Monthly Report for November Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE!

Monthly Report for November Ambitions

Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.

How to donate? 1. PayPal donation: szsamerika@gmail.com 2. Direct Deposit to Wells Fargo Bank account Please email us at: szsamerika@gmail.com 3. You can mail personal or business check to: Serbs for Serbs PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 4. Donation boxes: BEOGRAD CAFÉ 2937 West Irving Park Road Chicago, Illinois Owner: Dule Pavlovic

Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs.

NADA’S DELI & BAKERY 7316 West Lawrence Avenue Harwood Heights, Illinois

What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses; • their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.

Monthly Report for November

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 We remind you that the family Nikolic consists of a father Zlatko, mother Sanja and children Dusan (14), Andrijana (9), Teodora (5), Pavle (4) and Mladen (2). Both parents are unemployed. They live of social and child benefit help and father Zlatko is giving his best to earn some money by wage contracts. The house they live in is a donation of a good-hearted people and they live there from the last year. This donation was of a great help for them so that they could live in decent conditions for the 21st century.

NEW BATHROOM FOR NIKOLIC FAMILY

Members of the Charity organization "Serbs for Serbs" visited a seven-member family Nikolic from Poljane near the city of Obrenovac on Octobar, 20. The reason was making a report about the help provided for this family. The total value of the help is 576.517 dinars and it includes making of a new, completely equipped bathroom, well-drilling and providing hydrophore, plumbing work, sewerage, material for cesspool, power for the bathroom, kitchen and hydrophore, smoothing wall layer, laminate and buying trimmer and wood burning stove. The help was provided by the Parish-school municipality of Gracanica in Windsor, Canada, the tournaments "Trojka iz Bloka" in Obrenovac, Paviljon, 23rd block and the section of Performing Arts at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade which organized a charity play "Talks between men and women" in the end of May.

The biggest wish of the youngest family members was to get their bathroom and our Organization provided even more than that. Now they can continue their life more comfortably. Here you can see the process of making a bathroom for the family Nikolic:

Monthly Report for November JEREMIC FAMILY FROM RUMA GOT A VALUABLE HELP

Exactly four months after the realization of one of the most successful tournaments this year, ‘TROJKA IZ BLOKA’ held in Ruma on the July 2nd, representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs once more paid a visit to this humble place located in Srem district. The reason of this revisit was one of the best ones so far – thanks to the funds raised in the above-mentioned tournament, we have successfully finished our humanitarian action to help nine-member Jeremic family consisting of grandma Milica, her sons Dejan and Goran, Goran’s wife Danijela and their five children Milos (13), Marko (12), Nemanja (10), Jovana (9) and Lazar (3). This is one hardworking family which never gave up fighting against all troubles that came upon them when Goran’s brother Dejan, lost his leg more than a year ago.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 During the first visit to this family, in July this year, it has been planned to help them by reconstructing children’s rooms, buying new beds for children and providing the family with small livestock so that the family could continue breeding them. However, our host Goran was ready to provide himself with the livestock and he was ready for full cooperation, so we accepted his proposal.

Problems with moisture and joinery in Jeremics house (July 2016) Goran also proposed that he could do himself all the work in the house, so thanks to his offer we succeeded in saving tens of thousands RSD, which would be the cost of hiring professionals.

Members of the organization and family Jeremic after finished work Expensive medical examinations and even more expensive therapy for Dejan’s leg gave Goran and Danijela troubles with every day functioning and raising their five underaged children. But they have accepted this new situation and gave their best efforts to continue with their daily routines as much as possible.

Monthly Report for November As always, what we said four months before, we have done it! Two children rooms were completely renovated, isolation was put, new PVC windows were installed together with new laminate flooring, beds, mattresses and bedsheets. The value of the help provided for the Jeremic family was 302.089 RSD. But thanks to sponsors, donators and participants of the tournament ‘TROJKA IZ BLOKA’ from Ruma, 339.050 RSD was raised and the rest of the money, 36.961 RSD was used in helping other families which Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helps through the project ‘TROJKA IZ BLOKA’.

