GOOD MORNING BANGKOK!

The right attitude By Jackie Chan Actor

I

was born into a poor family. My father sent me to a martialarts school at an early age. I was a child actor at six. Later I became a stuntman, then stunt coordinator and producer. All those years I never asked the Hong Kong government – not even the British government – to help me. I always helped myself. I’ve never thought about what my country could do for me. The government needs to take care of traffic and water and has other responsibilities. They cannot just think about you. I think every government wants to do good things. Everyone should think: “How can I make my country better?”

Dutch producer who was largely responsible for introducing Thai cinema to the world’s movie screens died on Sunday in Bangkok. Wouter Barendrecht, the co-founder and co-chairman of Fortissimo Films, was in Bangkok to view a rough cut of director Penek Ratanaruang’s latest film, “Nang Mai” (“Nymph”), a co-production by Fortissimo and Thailand’s Five Star Production. His body was found in his apartment on Sunday. A statement by Fortissimo said Barendrecht died of heart failure, though autopsy results are pending.

Championing Thai films Fortissimo has produced such films as Wong Kar Wai’s “2046” and the latest Asian Film Awards winner “Tokyo Sonata”. The company started handling Thai films around 2001, distributing Wisit Sasanatieng’s “Fah Talai Jone” (“Tears of the Black Tiger”) and the Pang brothers’ “Bangkok Dangerous”. It co-produced Pen-ek’s films, including “Last Life in the Universe”, “Invisible Waves” and “Ploy”, as well as Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s art-house hit “Syndromes and a Century”. DAILY

eavy rain has brought huge floods that have paralysed kilometres of traffic for several hours in main streets across Bangkok. Rain began to fall at 11am on Monday, causing gridlock and accidents by yesterday morning. Following the downpour, floodwaters rose on Soi Mahad Thai, a popular short cut between Ramkhamhaeng Road and Lat Phrao Road, stranding many

drivers. Traffic also came to a standstill on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road after nine cars were caught up in accidents.

More accidents occurred on Phuttamonthon 1-4 Road, while

two crashed taxi cabs held up traffic at the tunnel on Ta Pra Road.

Crashing billboards Parts of Chaeng Wattana Road also turned into a river but elsewhere it was strong wind that caused the problem.

On Bangkruay-Sainoi road gales brought a dozen or so billboards crashing down on the street. Flooding also hit some areas in Samut Prakan. The Tippawan district disappeared under 12 centimetres of floodwater not long after the heavens opened. In Nakhon Ratchasima province, the summer thunderstorm ravaged more than 150 houses, five dairy farms and a child development centre. Some 218 families are in need of assistance.

Houses collapse Thirty-six-year-old villager

Damrong Supimai was in tears when he saw his 40-year-old home had collapsed in the gales. Seeds and harvested rice were swept away by the floodwaters. Tamon Dangsungnern, 61, was awe-struck by the storm’s power, which ripped away her home’s roof. “I don’t have any place to sleep,” she said. “I urgently need relief supplies.” The Meteorological Department forecasts more thunderstorms in the coming days for many parts of the country, with scattered showers for much of Bangkok. It also warns of hailstorms.

utographed jerseys from Liverpool players and David Beckham, guitars signed by Bruce Springsteen and Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, as well as a Maradona jersey signed by ‘The Hand of God’ himself were auctioned last week as part of ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) charity weekend.

Liverpool legend Guest speaker, Liverpool legend Steve McMahon, then took the stage at the Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket to entertain dinner guests with a Q&A session plus anecdotes from his professional football career. In all, Bt400,000 was raised over the weekend to support the Thai Special Olympics (SO).

“You are helping improve the health and confidence of special athletes like me,” said Nithi Kaewsawang, in a thankyou speech. The Special Olympics representative and silver medal winner at 2007’s Games added: “You have given us the opportunity to do things we never thought we could do.”

