the amount of 540 EUR. Not far from Gracac we visited family Stanisavljevic consisting of parents Ugljesa i Marija, with children Nebojsa (5) and Nenad (1). We provided front door for this family and groceries in the amount of value of 700 EUR, because in the fall and winter during the heavy rains the wind brings moisture in the house and makes life more difficult, especially for the youngest ones.

Family Stanisavljevic in front of new front door The third family we helped is family Djilas from a remote village near Srb, on the very border with Bosnia. The family consists of father Radovan and his wife Biljana with children Predrag (15), Milica (13), Radmila (11), Stevan (9), Miroslav (9), Sladjana (6), Mirjana (4), Bozidar (2) and Dejan (1).

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 We visited another family we had helped in the past on this occasion as well, and delivered the agreed aid. For a single mother Danijela Kljajic from the area of Glina on Banija and her four children Jelena (18), Milan (16), Nikola (13) and Danijel (9), we delivered the concrete pillars with a fence, in a value of 800 EUR. The purpose of the aid is to protect the property where the family will breed laying hens, with the aim of further sale and economic independence.
Dejana Macesic at her new working desk
Family Topo richer for yielding cow Two fattening sows were bought for family Macesic The family lives in a rented apartment in Vojnic due to school obligations of children. For the needs of the youngest ones we purchased bunk bed, working desk and a chair, while we provided more specific aid for the whole household in the form of two fattening sows which they will grow on the nearby farm. The total value of the aid delivered was 900 EUR.
In the vicinity of Dvor on Una, also in Banija, we visited and helped two families. We first visited family Topo from Rujevac consisting of parents Goran and Djurdjica and children Milana (13), Gorana (11) and Milan (10).

Monthly Report for July After family Topo, we came to another multiple children family – Kovacevic from the village of Vanici. In a rented house, parents Vladimir and Dragana live with their children Branko (8), Lorena (6), twins Anastasija and Petar (5), Andjela (3) and Lara (1). The big problem for this family is the fact that they do not have their own roof over their heads. They are trying to buy out the house they are renting, but the remaining amount of approximately 8,000 EUR is too big for the family without any permanent income and who has six minor children.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Further in Banija, more specifically in the near and distant surroundings of Kostajnica we visited five families. First we visited family Rebic from Donji Kukuruzari, consisting of a single mother Dragana with her son Danijel (6). For this family, we delivered a washing machine in the amount of 280 EUR.
Laminate provided for family Ostojic Family Kovacevic is provided with combined stove and refrigerator In line with the current situation, the only kind of aid we could provide for this family was to purchase basic household appliances: combined stove gas/electricity and a refrigerator. The total value of the aid amounted to 440 EUR.
After that, the road led us to family Ostojic. Parents Miroslav and Sladjana have children Marko (7) and Zora (7 months). Since they live in a house without floor, which poses a major problem especially for the youngest ones, we have provided material for placing the laminate primarily in the living room where the family spends most of its time. The value of procurement of material amounted to 550 EUR.
Cow with calf for family Lovric

The next family we visited and helped was family Lovric from Slabinje in the municipality of Dubica. We didn't find parents Sinisa and Marija at home, nor Kosta (13) who was in school, but grandmother Ana and grandfather Milan thanked for the delivered aid – cow with calf in the value of 1,450 EUR.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The last family we visited in Banija in the scope of this Easter action, is family Janic in which parents Milan and Zdravka live with children Branko (11) and Sasa (9). Unfortunately, the youngest son Sasa suffers from a severe form of epilepsy. The difficult economic situation in which this family is in is further burdened by the child's illness. Family Janic is, like most families, doing farming and agriculture, and for them we have provided a used hay baler in the value of 2,000 EUR. With the provided hay baler, family Janic will be able to generate additional revenues, necessary for treatment of young Sasa.
Wood-burning stove Alfa Plam for family Dracina In Dubica we visited another single mother Marijana Dracina. She lives in a household with her mother Ranka and son Aleksa (13). For them, we have provided a wood-burning stove in the amount of 450 EUR.