Single mother Zeljka with her children Boza (25), Ilija (23), Lazar (19) and Jovana (14) received the funds thanks to the first realized Trojka iz bloka tournament in Switzerland in Romont. IN VISIT OF TRAJKOVIC FAMILY FROM NOVO BRDO

At the begining of November representatives of humanitarian organization Serbs for Serbs visited Trajkovic family from the village of Busnica, in Township of Novo Brdo, at Kosovo & Metohija. Spouses Predrag and Grozdana have a son Milos (23), and daughter Marina (15), but a year ago this family was struck by a great misfortune when their second son was killed when their stable wall collapsed on him when they were trying to fix it.

This hardworking family lives from agrigulture and livestock, and from the things that would make their lives a little easier, would be an electrical stove, chainsaw, closet and sink. Within the already initiated action for helping families at Kosovo & Metohija, we will try to make sure they get all of the above. We're calling donators to support us in this action for help of endagered serbian families at Kosovo & Metohija.

SFS VISITS A FAMILY OF TWELVE

Family house in the construction wich is taking a long time Another "Trojka iz bloka" of Kladovo, continued the tradition of sportsmanlike humanatarian spectacle in the city on Danube, where on the wings of last successful "help to family Nikolic" mission came the turn of helping the family of twelve Jovanovic-Jankovic. The representatives of the Humanitarian organization Serbs for Serbs and organizers of Kladovo's Trojkas visited a family Jovanovic-Jankovic wich is consisted of mother Vesna, father Sladjan, and nine children: Sanja(24), Nikola(21), Mladen(17), Ivan(16), Stefan(14), Andjela(11), Milica(8), Darko(5) and the youngest Uros(4). The oldest member of this big family is grandma Djurdjica, who helps out the unemployed parents a lot with her expirience and working habits in their everyday problems.

Floor of the house in gray phase It's a delicate situation in this brave family. House they live in started constraction long time ago and from a big idea, only the groundfloor is finished, but the second floor was never built completely.

Stable and polish toilet Twelve member family lives from 11000 dinars of social help and grandmas minimum pension wich is 8000 dinars, but every month they have high running costs, wich are getting piled on top of the existing debt for electiricity and water that is 35000 dinars.

Monthly Report for November Today it means, that house has a big problem with walls and the celling wich need urgent smoothing and hitewashing.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The biggest issues that exist in big families are conquered by harmony and work, and in this familylove, harmony and work maintain the house. Because of that wish to progress, they've asked us to get them pigs and chickens, with the greenhouse that would help them the most.

Bathroom with old washing machine that no longer functions

Improvised kitchen

Moisture that appeared in the house affects the quality of life, furniture, wardrobe and in the end, unfortunately, children. They miss the washing machine and stove, and their heating is based on wood and that's another battle that they're fighting during these winter days.

Also, they've pointed out that for the better functioning in the house, kitchen is necessary, aswell with some small and big scale construction work. Kladovs have shown us last year, that they can pull off a bigger project, and family Jovanovic-Jankovic is our new big mission!

Father sometimes finds temporary jobs, and in their humble garden they have a pig and a rabit. They're processing a little garden, wich shows they're hardworking and that they want to work and live from it.

Photography with Jovanovic-Jankovic family We're calling out to all the good willed people to get involved and with donations help out with projects of Humanitarian organization Serbs for Serbs, who's goal is to help socially jeopardized multiple children serbian families across the Balkans. NEW HELP FOR DARABAN FAMILY FROM BIJELJINA

Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped a sixmember Daraban family from Bijeljina whom we previously visited during November. This family has four underaged children. We helped them by buying materials for installing a new bathroom with a value of 2.934 BAM. The family consists of the fatherIlijа with his wife Snezana and their for childrenIlijа (11), Gabrijel (13), Dijana (15), and Ivana (16). During the first visit, the family was provided with logs and a wood burning cook stove, and our hearts were filled with happiness. In that time, we gave our best to make the winter as worm as we can for that family.