Game on! The weekend’s programme kicked off with a charity golf tournament at Laguna Phuket Golf Club featuring 16 golf teams playing with the TV presenters. Then a crowd of almost 200 turned up for the auction, hosted by ESPN’s “Football Focus” presenter John Dykes. The ESS team also organised a Football Fun Day at the British International School

Soccer celebrities team up to boost Thailand’s Special Olympics athletes with an auction of sport treasures (BIS) with activities including football clinics and friendly seven-aside football matches between the presenters and the Phuket Reporters Club, BIS teachers and students. “A 30-minute TV programme dedicated to the event will be aired on ESPN STAR Sports in June,” said Michael Ayling, managing director of Laguna Resorts & Hotels. “I am particularly satisfied that the event managed to do so much to support the Thai Special Olympics and bring the benefit of sport to those less fortunate than ourselves,” he added. The event was part of Laguna Phuket’s corporate social responsibility to raise funds to provide more opportunities for aspiring athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Underwood takes CMA by storm Carrie Underwood captured the entertainer-of-the-year title at the Academy of Country Music Awards, the first female act to win the honour since the Dixie Chicks did back in 2000 and only the seventh to do so in the show’s nearly four-decade existence. “I’ve had a lot of good moments in the past four years. This one takes the cake,” the tearful former American Idol champ said on Sunday. With the win, Underwood, who also won top female vocalist, broke Kenny Chesney’s four-year winning streak and denied him the chance to tie Alabama’s five years of dominance in the category. Another female dominating not only country music but the entire music industry, Taylor Swift, won album of the year for her sophomore disc “Fearless”. Both of her albums have topped the 3- million mark – a rare feat in today’s music industry. The other winners included Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks, Jamey Johnson, Sugarland and Julianne Hough. – A P

Trial opens in celebrity

sex-photo scandal HK computer technician pleads not guilty to stealing images of actor Chen having sex with actresses, singers A P , Hong Kong

A

Hong Kong computer technician accused of stealing racy images at the centre of a celebrity sex-photo scandal pleaded not guilty yesterday. Sze Ho-chun entered his plea in a Hong Kong court as his trial got underway. The 24-year-old technician allegedly stole photos from the laptop computer of movie star Edison Chen showing him performing sex acts with eight Hong Kong actresses and singers. The photos shocked the Chinese-speaking world after their release on the

Internet last year, dominating headlines for weeks. The scandal prompted a disgraced Chen to make a public apology in February 2008 and to take a break from the industry, fleeing Hong Kong for Vancouver, Canada. He and others featured in the photos have only recently started to reappear in public.

Facing prison term Sze, charged with three counts of obtaining access to a computer with dishonest intent, faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison if convicted.

Yesterday, a prosecutor said that Chen sent a representative to drop his laptop off at a repair shop where Sze allegedly copied the photos. Sze also allegedly showed the photos to two other clients and made them copies of 1,300 photos on a compact disc, according to the prosecution. Chen, 28, through a deposition given in Canada earlier this year, testified against the technician and identified several of the women featured in the photos. None of the female celebrities – including singer Gillian Chung and actress Cecilia Cheung – is required to appear during the 10-day trial. Chen was in Singapore to promote his new movie, whose opening was delayed by the scandal.

The medieval walled city was in shock after the quake struck, killing more than 50 people, with many residents packing up a few belongings and heading out of the town as tiny aftershocks rumbled on and off. Some could be seen sheltering in their cars near their homes destroyed in the quake. Hundreds wandered around with packs of water, or with blankets over their shoulders in spite of the sunshine. White dust covered many heads. One woman, Clara, was shaking despite the warm spring air. After the tremor, “we wanted to go into the apartment to grab a few things but everything was destroyed”, she said. Another resident, Luigi D’Andrea, said: “I was sleeping when everything shook really hard and bricks started falling on me.” Hundreds of people, some in shock and others sobbing, waited outside L’Aquila’s main hospital for treatment.

fter 15 seasons of fixing patients and breaking hearts, the doctors of “ER”, the television drama that launched superstar George Clooney, booked their final appointment last Thursday. The 332-episode, multipleaward-winning series closed on NBC with a two-hour special. Blood-soaked drama returned for the finale, with an older man watching his lifelong sweetheart die and a mother dying after giving birth to twin girls. There was hope too, as the daughter of Dr Mark Greene looked poised to take over her late father’s profession. As she looked over a bloody scene, someone called out to her: “Dr Greene?” The popular Dr Greene, played by Anthony

Edwards, died of brain cancer on the show in 2002 after eight seasons as a pivotal character. Critics praised “ER”, set in the emergency room of Chicago’s fictional County General Hospital, for its ground-breaking style, brilliant casts and staying power. “It’s the longest-running

medical drama ever. Just in terms of pure popularity, you have to go back to the 1960s and the glory days of ‘Bonanza’ to find an NBC hour to match,” the Hollywood Reporter said.