Monthly Report for July Near Okucani in the village of Borovac we visited family Kuridza. Parents Predrag and Vesna have children Dusanka (9), Milena (7) and Luka (3). Here, unfortunately, we also faced a difficult economic situation, aggravated by illness of young Dusanka. She has had several heart surgeries so far. In consultation with the family, we bought used connecting parts for tractor (disc harrow and the sun) in the amount of 550 EUR. Given that it is a valuable and hard-working family, we will have them in our plans for additional help during the next actions.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Once again we witnessed the harsh living conditions in which the Serbian families live throughout Krajina, forgotten and abandoned by Serbia. We will continue our work in the future in the field of help to socially disadvantaged families, but also to those families who have opportunity for serious farming and animal husbandry. We thank for the support and help to the clergy of the Dioceses of Gornji Karlovac and PakracSlavonia, without whose efforts it most certainly would haven't been possible to successfully and efficiently conduct the planned action.
Members of family Bradas with delivered cow We would like to emphasize that we delivered a cow to family Bradas from Zagrovic near Knin, consisting of parents Drazen and Snezana and children Milica (12) and Jelena (10), which we had visited during the first part of the Easter action. The value of the delivered aid was 1,200 EUR.

Serbs for Serbs with Nikolic family
At the beginning of July, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the Nikolic family from the village Stulac, near Vrnjacka Banja. Big tragedy befell the family at the end of May 2016, when right after the birth of the fourth child, the father Vasilije died in a car accident. Now the family consists of the single mother Mila, and her children: Nenad (17), Valentina (11), Stevan (3), and Marko (1 month old).
We call upon all good people worldwide to get involved in campaigns of our organization by making regular monthly donations.
Youngest in the Nikolic family, little Marko is only 30 days old The father had done all kinds of work to support his family, and now the family is in big trouble. The mother was recently forced to sell all farm animals they had had, because she cannot take care of the children and animals by herself. Currently their only regular income is child benefit. The school is 2.5 kilometers away, so the oldest son needs a bicycle.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Beekeeping helps Aleksandar and Jelena Stevanovic raise four children: Milica (8), Natasa (7), Dimitrije (4), and Andjelija (2).We had visited them before the tournament and realized the necessity of getting the new equipment which would help them increase their income and improve their living conditions. Trojka iz Bloka recorded another victory, which just continues the winning streak that has been going on for five years.
The city of Nis was once again the host of Trojka iz Bloka, the biggest sports-charity tournament in the region, and once again the strength of humaneness, sport, and fun changed the life of one underprivileged family. On May 22, a lot of Nis residents gathered at the court of “Sveti Sava” Primary School to shoot 3-pointers and show that CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE! With big help and support of proud sponsors, donors, and technical sponsors, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs organized the third in a row tournament in the city on the river Nisava and saw the mission of the Trojka iz Bloka through. The aid reached the right place – ten beehives with bee swarms were bought, together with a honey extractor, for the six-member Stevanovic family. The total value of the aid is 140,712 RSD.
Milica and Natasa Stevanovic beside the new honey extractor with additional equipment for beekeeping Another family was given the opportunity to make a better future for them by working diligently, but more importantly, they gained hope and faith in good Nis residents! Hundreds of people gathered to shoot 3-pointers, and now hundreds of bees will have a new home! This fairytale-like story about basketball is actually real - it is a story about the magic of the Trojka iz Bloka!

Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS completed the second part of the campaign to finish works on the home of the six-member Naskovic family from the village Kuscein Kosovsko Pomoravlje. The first part of aid was successfully completed in November 2015, and the Naskovics were first visited just before Vidovdan the previous year. The parents, Boban and Mikica, raise four children: Danijela (8), Teodora (4), and the twins, Aleksandar and Aleksandra (2). The second part of aid consists of providing the materials and adding insulation to the exterior of their house. Short photo report, showing ongoing works, can be seen below.

BIG AID FOR BALJAKS IN KRAJINA
Condition of the house in April, 2016 In July this year, another big project was successfully finished. It was started by the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs and it was mostly funded using donations made by SFS branch Canada as part of the campaign In Time For Bozic 2016. It was the project of renovating an old house at the small estate of the eight-member Baljak family from the village Muskovci, near Obrovac in Dalmatia, primarily for the needs of the youngest family members. The total cost of the project (construction material and workers’ wages) was ₏7,453. The family consists of the parents, Trivun and Radmila, and their six children: Petar (21), Branko (19), Milana (18), Bozidar (15), Biljana (14), and Zeljko (12).
We had helped the Baljak family several times over the years, and the decision to start this big project was made due to the fact that this is the largest family that we had the opportunity to meet in this area.
Concrete floor poured in the bathroom in April, 2016
Currently four children live in the household; Milana is married and Bozidar is a Theology student, living in the Krka Monastery.
We hope that this house renovation project will significantly improve living conditions for the youngest Baljaks and at the same time help the family to stay at their hearth.