Cuurent bathroom of the Daraban family (in the right corner, behind agitator) Talking with the father, Ilije, we came upon an agreement on buying the materials for building an entrance hall together with the bathroom under the same roof. Shortly after the visit, with the help of the donators – people with big hearts, we raised the money necessary for buying the materials.

Part of the construction material for future bathroom We didn’t give up from the idea to give the Daraban family a bathroom. Currently, they are using an old bathroom attached besides the house in the yard which is very small.

Monthly Report for November HELP FOR THE KRSTIC FAMILY FROM BOLJEVAC

The day of November 27th was a busy day for members of the Charity organization Serbs For Serbs. Together with representatives of the sports federation of the Boljevac municipality, they were at their final visit with the seven members of the Krstic family. Thanks to the funds raised through the tournament Trojka iz Bloka held on August 2nd, we were able to assist the Krstic family in insulating the external part of their home before the winter. 83,560 din ($706.69 USD) was raised through the tournament, and another 1,500 EUR ($1567.72 USD) was donated by Serbian volleyball star Jovana Stevanovic. The total funds raised comes out to 285,930 din.

Thanks to the repairs done on their home, the Krstic family will be spend significantly less money on heating during the winter time. Seeing as the winters in this part of Serbia are known to be long and harsh, the grandmother Nada says that this help was, “the right wind in the back for her family”.

Monthly Report for November SFS VISITED THE NENADIC FAMILY FROM GRAHOVO

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Cedo says that the first time he smiled after the war was when his first child Nikola was born. The family lives in their home that has electricity, running water, and a bathroom. Money for subsistence and maintaining the household are the Nenadic’s biggest struggle. The five of them live on only 130 KM ($65 USD) a year from a pension which Cedo receives because of his participation in the war, but every month they have expenses of about 50 KM ($25 USD) for electricity as well as the children’s school lunches.

Representatives from the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade visited the five members of the Nenadic family from the municipality of Crni Lug, part of Bosnian Grahova. Members of the family include: father Cedo (50), veteran of the Republic of Serbia army, his wife Sanja (30), and their kids Nikola (13), Djordje (10), Ruzica (8). After the war and complete change in the demographic picture of Bosnian Krajina, life through great anguish is getting back to normal. Cedo did not want to abandon his ancestral home, even though it was apparent to everyone that Serbs had lost the war in Krajina and that many difficult years were to follow.

The Nenadic family fight for tomorrow to be better- they have a farm of their own with about 100 sheep, one cow and two calves. Because of their hard work and effort invested in their farm, they have not inquired about more, besides the help that will support their treasure. They are in need of extending the capacity of their stable about 20-30 cubic meters, so that they can increase the amount of sheep they have to sell and with that improve their financial status. Very few people have returned to Krajina. Of the people who have returned, most of them are elderly and retired, Cedo is one of the rare ones who returned not that young in age, but young in his heart. In 2003, he came back to his home, married his wife who is 20 years younger than him and since then God has blessed their marriage with three children.

Cedo’s wish is to have a new chainsaw and tractor. The tractor they use now is from 1983 and it is not in the best condition. It is also necessary for them to complete the insulation on their home, fix their leaky roof, updating their kitchen, buying a new stove as well as beds and dressers for the kids.

In conversation with the Nenadic’s in their backyard

No one in the family is employed, but no one is sick either. The kids go to school and their parents make every effort to make sure they aren't missing anything. All three kids, along with other neighborhood kids travel twenty kilometers to school in Grahova and twenty kilometers home. Their neighbors organized to carpool the kids because they all realize that in this Serbian part the biggest treasure is their kids. They are their only hope for the future.

With a bigger stable, the Nenadic’s would be able to obtain more sheep and sell them to already demanding customers. Any help for the Nenadic family would truly be an investment in them and their hard work so they could make a better future for themselves. CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE! NO SURRENDER! SERBS FOR SERBS

During the talk with children, we have noticed that they have got new computer but they told us that they have not a desk and chair for it. The present representatives of Humanitarian organization Srbi za Srbe decided on spot to donate additional help for family Vuksanovic and asked the oldest Milica to find chair and desk in shops of Novi Pazar which they would want.

SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATION OF „SFS AT THE 61ST BOOK FAIR

At the 61st Book Fair in Belgrade, which was held from 23rd to 30th October, people from Belgrade and the rest of Serbia and region as well could get information about the work and successes of the Charity organization 'Serbs for Serbs'. Dear friends, supporters and people who have already donated were the guests of the organization for the second year in a row, this time on two stands, in the Hall 4. Together, among all the books and publishers, they have written new pages and successes of this decade-long charity work.

Charity boutique and the newest editions of the annual reports about the organization and its work were an absolute success and a fresh new experience for the book fair visitors. Thanks to the hardworking, dedicated and smiling volunteers who spent whole days behind the stands welcoming the fair visitors and informing them about the organization, the net of donators was broaden and nobody was left indifferent.

The organization's motto-donate and help-got its full meaning at the fair. There were three boxes for donations and people of all generations, from the youngest school boys and girls to elderly people made their contributions. There was something for everybody on the stands - badges, stickers, cups and flags. One of the stands was completely dedicated to the biggest project of the Charity organization "Serbs for Serbs"Trojka iz Bloka and Igor Rakocevic, Nemanja Blazic Triki, Dj Kobazz, guys from THC La Famila and Skabo welcomed the guests there.

A lot of visitors at the fair and people from every part of Serbia who reacted positively to the organization's presentation once again proved that the Charity boutique stands out with its most attractive patriotic motifs and that it finds its path to the hearts of people with the carefully selected verses and pictures. Verses dedicated to Stevan Sindjelic and the words of King Nikola about Bar liberation left especially positive impression to the readership of the 61st book fair. A living legend of Serbian poetry Matija Beckovic visited our stands and bought a T-shirt with king Nikola's words printed - "You will see us again- that is the least we can do".

The stand this year was not special only because of the verses- with the blessing from the monastery Visoki Decani, goat, sheep and cow cheese made by the monks was sold as well as a famous Decani's wine and in this way the financial situation of the monastery which is the last bastion of Serbs in disrupted Metohija was improved .

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016

Big and successful action at the fair was finished with 162.380 RSD of donations but the biggest success was definitely a great number of people who have heard about the organization for the first time and who have, after reading the report and short introduction, become our friends, supporters and people who will also donate in the future!

Independent students' association "Svi za Kosmet" took part in the book fair together with the Charity organization "Srbi za Srbe" and proudly presented its offer for the upcoming trips to the holy Serbian land. Fair visitors frequently stopped to see an interesting content- mostly it was Decani's cheese as well as an easily recognizable poster about a trip to Kosovo and Metohija. “SFS AT THE MOVIE FESTIVAL IN AUTSTRALIA

Charity organization "Serbs for Serbs" presented itself at the 15th Serbian movie festival in Australia. The event in which the newest movies from Serbia were presented in a few cities in Australia was officially opened in Melbourne on October, 27.

Those who volunteer because of love towards Serbian movies easily recognized the honest intentions of the members and volunteers from the organization "Serbs for Serbs" and a new collaboration was started which is, for sure, just the beginning of the years to come.

That was an opportunity for the guests of the festival to get information about the work and successful actions of the organization so far and representatives of the organization were answering the questions of curious Serbian people living in Australia after watching movies.

A decade of charity work left nobody indifferent, hence this presentation at the Festival of Serbian movies was a big step forward for the organization and its influence in Australia. There is a big potential for charity work in this country in which a lot of Serbian people are living and this Festival of Serbian movies is voluntarily organized by a group of Serbian enthusiasts from 2001.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The legend of Serbian and world basketball, a champion who won everything from Belgrade to NBA, Mr. Igor Rakocevic, became a new member of Trojka iz bloka family in grand style. In Visnjicka Banja, we had a great honor to try a new game our champion made up and which brings new, indefinite possibilities for our tournament - beat a professional in three-point shots.