‘ER’ stars George Clooney, left, and Noah Wylie at last year’s Emmy Awards. During its 15 seasons, the show had a total of 122 nominations and it won 22 Emmys.

Crichton, “ER” set pulses racing with an eye-catching cast that included Clooney playing Dr Doug Ross. They broke some hearts and warmed others in overlapping story lines capturing the hectic and harrowing life of an ER unit. Famous for fast pace and moving camera shots, the show “blazed an unprecedentedly realistic depiction of the visceral, pressurised practice of emergency medicine at a big city hospital”, the Philadelphia Inquirer said. The final episode was preceded by a one-hour retrospective in which actors shared their favourite moments. But it will be hard to top the emotional punch for fans in the one-episode return of Clooney to the show three weeks ago. “We must admit, the ‘ER’ finale tonight has something of an anti-climactic feel to it,” the Winnipeg Sun lamented. “Even if Clooney jumps out of a closet again, it’s kinda ‘been there, done that,’ ya know?”

Rumour has it that TV Thai

wasted no time getting the Japanese series “Nayok Muemai Hua Jai Prachachon” (“Change”) on the air because its premise matches our current politics. Having a young, changeminded prime minister certainly can’t hurt the ratings when the show’s about a young teacher propelled into the premiership by fate. Horrified by the corruption, he sets out to put things right. The story might have been a little too hard to swallow if Uncle Mak or Uncle Maew were still in office. The station is also promoting the show by inviting viewers age 18 to 35 to submit a video of themselves answering the question, “If you were prime minister, how would you change Thailand?” If you’re up to the task, head to www.ThaiPBS.or.th, but the deadline is today. Fixing Thailand is a rush job.

panish fashion brand Mango/MNG recently opened a new outlet at Central Festival Pattaya Beach, with leading models and celebrities on the runaway for a show of ’70s- and ’80s-style gear. Stylist Apiwat Yodpraphan says Mango’s popularity stems from its variety – the clothes can be easily mixed and matched. “For this coming spring and summer the ’70s and ’80s trends are everywhere,” he says, “but with Mango, the designs are more relaxed.” Case in point is the maxidresses in floral prints, all bright colours rather than earth tones, although the more subdued hues are in the collection as well.

Chalita Fuangaromya, a product model who also owns a TV production company, says she’s a big fan of Mango. “Being a presenter I appear at a lot of shows, and people remember what I wear, so I have to buy clothes often. I choose what’s trendy.” Some of the pieces shown on the catwalk haven’t even gone on sale at the Pattaya outlet yet. Buyers will have to wait a little while longer. Mango’s spring-summer collection is called “A Playground of Dreams”, and it’s inspired by nature and the modern landscape, with an ’80s feel. Daytime wear consists of voluminous silhouettes, as seen in exaggerated sleeves, wrap-around items, trousers and pinafores. Rectangular and oversized lines stand out in mini-dresses, tops and flowing suit jackets. For evening wear, there are one-shoulder mini-dresses and strapless necklines, in pastel pinks or in orange and blue, combined with fluorescent hues. Denim will be another big trend, with vintage and “broken” denim a must-have for your closet.

Before making a decision, do check out Bose’s QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones. This pair certainly lives up to its name. I tested the headphones for more than an hour without feeling any discomfort – I usually suffer if I wear on-the-ear headphones for too long. QuietComfort 3 offered me a blissfully quiet listening environment into which I could retreat even though my family was watching TV with the

ith its sharp 3-inch screen and excellent sound quality, the Samsung P3 Digital Media Player is ideal for anyone who wants to watch movies and listen to music on the go. It supports WMV, H.264 and MPEG video formats and its DNSe3.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine) improves the quality of compressed music files, in MP3, WMA, OGG and AAC formats. The provided headphones are satisfactory enough but music enthusiasts will probably want to trade them in for a premium or hi-fi set. The P3 comes with an intuitive and easy to use user inter-

face that allows you easily browse your music folder and tap a file, then play all the songs sequentially. Our advice would be to create one folder for each album to better access and manage your music files. The player also comes with an interface application that lets you use your PC to create playlists on the P3. You can use the application to get rid of your audio CDs and automatically transfer the files to the P3. The application, which is called EmoDio, also lets you convert text files into text-tospeech files for the P3 to read. Several choices of voice are available for download at Samsung’s EmoDio.com.

