Sadie is a human who enjoys writing, reading and art. Her favorite books are The Graveyard Book and Good Omens. Her passions include creative writing and avidly worrying about environmental change.

Lydia was born and raised in Germany. After living in the same village for 19 years, she decided it was time for a radical change of scenery and moved to California where she found a new home. Lydia lives, breathes and studies politics at Foothill College. She has worked on several campaigns and wants to become an investigative journalist.

Charlotte is a first-year Foothill student who enjoys writing, boxing and Bruce Springsteen. She hopes to do something with her career that will make the world a better place, and as a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, she plans on moving to Canada next year.

Rebekah is a business consultancy principle owner of RMLJ Consultancy, LLP, a returnee to Foothill College for ongoing education, and a political activist on voting, education and opinions. She’s also an animal rescue volunteer, and a proud member of the baby boomer generation.

Alex is a musician who also loves playing video games. He lives for rock n’ roll and is obsessed with the music, the movies and the style of the 1980s. He often daydreams about becoming a famous rock star and loves spending a lot of his time singing at local bars on karaoke nights in front of tons of people!

Quinton is a portrait photographer who specializes in street photography. Through his gift of capturing the emotion of his subjects, Quinton reveals the heart and soul of stories untold. Devoted to his craft for eight years, he’s now pursuing a mass communications and journalism degree to help perfect his passion and hone his talents.

Jerry was born and raised in the Bay Area and a lifelong Golden State Warriors fan. His major is communication studies and he hopes to tell compelling stories through the power of sports.

Elena is a third year student at Foothill College studying graphic design with plans to transfer to San Jose State University in the fall. She's an amateur photographer, mostly documenting her travels. Aside from art, she spends her days making coffee as a barista—"if you ever get a drink from me, I guarantee it’ll come with Instagram-worthy latte art."


Tae currently works in the purchasing department of a trade company specializing in International E-Commerce. He recently obtained his AA in music technology at Foothill and hopes to transfer to a four-year university in public relations. With a deep passion for sports, music and journalism, he hopes his future entails work in those fields.

Brina is an undergraduate student majoring in communication. Born in Palo Alto, CA, she’s working towards obtaining her degree, and looking forward to graduating soon to pursue her dreams.

Jaime, who goes by Jimmy, was born in Palo Alto and raised in Redwood City. He’s an aspiring sports reporter, studying communications at Foothill College. He plans to get his AA Degree by the end of this spring and attend San Jose State University.

With an ADT in communication studies from Foothill College as a communication studies major, Brian intends to work at ESPN Network to perhaps be a host or reporter. He's also the first in his family to attend and graduate from college.

Leilani is a competitive surfing athlete and student with a passion for writing, using her voice for what is right. A fan of climate conservation, ocean protection and animal rights, she is largely focused on influencing the next generation to be better.

With a background in media, from television shows to movies and sports, Paul constantly attempts selfimprovement. With the mentality of a champion, he understands the energy and effort that must be put into everyday tasks in order to influence others.

Charleen is a 21-year freelance writer for Bay Area newspapers and magazines, a college journalism professor at Foothill College in Los Altos and Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, as well as a magazine publisher of Colorful Living Magazine. When she’s not grading papers or writing articles, she’s reading or working on her next book.

"I think sure, there are differences and changes in the weather, some have to do with climate change and some don't. We don't know when (climate change) will affect us."

"I think climate change is pretty important, but a lot of people aren't doing anything about it. A lot of my family lives in the Philippines and due to climate change, there's this one volcano that erupted that had been dormant for years. Lots of people died and lost their homes."

"There is no big change to us right now, but we know that it's here."

"Japan has four distinct seasons, which are really essential for the Japanese. I can sense that the seasons have changed, but it has not directly affected me yet."

"Climate change is very relevant to me. It's a big thing at the moment and I hope people will educate themselves more on it. I recycle, try to avoid waste and save water, but for example I need a car to get to school, so we need big changes to save the environment."
