Ridgelake Ridgelake is a multifamily apartment community in Sarasota, Florida consisting of 15 three-story apartment buildings, a single story standalone clubhouse leasing center, a maintenance building, a mail kiosk, and a trash/recycling compactor. The unit mix is 120 one-bedroom, 151 two-bedroom, and 58 three-bedroom units with 15 distinct unit types, along with two- and three-bedroom townhomes. Parking is distributed throughout the project with 106 spaces incorporated into the apartment buildings. All buildings meet Energy Star 75 and NGBS requirements. The arched ceiling at Ridgelake is worth a detailed look. Our goal was to create a spacious, open ambiance as guests en-

ter the lobby, and the structural design to make it work was an exciting and rewarding challenge. We were able to achieve a true barrel vault both inside and outside, with laminated beams that produce the shape. It’s an engineering feat that resulted in a truly unique and fresh front entrance that defines the building’s architecture. From the moment residents walk through the front door, they feel the comfort that makes Ridgelake a place they want to call home. Lush grounds, world-class amenities, and a well-appointed community contribute to a higher standard of living, and convenient shopping, local museums, and award-winning beaches are all close at hand.