The P3 also supports small applications, such as alarm, calendar and games. More applications as well as skins of the user interface can be downloaded and added to the P3 with the EmoDio application. Samsung P3, which is only 9.9mm thick, is available in metallic black and metallic grey. The 4GB model retails for Bt6,990 while the 8GB is slightly more expensive at Bt7,990.

But even worse, this Thaicensored disc omits a bawdy sight gag by the Coens. The soundtrack and subtitles are in English and Thai. It’s priced at Bt200. – DAILY XPRESS

101-81 LeBron James scored 38 points and the Cavaliers avoided their first threegame losing streak of the season by spanking the San Antonio Spurs.

Hoey wins Estoril Open in play-off Michael Hoey of Northern Ireland won a play-off against Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano on Sunday to earn his first victory on the European Tour at the Estoril Open. “I didn’t really think about winning but I had all the breaks and it really was my day. It’s totally a life changing moment, it’s amazing really. If I can keep this mentality going it’s definitely the way forward,” said the 30-year-old Hoey, who carded four birdies in the first 10 holes on his way to a joint-best 5-under 66. – AP

Valencia eye Europe as rivals stumble Valencia set their sights on a top-four Spanish League finish, and a Champions League spot, on Sunday after brushing aside struggling Getafe 4-1. They are now just two points off fourthplaced Villarreal thanks to two penalties by David Villa in either half and strikes from Juan Mata and Raul Albiol. Atletico Madrid’s inconsistency continued as they crashed to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Osasuna. – AFP

Mackay dies at age 26 Australian Super 14 rugby player

Shawn Mackay died in a Durban hospital eight days after being struck by a vehicle in South Africa. Mackay, a 26-year-old forward for the ACT Brumbies, died at about 3am local time Mackay yesterday after suffering a cardiac arrest, the Canberra-based Brumbies said in a statement. Mackay suffered multiple injuries when an armed response car hit him in the early hours of March 29 following the Brumbies’ loss to the Sharks in Durban. He underwent surgery last week after being brought out of a medically induced coma. – Bloomberg

Mourinho calms title talk A disastrous own goal from Mauricio Isla handed Inter Milan a 1-0 victory at Udinese on Sunday and a nine-point lead atop Serie A. Inter coach Jose Mourinho insists the race is not over. “We know that nine points with eight matches left is a big lead,” said Mourinho. “We’re more comfortable and there’s a little bit more pressure on Juve. We didn’t win the title tonight, we know that we need 15 points more which means five.” – AFP

Andy Murray

Andy Murray took advantage of Novak Djokovic’s slow start to win the Sony Ericsson Open title 6-2 7-5 on Sunday. The No 4-seeded Murray committed only 19 unforced errors. “It’s my way of dictating how the match is getting played,” Murray said. “A lot of people might not necessarily think my game looks the most aggressive or offensive, but very few times will I not have the points played how I like them to be played.” – AP

Paul Casey makes a putt on the 18th green during a play-off in the final round.

CASEY CLOSES OUT British golfer earns first win on the USPGA in Houston A P , Humble, Texas

P

aul Casey won the Shell Houston Open on Sunday for his first PGA Tour victory, beating JB Holmes on the first play-off hole. The 31-year-old Englishman has nine international victories, but had never won in the United States. The victory boosted Casey to a career-high No 6 in the world rankings. “It’s time to start believing I can be a top 10 player in the world and maybe I can be in

the top five,” Casey said. “We’ll see when we get there. Clearly, I just took a little while to sort of get used to things and feel comfortable. Now, I feel comfortable out here.” Holmes needed a win to earn a trip to next week’s US Masters, but is the only player from last year’s Ryder Cup who failed to qualify. Casey bogeyed the 18th hole in regulation to complete a 72 and tie Holmes at 11 under. Holmes wrapped up a 69 almost three hours before Casey finished. The players met on the tee of the 488-yard 18th hole, the most difficult hole of the tournament.