“TROJKA IZ BLOKA IN VISNJICKA BANJA

The most successful season of a sports-charity tournament Trojka iz bloka had a magnificent endingVisnjicka Banja was a host for the first time to a 38th tournament on the last day of Indian summer, October 9, 2016. In the schoolyard of "Milena Pavlovic-Barili" school, both younger and older people gathered and a few hundreds of dear kind-hearted guests and 80 shooters and five proud sponsors and donators together collected 100.000 RSD for a five-children family Zivkovic. By signing up for the tournament and with a help of friends, the shooters collected 47.800 dinars and proud sponsors and donators helped their neighbors from Padinska skela and their better future with 52.200 dinars. Visnjicka Banja turned their words into reality: Milica, Aleksandar, Maki, Vlada and Stefan united their fellow citizens to help the neighbors from the other part of their city.

Trojka iz bloka attracted these young people driven by an honest wish and strength to help and thanks to them closing the season in Serbia overcame all the expectations.

This is how it was in Visnjicka Banja - you sign up to shot and try to win against Igor- if you succeed he donates 1.000 dinars into a box for donations, if you lose, you donate 300 dinars. Igor showed how real champions bet, but only one of fifteen competitors managed to win. It was our great friend and pro with a ball Nemanja Blazic Triki. Rakocevic lost and asked for a revanche, this time with ten, not five balls but Triki won again. The game was finished in the way Igor wanted- the box for donations had more than 5.000 dinars because he donated money for four, instead for two lost games and in that way made five young members of Zivkovic family the real winners of this competition.

A big mission of Trojka iz Bloka won the world in 2016 and the tournament in Visnjicka Banja showed it as well.

Monthly Report for November National anthem of Serbia, Boze pravde, was sung one more time this season at the tournament Trojka iz bloka and after the official opening ceremony Milos Simovic introduced the team, work and successes so far of the bigest project of the Charity organization "Serbs for Serbs".

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 They left everybody breathless by their incredible moves and fighting skills which they showed on a huge mat in the middle of the basketball field. Thanks to a hospitality of "Milena Pavlovic Barili' school and their principal Olivera Korosec, plenty of children from the neighborhood met the guys they can learn a lot about sports, friendship and well-doing from. Our fighters were dedicated to their performance so they explained the moves using a microphone. Our friends from Agy Pasta prepared their specialities for the tournament guests and they sold every portion for charity. SOS channel supported our projects as well as many other TV channels and they sent their team to make a special coverage of the end of this season.

Igor Rakocevic's support, vice-president of Basketball Union in Serbia, anonymous donation of 40.000 EUR from a Serbian sportsman from America together with a lot of big, individual donations from our world famous sportspeople as well as those smallest and anonymous donations- they are all a huge victory for the Charity organization Srbi za Srbe and the fight we lead against poverty for the last 11 years! Two tournaments ago we achieved the goal for this year- we collected 5.000.000 RSD for those in need! Over 5.000.000 dinars during five years of this unique project in this part of the world.

We celebrated these successes with our friend Skabo, a legend of Serbian rap music who supports us from the first day, master of basketball Triki and with one of the world's most famous stunt masters Uros Uki Certic. We celebrated the end of the season in Visnjicka Banja with the best music which Dj Paja Kobazz mixed from traditional and rep music with the help of DJ Dubi, our friend and neighbor from Palilula. The tournament was also supported by donations and performances of MMA Academy Kaizen and Kick-Box club Banja.

Proud sponsors of the tournament in Visnjicka Banja were Pharmacy 101, Cafe Dilema, Cage X and DMont which donated 10.000 RSD each and Mile Dejanovic who proudly donated and helped this mission with 100 EUR (12.200 RSD).

Luka Pavlovic was a winner of the 38th tournament with 20 three-point shots in a tough competition which lasted long into the night. Strahinja Stamenkovic won the second place with two points less and Marko Drincic won the third place after two rounds and 15 points. We congratulate all of these three young men who will be proud to be considered the best ones until the next year, new season and one more tournament in Visnjicka Banja!

SFS ACTIVE IN VIENNA WHIT KUD „JEDINSTVO“

One of the encouraging facts of the youth, from the homeland or Diaspora, grows with every day and they're ready to put their time and strength into these actions.

