Attention Horse Owners

– the Village of Chase respectfully requests that if you ride your horse on roadways in the Village’s boundaries, that you remove your horse’s droppings. While we want to encourage a variety of modes of transportation, leaving your horse’s droppings can create a mess for other people to have to deal with. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our roads clean for everyone’s use.

This is my first spring in Chase and once we hit the month of May, I will have made it through my first year as a Chaser...Chasonion... Chasite...??? Love the vibe that this little Village has in the spring. People are out, busy, happy, planning gardens, walking puppies, eating yummy stuff from local cafes and chatting on the streets. I think we are all a little happy that winter has gone bye-bye for anther year! The Chase Library is a little beehive of activity right now and over the next couple of months as well. I have dates for some things like, another Tech One-on-One session on April 23 for those that need some one on one help with any tech questions, and the Paint Night on May 2nd and the May 8th visit with children's book Illustrator, Brooke Kerrigan - a great event for families. There is the Magic: The Gathering... Gathering for Teens on May 9th.

ROTARY AUCTION APPROACHING The 15th annual Chase Rotary Auction is approaching and the theme this year Monte Carlo - think jetsetting, classiness, luxury hotels and gambling. On that theme, there will be a black jack table and roulette wheel at the event. While fake money will be used for gambling, it can be cashed in for a chance to win real prizes. There will be a live auction, silent auction, door prizes, a wine auction and many other. The event, which takes place at the Chase Community Hall on Saturday, April 27th, is a huge fundraiser for the Chase Rotary Club. All the funds raised will be used for local projects, including supporting the Village's Active Transportation Plan in any way it can. The service auction is even more crucial

this year as one of the club's other big fundraisers has been postponed. The event includes a roast beef and chicken dinner and guests will dance the night away to a live DJ. Ticket holders are encouraged to come dressed to the theme, and the colours are red, white and black. If any businesses would like to donate prizes of any kind, it is very much appreciated. In addition to physical prizes, the club are really looking for service donations (ie. haircut, manicure, oil change, etc). Contact a Rotary Club member or President Terri Mindel at 250-819-0428. Get your tickets today at Miller's Cabin in Chase.