Monthly Report for July SERBS FROM CANADA DONATED $60,000 TO SFS
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 SFS Canada was established in 2014, incorporated in 2015 and received charitable status in the spring of 2016. To date, it has raised more than $100K to help Serbian families in the Balkans who live in poverty by providing the basic necessities of life to improve their living conditions.
SFS Canada has received $60,000 CA from Windsor's Gračanica Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church Congregation to deliver aid to families in Serbia and Republika Srpska. These areas were hardest hit by devastating floods over the past two years, including the most recent one earlier this spring.
SFS Canada's call-to-action is: When Serbs come together, good things happen! Children are our future!
Days ago, SFS Canada representatives travelled to Windsor to meet with Gračanica Church Board President, Peter Dobrich, Nikola Zubić, First VicePresident and Denise Chuk, Secretary, who presented SFS Canada's President Angelina Račić and VicePresident Mira Brkić with a $60,000 CA cheque, funds collected over a two-year period by Windsor Serbs. "SFS Canada thanks the Gračanica Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church and surrounding Windsor community for its faith in our organization. We look forward to working with them to fulfil our joint commitment to help Serbian families improve their lives despite adverse and trying conditions," President Angelina Račić said. "Gračanica church members and parishioners are keenly aware of the hardship our Serbian Brothers and Sisters live through as they literally and figuratively weather storms in their lives. SFS Canada's track record of being transparent, accountable and results-driven makes it the right organization to help us help those in need," stated Gračanica Church Board President, Peter Dobrich. SFS Canada, working with SZS in Belgrade, is in the process of identifying families in need of help. Regular updates on the "Windsor Project" will be featured on SFS Canada's FB page.

THE FIRST „ODBOJKA IZ BLOKA”
Representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs have launched the first charity tournament in beach volleyball called “Odbojka iz bloka”, which took place on June 26 on the fields of JP Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade. The tournament was attended by 32 mixed teams (two girls and one boy), and throughout the day the participants, bystanders and everyone else could enjoy the magic of beach volleyball. During the tournament we raised a total of 55,800 RSD from registration fees and contributions. Entire income from the tournament will be directed to help family Zivkovic from Padinska Skela. Top two teams from the group advanced to a further round of competition, i.e. eighth-finals and continued to compete on the cup system. To be more precise, who wins goes through to the next round (quarter finals and to the final round).
The idea of the tournament was that each registered team should play more matches, so the system was made out of 32 teams divided into eight groups of four teams, where each team had a minimum of three matches within the group.

On May 31, Kosovska Mitrovica hosted the tournament Trojka iz bloka for the second time on the field near the technical school “Mihajlo Petrovic Alas”, on the popular plates. The spectacle of humanity, sport and entertainment brought together more than a thousand people of good will! 85 contestants were kicking triplets for family Stojkovic from the village of Partes who urgently needs a new house. We have collected 21,680 RSD and the charity day continued in the evening in a tavern Princip where we collected additional 22,120 RSD! The citizens of Mitrovica showed last year that they can organize a great tournament and carry out major projects. Driven by the success of the demanding project of helping the maternity ward in Kosovska Mitrovica, they united again and showed family Stojković that they can help with their unity and sincere brotherly affection.
Just like last year, the tournament was opened by the Miss of Serbia, Katarina Sulkic, by solemnly performing a national anthem of the Republic of Serbia, and afterwards she surprised the gathered crowd again with the song Crven cvete.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 After her performance, all citizens of Mitrovica were addressed by Milos Simovic on behalf of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, and then by Nemanja Bisevac on behalf of the Student Parliament of the University of Pristina with temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica.
The greatest enthusiasm was caused by the Serbian basketball player Marko Keselj who came from Belgrade to support the second sport-charity tournament Trojka iz bloka in Kosovska Mitrovica! Young Serbian rappers Uncle Joe and Eldorado were with us in Mitrovica, and music performance was completed by girls from Kangoo jumps club from Kosovska Mitrovica, who carried out their interesting dance multiple times and enchanted the youngest and other guests. Nevena Acic was at DJ desk, and she entertained gathered crowd by the end of the tournament with carefully selected music.
The best among the best triplet shooters of Mitrovica were Darko Milojevic with 25 points, Savo Lazarevic with 20 points and Jovan Gvozdic with 19 scored triplets.