Members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Austria attended the yearly concert KUD-a "Jedinstvo" at Vienna, that was held on November 5th. Besides the concert, positive energy, happiness and making friends, all attendees had the opportunity to get informed about the work of our organization, donate or assist us by buying T-shirts and sweaters with ideal motives from our boutique.

The thing that surprised the members of our organization the most was the strength and will to help our people by the young Serbs from Vienna who in unity with the members of our organization stood at the stand and did their best to promote the story and effect the masses of Serbians to help the threatened Serbian families.

We are the witnesses of progress and growth of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs and we're thankful for the trust that we justify every day. If you want to join up with our Organization in Austria, contact us through e-mail at szsaustrija@gmail.com

CHARITY NIGHT IN ALBERTA, CANADA

On November 12, 2016, the 13th annual Krajiško Veče was held in the packed hall of the St. Simeon Church in Calgary, Alberta. This “not-to-be-missed” annual fundraiser offered guests great food, good music from the Krajina area, as well as an opportunity to remember less fortunate Serbian families. Over the years, the Krajišnici have donated money to families in the homeland (Republika Srpska, Republika Srpska Krajina, Kosovo and Metohija, Serbia) as well as to needy families in Calgary and local Serbian organizations. The Krajišnici have also been generous donors to the St. Simeon Church building fund.

SFS Canada and the Calgary Krajišnici, hope that this is the start of a long and successful partnership. Together, we will work to support needy, multi-children families in the homeland. SFS Canada is excited to announce that a portion of the proceeds from this year’s fundraiser, $1500.00, was donated to Serbs for Serbs!

CHARITY SFS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO

Long time friends and volunteers of the Chicago branch of Serbs For Serbs, Milos Zivkovic & Natalia Josipovic hosted a Palacinka Party at their home in Lake Forest, Illinois on Sunday, November 6th, 2016. The palacinke were hot and tasty and the mood was jubilant.

This palacinka party was an opportunity to introduce new friends to our organization and show them what we do and how we help. In addition to presenting the organizations activities in the US, we also showed everyone the video from our 10th Anniversary Celebration. Milos and Natalia, along with their guests were able to raise $550 this evening. So, along with tasty palacinke and great drinks, we had a wonderful experience Sunday night and look forward to the next palacinka party! For Decades, Serbs in Chicago have been participating in their local church Folklore Groups. Almost every Serbian Church in the Chicago area has its own Folklore Group.

The Folklore Group Oplenac, of the church of St. John the Baptist from Bellwood hosted their annual Fall Folklore Festival on Saturday, November 5th at the Serbian Hall of the Gracanica Monastery. Oplenac invited Serbs for Serbs to attend the event and bring imformative packets and brochures to share with their guests the humanitarian work which Serbs for Serbs does all over the Balkans. Only intending to briefly speak about our work, we were pleasantly surprised when individuals began giving donations. These kind and generous people donated $140 at the Folklore Festival to help Serbian families. We are very grateful to them and their generosity and hospitality. We look forward to being with them again in the future. CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE! SERBS FOR SERBS

www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 During this festival, 300€ was raised for the first mini project which will our organization conduct together with the Alliance of Serbs in Italy, in order to help soup kitchens on Kosovo and Metohija after Christmas.

Representatives of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade were guests in Vicenza, in the first children's festival of Serbian folklore in Italy, sponsored by the Alliance of Serbs in Italy and hosted by KUD “Sloga”. Our representatives seized this opportunity to present the work and accomplishments of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from the past eleven years. The main goal of this visit was to establish closer cooperation between our organization and the Alliance of Serbs in Italy in order for collecting and sending help, through our organization, to socially vulnerable families with many children. In this occasion, the cooperation was also established with the Serbian Orthodox Church based in Vicenza.

Vice president of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, Predrag Marinkovic, presented previous realized actions which helped socially vulnerable families across Balkans.

We were presented with the thank-you note, after presenting our organization and watching short promo movie. We hope that the Serbian diaspora in Italy will be more active in the future with helping its people in Serbia and across Balkans as well, with the coordination of Alliance of Serbs and our organization.
