REFLECTION AND RATIONALE In Cop 1 I have focused on the overarching theme of society - narrowing in on branding in particular. In the first essay I enjoyed looking into the use of branding in big name corporations and how a brand actually works. Moving onto the second essay analysing how brands advertise themselves and their products was enlightening as it now makes me look at advertising in a new way. The visual investigation was my favourite project as I was able to create my own brand and focus it on gender, a massive part of society - in particular create a brand and an advertising campaign to fill a gap in the market and potentially even help people if it was put into production. The first 2 essays definitely helped me with the creation of the brand, however I think I could’ve put more effort into the first essay in particular. For Cop 2 I want to stick to discovering more about branding but also expand my knowledge to look at more aspects of design too - and in particular their relation with music. Music is a big love of mine and a massive part of society especially the entertainment industry and young people today.