Everybody was cheerful, and the whole event was recorded by a local TV station TV Jasenica showing to the world the picture of people united in fight against injustice and poverty!
On Saturday, June 11, the sports-charity project Trojka iz Bloka was held for the first time in Smederevska Palanka. There were over 80 participants, raising 11,037 Dinars, and the total sum raised at the tournament was 82,447 Dinars! The tournament had begun to live a month before the ceremonial opening – first it had been announced by the concert of KUDAbrasevic, and on the occasion 23,500 Dinars had been raised from selling the tickets, and then humane rock musicians from Palankabands, Komandosi and Nekudim, together with the band from Obrenovac, U zmajevom gnezdu, had raised 18,910 Dinars at a charity concert!
Three proud sponsors supported the tournament with 7,000 Dinars each – Srdjan color, Rudnik D.O.O and DMINVEST, and one with 8,000 Dinars – Primasped. The total of 29,000 Dinars! The event had been very well promoted, so many people had heard about the mission of helping the Todorovics, and the people who had done a great job promoting it were Palanka High School and the principal Dragan Jokovic and intellectual and sporting elite of Smederevska Palanka – Jovica Radisavljevic, Dusan Gajic, Nenad Stanojevic, basketball player of KK “Konstantin” from Nis, Goran Ostojic, and football player of FC “Anzi” from Makhachkala.
The strength of united Palanka will be directed towards helping an underprivileged family from this gentle area, and you will be informed about all the details on the Trojka iz Bloka site. Not long ago, we helped the eightmember Todorovic family from the village Vodice near Smederevska Palanka, and the youngest Todorovics were our special guests at the first tournament in Palanaka!
All this resulted in a great tournament, which was technically supported by KK “Mladost” and a local rock café “Balkan”.

Children are our future! Be part of the Trojka iz Bloka!
The best among the humane “Trojka” shooters were Vladimir Zarkovic with 20 3-pointers, Djordje Vejnovic, 19, and Jovan Vukovic, with 17 shots. The gathered people were entertained by Gazda Paja and Ujka Djordje, and that is how another Trojka iz Bloka spectacle was rounded off! Humaneness, sport, and fun once again showed seemingly insoluble problems can be solved!
True winners were the youngest Todorovics, who cheered and rooted for the participants, helped collecting balls and went home full of impressions, having the best day of their lives! You cannot put a price on a child’s smile and everything we have done so far has been for that reward! We will keep helping the Todorovics and other underprivileged families, and we will regularly inform the public about all our activities on our site! Monthly Report for July „TROJKA IZ BLOKA“ HELD IN PANCEVO AND VLASENICA
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The tournament was again organized by the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs with the big support of Pancevo City Administration and the local manager Aleksandar Farkas. Priest Branko Bozic, a big friend of the sports-charity project Trojka iz Bloka, once again gave his blessing and participated in the tournament and thus helped the mission, leading towards a better future! Father Branko was a professional basketball player in his youth, and he delighted everyone with his precise shots and fierce slam dunks. An unusual sight of a priest making slam dunks and never missing a shot is a unique spectacle that can only be seen at our tournaments and represents the strength of the Trojka iz Bloka, which is the victory of all of us.
On June 8, at 6PM, the anthem of the Republic of Serbia was heard at the courts of KK Tamis, and the second in a row Trojka iz Bloka tournament was solemnly opened in the biggest city in Banat. Winning streak of successful tournaments continued in Pancevo, where our guests were European champions Dusan Duca Borkovic and Slobodan Bitevic – car racer and renowned karate fighter. This spectacle of humaneness, sport and fun brought together 82 participants, who raised 21,770 RSD from participation fees. The money is intended for the youngest ones from underprivileged families!
Pancevo recognized our idea – united around the noble cause, we can all help by playing basketball, not one team against the other, but all together in the same team, for the final victory, leading to a better life, better future and a fresh opportunity for people who have been blessed with many children. We gather for the second time in Pancevo, and we are going to gather many more times in the future, because we know that each and every tournament will bring back the smiles to children’s faces! Those in charge of smiles and good mood, as well as the whole program, were Bore and Stefan, who brought a lot of guests, brothers and friends to the tournament in Pancevo, the city that THC La Familija rightfully calls their second home.
3-pointers were being shot, 3on3 basketball was played, with good music to accompany all that, showing once again the strength of brotherly love and the wish to help those in need!
Lemi Dzi, Trijumf and Parke came to support the second tournament held in the city on the river Tamis, and young theologian and rapper, Uncle Dzo, took the microphone during break time before the final and rapped some of his hits to the joy of his fans, who always expect to see him below the baskets.