Holmes hooked his tee shot into the pond that lines the hole up to the elevated green. Casey then drove into the fairway bunker on the right side and hit a safe lay-up to the front of the green. Holmes reached the green with his fourth shot, then missed a long bogey putt. Casey two-putted from 27 feet to secure the win. To force the first play-off at Houston since 2005, Casey had blasted his sand shot to the bottom tier of the green and two-putted from 36 feet. “It’s been a long week,” Holmes said. “I feel like this is the sixth or seventh round.”

Lincicome’s eagle wins title

Brittany Lincicome with her father Tom Lincicome.

Brittany Lincicome was brilliant when it mattered most. Lincicome sank a 6-foot eagle putt on 18 to upstage good friend Kristy McPherson and win the Kraft Nabisco Championship in California on Sunday, capturing her first victory in a Major. Trailing by one, the 23-year-old Lincicome broke through with an amazing sequence of shots on the par-5 18th. After hitting a booming drive down the middle of the fairway, she launched her approach shot across the water and onto the upper part of the green, with the ball curling down just above the hole. “Please be good,” Lincicome said as she watched the ball fly through the desert air, then smiled when it was. She then calmly sank the putt to finish with a 3-under 69, pumped her fist and hugged McPherson, who finished tied for second.

KOP THAT, RAFA Fergie rounds on Liverpool after Aston Villa thriller AFP, Manchester, England

ir Alex Ferguson resumed his mind games with Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez after Manchester United’s dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Villa enabled his side to reclaim the leadership of the Premier League. Ferguson still has an opportunity to collect five trophies this season now that United have a one point lead at the top of the table with a marvellous morale boost ahead of today’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Porto. But the United manager is more interested in stirring up trouble for his closest challengers for the Premier League title, in response to Benitez’s query over whether United can handle the pressure after Liverpool beat Fulham on Saturday. Ferguson has turned the heat back onto Benitez and, in a deliberate move to intensify further the rivalry between Liverpool and Chelsea ahead of their Champions League quarter-final tomorrow, has claimed that two-legged affair is also a contest to determine who will challenge United for the title. Liverpool are still viewed as the leading contenders but Ferguson encouraged Chelsea, four points off top spot having, in common with Benitez’s men, played one more game than United. “Everyone is screaming that Liverpool are our challenge,” Ferguson said. “But I think whoever wins between Liverpool and Chelsea in the Champions League will be our biggest threat because of the effect it will have on them. “It is an emotional fixture. There are never a lot of goals and it’s very, very tight and whoever wins that will take a big step forward.” Whatever the outcome of that

for the goals but there is always a goal threat in us. “You think we will score a goal and it is a great boost for us to come from behind and secure a great win. “We are the top of the table and that is where we want to be in terms of points,” said Ferguson of a win which followed league defeats at the hands of Liverpool and Fulham. “We have had a little blip but we have recovered to win with seven or eight players out, four or five of our very top team. “These young players are prepared to go to the very end. They deserve great credit for that. Through that [Villa] result, the season could change for us.”

Adriano goes missing The agent of missing Brazil striker Adriano says the player is staying with relatives in Rio de Janeiro and it’s unclear whether he will return to Inter Milan. Adriano’s whereabouts had not been known since he failed to fly back to Italy after Brazil's World Cup qualifier against Peru last Wednesday.

