SYMPTOMS OF TYPE – 1 DIABETES IN CHILDREN Under type 1 diabetes the pancreases loses the abilities to make insulin as the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the cell that produce insulin. Type 1 diabetes in children is a condition in which body no longer produces insulin it is also called juvenile diabetes or insulin dependent diabetes. Without insulin sugar cannot travel from the blood into cells which results in high blood sugar levels. Type 1 diabetes often appears during childhood.


Symptoms Signs and symptoms of type 1 diabetes in children develops quickly and may include below mentioned symptoms: Increased thirst Extreme hunger Fatigue Unintentional weight loss Irritability and behavior changes Fruity –smelling breath Frequent urination and bed wetting Blurred vision Girls may develop yeast infection Weight loss.


SYMPTOMS OF TYPE – 2 DIABETES IN CHILDREN In case of type 2 diabetes children are less affected with it older people suffers a lot with type 2 but it can occur when the insulin does not works properly if the insulin is not produced as required the glucose accumulates in the bloodstream. Symptoms Urinating more often , especially at night Tiredness Wound and injuries do not heal quickly Blurred vision dark and velvety patches on skin Females may develop PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome).
