Obituary

June Ellen Scott

June 15, 1938 - April 9, 2023

June Ellen Scott (nee Jackson) of Vernon, BC died peacefully on April 9, 2023 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 84.

She was born on June 15, 1938 in Kamloops, BC. She was the daughter of Dan and Dorothy Jackson and was one of seven children.

She will be remembered with love by her children: Russell (Wendy) of Prince George, BC; Rhonda (James) Colamatteo of Vernon, BC; Robert (Janelle) of Vernon, BC; Ross of Falkland, BC; Ryan (Laura) of Falkland, BC; grandchildren: Jamie, Blair, Angelina, Holly and Ivy; sister Shirley McConnell of Chase, BC; brother Dan Jackson of Chase, BC; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years Bruce Scott; sisters Donna and Vivian; brothers Bill and Ron.

June married Bruce in 1956 and made Falkland, BC their home where they raised their five children.

She will be remembered for her love of her family, her love of life, her generous heart and warm spirit.

In her later years she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and feeding the birds. Quails were her favourite.

She will be dearly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Falkland Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at the Falkland Community Hall.
