02 DESIGN STRATEGY

Exploring, experimenting and testing out ideas and concepts. We are to produce series of models and sketches/drawings towards the end of this project 2, while not having a fixed outcome of what you should be proposing. This stage required intensive exploration of site context, building and space in paper.

03 PALIMPSEST INTERVENTION

The final project where students’ capacity to transfer previously learned skills: architectonics, ergonomics and manipulation of materials into a project of slightly higher complexity, and challenge students to create insightful and innovative designs to relook at Jalan Petaling and bring back people to the site by new interventions with existing buildings. “Preservation is a reproduction to allow later generations to understand history.” Rem koolhaas