Ferrari chief Stefano Domenicali says his team must change their mentality to reverse the worst start to a Formula One season since 1992. The Italian outfit, who won the constructors’ championships last year ahead of McLaren, have yet to win a point this year after two races. The only other team in their predicament is Force India. Domenicali said they were not panicking, but things had to change. “We are very disappointed because, once again, we leave a circuit empty handed,” he said. “Clearly, we have to extricate ourselves from this situation, without panicking but with every one of us taking on our responsibilities. “We have to dig deep and react, starting immediately. “We have to change our mentality and accept that we are in a different situation to the past and that therefore we have to tackle it with a different approach, both on track and in Maranello.” The main problem for Ferrari is that Brawn, Toyota and Williams are using new rear diffusers that give extra pace. Ferrari, along with others, have protested and their appeal will be heard on April 14. Felipe Massa said: “We need to start from zero. We need to get together to understand point by point what is going wrong. And, try to improve everything. “We were not great before and stupid now. For sure the car is not strong enough. “We need to work on that, and we did some mistakes on the strategy and this kind of thing.” AFP

antamweight Chatchai Butdee thrust himself into the spotlight after claiming the biggest win of his budding career in the 31st King’Cup tournament at the Mall Ngamwongwan yesterday. The 24-year-old only entered the tournament as a stand-in for regular national boxer Worapoj Petchkum, who was injured, but proved that he is, indeed, more than just a replacement. Chatchai succeeded where the Athens Olympic silver medallist failed by pulling off an 11-5 win over seasoned fighter Juan Tipon of the Philippines.

The victory over Tipon, who defeated Worapoj on his way to gold in the Doha Asian Games, indicated how fast Chatchai has developed since his national debut in the previous edition when he suffered an early exit. “I was well aware of his credentials and where I stand in comparison. I am an inexperienced boxer, just a fledgling trying to fly in international events. So, I’m really delighted with the result.” Chatchai didn’t reveal his plans. “I don’t look too far ahead. It’s not my division. Normally, I box in the 51kg class. My body is relatively small compared to other flyweights.

However, I’m confident I can win the tournament,” said Sa Kaew-born Chatchai. Chatchai’s title aspirations will be put to another tough test in the semi-final where the Thai faces Pakistan’s Muhammad Wasim who put out Muhammad Solihin of Singapore with a secondround stoppage. At press time, two Thai light flyweights, Kaew Pongprayoon and Anant Pongkhet, have followed suit into the last four after comfortable victories, while Kittisak Chithiteeranan of the Thailand B team was on the wrong end of 19-10 result against China’s Yu Cen.

New Zealand were struggling at 167 for four when bad light stopped play almost an hour early on the fourth day, after being set a massive target of 617 to win the final Test. New Zealand vice-captain Brendon McCullum admitted his team was eyeing the rain forecast for today, but was ready to attempt to fight for a draw. “I guess you can’t pray for rain or expect rain to get you out of a sticky situation,” he said. “We got a partnership formed late this afternoon, hopefully with a couple of batters to come we can still try and get out of this.” Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh conceded India had both the weather and a slowing pitch to contend with in seeking their second win of the series. “The wicket has become a little slow, so if a batsman gets set he can get runs. You’ve got to work hard to get those last six wickets.”

THESPORT Manchester United’s new teenage hero Federico Macheda said he had a “dream day” after coming off the bench to score an injury-time winner in the 3-2 triumph over Aston Villa here on Sunday. The 17-year-old Italian’s majestic turn and strike deep into stoppage time at Old Trafford returned champions United to the top of the Premier League table by a point from Liverpool and with a game in hand. “I think this is the day of my dreams – to score a goal like that on my debut,” Macheda told Sky Sports, having scored a hat-trick for the reserves against Newcastle on Monday. United were without the suspended trio of Nemanja Vidic, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney while Dimitar Berbatov was injured. But Macheda more than made up for their absence and United’s club captain Gary Neville, back in the side after two months out with a groin injury, was suitably impressed. “I’m just grateful to him really,” Neville said. “In the first half we fell apart a bit defensively and I think I paid a little bit for not playing for a couple of months. “But in the second half we played the right way – we never stopped, kept passing the ball and got stronger as the game went on. “And the quality he [Macheda] has shown there for the finish at the end is unbelievable. “It’s a massive win for us,” added Neville after seeing United score twice in the last 10 minutes with Cristiano Ronaldo making it 2-2 after he’d given the hosts an early lead. “Today we got our job done,” said the England full-back, who’d seen Villa score through headers from John Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson did his best to keep Macheda’s goal in perspective. “I said ‘well done’. It’s important to keep his feet on the ground. He’s going to get a lot of publicity over the next few days and he’ll need to handle that,” Ferguson said.
